Megan Moroney appeared on The Tonight Show to showcase her single, “No Caller ID.” The country singer performed the emotional ballad alongside her live band with a glittering guitar and microphone.
Moroney dropped “No Caller ID” back in January, marking the musician’s first new music since the release of her breakout debut LP, Lucky. The post-breakup ballad re-teamed Moroney with Lucky producer and Sugarland member Kristian Bush, as well as co-writers Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington, and Jessie Jo Dillon.
The single will appear on Moroney’s forthcoming LP, Am I Okay?...

On “Chevrolet,” Dustin Lynch explains how he doesn’t need much for everlasting happiness. Y’know, he simply requires a six-pack (beverage nonspecific), some Brooks & Dunn (let’s go with “Rock My World”), a little “country girl” (“dressed to kill,” natch), a vehicle (guess), and apparently free rein to rewrite the lyrics to Dobie Gray’s 1973 hit, “Drift Away.”
The song, which features Jelly Roll, the leading CMA Awards male nominee, and appears on Lynch’s upcoming Killed the Cowboy album, is a note-for-note remake of the 50-year-old soft-rock...

Unlike the character-driven songs on Lindeville, “Light On in the Kitchen” is centered around a simple conceit of offering a safe place where hard-won wisdom is abundant. With its gentle, brushed drums and light shadings of mandolin,...

Lainey Wilson Writes Her Version of ‘Strawberry Wine’ With Nostalgic New Song ‘Watermelon Moonshine’
Lainey Wilson looks back on a young and reckless love in the new song “Watermelon Moonshine,” her latest release from her upcoming second album. Bell Bottom Country, the follow-up to the “Things a Man Oughta Know” singer’s 2021 breakout Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, will be released Oct. 28 via Bbr Music Group/Broken Bow Records.
There’s some thematic similarity between “Watermelon Moonshine” and Deana Carter’s classic “Strawberry Wine”: Wilson describes a memory of being 18 and in love, having tastes of homemade booze, and then giving in to pleasure.

Blake Shelton can’t help but gush about girlfriend Gwen Stefani on his new album, Texoma Shore.
The 41-year-old country singer, who has been hot and heavy with Stefani since they began dating in November 2015, gave the L.A.M.B. designer a sweet shout-out in one of the album’s tracks called “Turnin’ Me On.”

Blake Shelton is giving Gwen Stefani a sweet shout-out on his new album.
With Texoma Shore set for release on Nov. 3, the country singer has officially unveiled the album's track list, featuring one song called "Turnin' Me On," which Shelton co-wrote with Jessi Alexander and Josh Osborne. The sultry track is about exactly what you'd think it'd be about, featuring one line that appears to be a direct reference to Stefani's iconic red pout.
"Knows how to set me on fire, she's always holdin' the match. And when my body's beside hers, there ain't no turnin' back," Shelton croons. "She's Revlon red in the blackest night, lighting up the room in the world just like she's turnin' me on."
Stefani, of course, has been a longtime brand ambassador for Revlon cosmetics -- and an even longer advocate for a bold red lip. (Subtle, Blake!)

Las Vegas—No genre embraces the American way of life with such unbridled patriotic fervor as country music, so paying tribute to the U.S. military seemed like a natural fit. But “Acm Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops” took what could have been a flag-waving, jingoistic exercise and turned it into a meaningful, often moving salute by not only honoring men and women in all branches of the armed services, but by including them as performers. And some of them threatened to steal the show from the professionals. Taped Monday (April 8), the night after the Acm Awards, and airing May 20 on CBS, the All-Star Salute featured top names such as Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert , Toby Keith, Hunter Hayes, Dierks Bentley, and more. Los Angeles—On his seventh studio album, "Riser," out today, 11-time Grammy nominee Dierks Bentley finds himself examining the circle of life as he deals with the death of his father followed by the joy of the birth of his third child and first son. Though the album has plenty of upbeat tracks, it's the deeper cuts, like current Top 10 single, "I Hold On," the dark "Bourbon In Kentucky," and "Here on Earth" that stick to your ribs. A 40-minute documentary, "Dierks Bentley: Riser" follows the country star's journey as he makes the album. Bentley screened the doc here Feb. 20 and HitFix spent some time with him afterward. Cmt produced a 30-minute special that features much of the documentary's footage, while a deal for the full documentary to bring it to a TV outlet, such as Netflix or Hulu is being worked on. Bentley filmed an episode of Cmt's "Crossroads" with OneRepublic,...

For the inconceivable fourth-straight year, married couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert took home their respective Vocalist of the Year awards at the Cma Awards. Keep reading to find out who else took home an award!
Hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley started country music's biggest awards show with an opening that the nation will be buzzing about in the morning.
The two first addressed feuds in country music by delivering a duet of "Why Can't We Be Friends?" and then decided to lightheartedly start their own outrageous feuds (e.g., Brad Paisley vs. Kenny Rogers; Darius Rucker vs. Julianne Hough).
The well-orchestrated comedy skit continued with a satire of the rocky launch of Obamacare via a spin on George Strait's "Amarillo By Morning" ("Obamacare by morning, over six people served"), and an applause for Taylor Swift for keeping her clothes on unlike her female pop music counterparts.

Miley Cyrus turns 18 today, and to celebrate, PopWatch looked back at the EW archives to chart her career — both the highs and the controversies (remember when they were just about the prices scalpers were charging for concert tickets?).
April 2006: EW reviewed the new Disney series Hannah Montana, giving it a C+. “Turns out Saved by the Bell was subtle! Father-daughter team Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus star as a dad and daughter, but stop those achy-breaky hearts midflutter – Hannah Montana is Miley’s show,” Gillian Flynn wrote.

Shortly after news that Disney pulled out Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" from nominations list of 2010 Grammy Awards was covered by media, one of the song's writers Jessi Alexander spoke what she has in mind concerning the withdrawal. "To be honest, it's devastating," she told Entertainment Weekly.
"I spent one night on a high. And then the following morning was a new low, when I was told it was gonna be pulled by Disney. .... It sucks. I've got flowers and champagne showing up and people constantly congratulating me, and now I don't know how to respond," she stated. "To have Naras [National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences] grant me a nomination and then take it away has been tough. And humiliating, really. It makes it look like I tried to submit it, or I'm covering up."
"The Climb" was considered illegible to be granted a nomination for Best Song Written for a Soundtrack because the song...

Miley Cyrus's song The Climb has been removed from the list of Grammy nominations. The 17-year-old's hit single was featured heavily in her movie Hannah Montana: The Movie and was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe. The track recently received a Grammy nomination for Best Song Written For A Soundtrack but it was then later removed from the list. The entry with the next highest number of votes was All Is Love by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and that will now receive the nomination. Sources close to Cyrus say the swap was not a surprise as the song was put in to the category as a mistake. Cyrus was not personally...

Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" is no longer on the run for Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media at 2010 Grammy Awards. Weeks after being announced to receive the nod, the song is revealed to be disqualified from the competition due to the fact that it was not specifically penned for "Hannah Montana: The Movie".
While the news came as a surprise for many, a source inside Cyrus camp insisted that the pulling out of "The Climb" was hardly a shock. In fact, the source as reported by People magazine claimed that the song written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe was submitted in the category by mistake. When the error was discovered, the song was withdrawn a day following the December 2 nominations announcement.

A song performed by one of the world's top tween pop singers gets a Grammy nomination - only to be taken out of the running days later. No, it's not a plotline for an episode of Hannah Montana, it's what has really happened to a song performed by her real-life counterpart, Miley Cyrus. The 17-year-old singer's single "The Climb," featured heavily in Hannah Montana: The Movie and written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, is no longer up for Grammy consideration for best song written for a soundtrack. That means that the song's nomination will go to the entry with...
