London, July 28: Miley Cyrus has confessed that her long brown locks were completely fake.
When Harper's Bazaar's executive editor Laura Brown, took out an editorial from inside the singer's 2010 mag cover on the latest episode of 'The Look', the 'We Can't Stop' hit maker revealed that she had 350 extensions in her hair at the time, the Sun reported.

She’s always up for some girl talk, and Miley Cyrus stopped by Harper’s Bazaar’s “The Look to discuss her crazy life with executive editor Laura Brown.
The “Party in the USA” singer was in great spirits as she chatted about how she decided to take such a drastic direction with her hair a few months back.
“I was in Philadelphia working and I met Chris McMillan at my hotel room. I had him bleach my hair, cut it, and then I got on the train that night and somebody recognized me right away…”
As for her style evolution, Cyrus explained, “It’s kinda just been this organic thing. As I take more control of my life, people are following that and I think people are inspired to see someone young and taking control of what they know that they like…”...

Miley Cyrus hasn't had the best time in Germany, where she's been promoting her single "We Can't Stop." The 20-year-old got food poisoning and was forced to cancel an appearance, but wasn't able to get out of her press obligations.
"Sorry 2 Bild and all my fans for not being able to make it today! Something's are outta my control. I'm really sick thanks for understanding," Cyrus tweeted on Thursday before adding, "And I apologize in advance to any reporters I may puke on or get sick. #norestforthewicked."
Still, a little food poisoning didn't keep Cyrus from being on her game when she sat down for an interview with Promiflash, and proved that she's mastered the art of deadpan when she joked:
"I was thinking about maybe getting 'Chris Brown' across this cheek," she said, pointing to the left side of her face. "It would be really good for my career.

Fresh from a trip to Tokyo, Sofia Vergara paid a visit to Laura Brown’s web series “The Look” from Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
The “Modern Family” starlet met up with Harper’s executive editor at the famous Serendipity 3 eatery in New York City where they enjoyed frozen hot chocolates and the world’s most expensive ice cream Sunday (with a $1000 price tag).
During the course of the conversation, Laura asked, “Do people expect you to be sexy all the time, and is that exhausting?”
Sofia replied, “You know sometimes I see a little bit of disappointment because they see me as a little skinnier than on TV. I try [to look sexy] and I make my accent thicker but I still see the disappointment on their faces.”...

Nicole Kidman was having a pretty great night.
Meryl won for "Adaptation" and Nicole won for "The Hours"
Hanging' out on all sorts of red carpets with Meryl Streep usually helps in that regard. If you can't share scenes with her at least have her on your team by way of a shared movie.
Our 10th Anniversary Celebration of The Hours
Nicole Kidman remembers her Oscar win (Exclusive Interview!) Breakfast with... Clarissa, Virginia and Laura Brown Epic Discussion Part 1: Ravenous Kisses, Fidgety Hands Epic Discussion Part 2: Score, Performance, Re-Casting
We hope you enjoyed this look back. I imagine The Film Experience would be more popular if it stuck to current movie news all the time like every other site but I cannot live without my retro celebrations. I'm greedy. I need films from all eras in my movie diet.
This next part is for Hours and Film Experience Obsessives only.

Today is the 10th anniversary of the release of The Hours. That's just another reason to feel merry today and remember that gratitude isn't just for Thanksgiving. Especially not when it comes to the gift of cinema. We celebrate the movies all year long but we get extra weepy about the greatness of the artform right about now when drowning in awards and top ten lists .
Christmas 2002 brought three very special actresses together
Not that The Hours is an especially festive or celebratory movie but each Christmas does seem to bring us a super-depressing Best Picture Event (this year's iteration: Les Misérables). The Hours tracks three parallel women Virginia Woolf (Oscar winning Nicole Kidman), Laura Brown (Oscar nominee Julianne Moore) and Clarissa Vaughan (Meryl Streep) who are connected by difficult personalities, anxious spirits ("I feel as if I'm unravelling"), and Woolf's masterpiece "Mrs Dalloway" which she is writing and Laura...

Sometimes Taylor Swift makes it all a little too easy. For her cover story in the Dec./Jan. 2013 issue of Harper's Bazaar, Taylor ditched her typical girly dresses in favor of a whole bunch of pants. Polka-dotted pants, striped pants, white pants -- so many pants. But she wasn't wearing the pants because they look phenomenal on her leggy 5' 11" frame. She was wearing them because they're a metaphor.
Taylor's love for dresses (the sparklier the better) is well-documented, and she admits that she now owns hundreds of them. "Because I'm in a predicament where I can't wear a dress twice or else it's pointed out in magazines, so unfortunately I have to shop for dresses all the time."
She pretty much hates pants and says she only wears jeans in the winter for "survival reasons." But she was down to pose in them for Harper's as a symbol of her maturity.

We want to be Kiernan Shipka when we grow up. Is that possible? Well, it certainly is possible to dream of one day becoming as mature, articulate and fashion-savvy as the 12-year-old Mad Men star. Her closet is the stuff of legends, and we are totally envious of Harper’s Bazaar editor Laura Brown, who stopped by the actress’ home for the above edition of the YouTube series “The Look” on the Hello Style channel. We can’t list all the things we love about this video, but here are some highlights:
1. She loves the red Little Mark shirt she’s wearing, especially with a cardigan, “because it’s kind of a printed, Peter Pan kind of vibe.”
2. She got to keep Sally Draper’s “back-up go-go boots” from this past season of Mad Men.
3. She loves these Converse high-tops. (But her worry that they got dirty kind of misses the point of Converse,...

We're devoted fans of "Mad Men," but we have a huge confession to make: despite Don's (external) dreaminess, our favorite character is probably Sally Draper, who's precociously played by 12-year-old Kiernan Shipka.
Our realities merged, then, when Shipka sat down recently with Bazaar editor Laura Brown for a video on Harper's Bazaar's new Hello Style YouTube channel, in her awesome cap toe Chanel boots and a Little Marc blouse to chat about everything from Jimmy Fallon to Instagram. (When we were her age, we were also wearing some fancy couture-y brands, like Gap Kids and Wet Seal.)
It gets cooler. Not only does Shipka rock a Chloe Kids cape on set, but she sews some of her own clothes. Laura Brown is impressed. Seriously, this girl is only 12?
Watch below to find out why every girl needs a pair of back-up go-go boots.
