Ronald Barker was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. Parents Ronald Scannel
and Pam Zieman divorced when he was four years old. Father's family
history includes an Irish Catholic who came to the United States during
the Civil War and fought for Union Army. Mother's family history
reveals German Jews who immigrated to the United States at turn the
century. After his parents divorce, his mother joined the United States
Air Force in 1972. He moved repeatedly as a child from Michigan in 1972
to Plattsburg Air Force Base New York in 1977, Chanute Air Force Base
Illinois in 1981, March Air Force Base, California in 1986. His mother
remarried in 1975, his step-father is Chris Barker.
Ronald joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 in 1986 and
served until 1990. He was in the California Air National Guard from
1991-1996. He started acting in high school - his first play was Guys
and Dolls and first breakout role the AJ Caloway Show UPN.
