For Madamji, Priyanka Chopra is not only starring in the Madhur Bhandarkar directed film, she is also taking on the role of producer. The film is the maiden production of her home banner Purple Pebble Pictures and is a joint production with Bhandarkar Entertainment and Ram Mirchandani’s Rampage Motion Pictures.
About taking on this new avatar of producer, Priyanka said in an earlier interview with Toi, “I’m in love with everything to do with movies… the process, the creativity, the magic. This is an extension of that. I’m looking forward to the learning, the madness and the creative satisfaction of bringing a film alive.”
Once again, the director and the actress are diving into an interesting and intriguing performance oriented film featuring a woman as the central protagonist, the first of course being Fashion. About working with Bhandarkar again, Priyanka said, “As a director, he has a...

Though for past few years, Ram Gopal Varma has been struggling to give a hit at the box office, the director gained an iconic status way back in 1998 with his film Satya. And now, nearly 14 years later, Rgv is planning to make a sequel to the film titled Satya 2 and has managed to get none other than John Abraham to produce the film. Rgv announced on twitter, "I am not making Satya 2 to prove a point to myself or anybody else. In 1997, I was new in Mumbai and my child like fascination towards discovering its nuances is what which got reflected in Satya. After a while my expertise on it increased to the extent that I started taking my knowledge for granted which obviously will result in a certain degree of complacency and repetitiveness. But in Satya 2, after all these years I came across a subject matter which has put...

While Shekhar Kapur's dream project Paani is still on hold, the filmmaker is now focusing on an altogether new venture to be penned by Juhi Chaturvedi, the writer of Vicky Donor.
Shekhar loved Vicky Donor and was very impressed by the way Juhi had written the film. He then met up with Juhi and she agreed to write a film for Shekhar. Juhi has already started work on the film and is expected to complete writing this script by the end of the year. Apparently, the film is a social drama based in a rural area in Rajasthan.
Shekhar will be directing the film himself and the film will go on floors in 2013. He is also in talks with Ndfc to produce the film.
Currently, Juhi is already committed to three projects. One with Ram Mirchandani's Rampage Motion Pictures, the others with Shoojit Sircar's Rising Sun Films...

Vicky Donor is a universal hit, having worked in India and also on international shores, but the icing on the cake is the audience feedback across the globe. No wonder, the makers [J.A. Entertainment, Rising Sun Films, Eros and Rampage Motion Pictures] are contemplating making a sequel to this super-successful film that has attained cult status. The prime reason for taking the brand Vicky Donor forward could be attributed to the overwhelming response by those who have watched the film, besides, of course, its victorious run at the box-office. "The box-office success coupled with the awe-inspiring feedback across all mediums has prompted us to think on those lines. Yes, we are contemplating a sequel, not because we wish to capitalize on its popularity, but because a film like Vicky Donor is not merely a film, it's a movement," Ram Mirchandani of Rampage Motion Pictures confirms. Ronnie Lahiri of Rising Sun Films echoes similar sentiments, "Sure, a sequel is in the pipeline,...

It is now confirmed that Mausam will not be making its world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival® this week. The film’s stars Shahid Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and director Pankaj Kapoor were to be in attendance for the fabulous premiere event. However, because of problem with getting a final clearance they have had to cancel all three screenings. The delay in getting this final certificate is because the Indian Air Force has not cleared some of the scenes in the film and thus the Board of Certification in India was not able to give the go ahead in time for the film to show at the festival.

It looks like the glam-dream of seeing the three gen-x superstars Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan locked in a battle to the finish would remain just a fantasy. The expected clash on September 9 among Shahid's Mausam, Ranbir's Rockstar and Imran's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is not happening. Though official sources claim otherwise, Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar has been moved forward to November. There seem to be no limits to the delays being caused in the release of Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar. Though officially the latest release date is September 9, there is no doubt the film has been secretly shifted to November and with every chance of there being further delays. In fact a source very close to the project confirms Rockstar has been shifted to November while the film producers, Eros International, maintain the status quo on the release.
