I recently had the chance to interview Adam Green (Hatchet franchise and Frozen) for his recent film Chillerama. You can check out my review Here and read the interview below: Can you give me a little insight into what went into coming up with the concept for Chillerama?
The concept really came about way back when Adam Rinkin and Tom Sullivan were working on Detroit Rock City some 12 or 13 years ago. They were talking about doing some sort of anthology that it was kind of like the live action version of “Famous Monsters”. But then everyone got busy with other stuff until about 2 or 3 years ago. They approached me and Joe Wince with the idea. Working in this genre, there’s someone every 5 minutes contacting you saying they want to make an anthology, but what was really interesting about this one is that each segment was going to be in a different time period.

"Twilight" fans gearing up for the franchise's last two films already have the cast and crew's word that the much-discussed wedding and birth scenes will be everything they've imagined since reading Stephenie Meyer's "Breaking Dawn." But what about porting the book's passionate sex scene from page to screen?
When MTV News caught up with director Bill Condon at Comic-Con, he was happy to report that shooting in Brazil was a breeze. "It was kind of fun!" he told us. Apparently Stewart and Pattinson's electric onscreen chemistry was enough to diffuse any and all off-screen awkwardness among cast and crew.

Electric power isn't the only possible future for the auto industry--there's also hydrogen. This past April, we spoke with a startup that had a grand plan for an East Coast hydrogen highway. That plan is now one step closer to reality with this week's news that SunHydro has built its first hydrogen fueling station.
The station, located in the parking lot of Proton Energy Systems (SunHydro's partner) in Wallingford, Connecticut, marks the first of nine planned stations that will allow drivers to go from Maine to Florida on hydrogen fuel. SunHydro's Wallingford station is powered by Proton Energy Systems' enhanced proton exchange membrane (Pem) technology, which generates hydrogen using just on-site solar panels and water. The only emission from the process is water vapor.
Initially, SunHydro expects most of its customers to come from Hartford, Connecticut's public transit system, which features four hydrogen-powered buses. The buses currently rely on trucked-in hydrogen.

We have new clips in standard and high definition for Samuel Goldwyn Films' Knucklehead comedy/drama which opens on October 22nd in limited areas. Michael W. Watkins directs from the writing by Bear Aderhold, Tom Sullivan and Adam Rifkin. The film is rated PG-13 and produced by Michael Pavone. The story follows con artist Eddie Sullivan (Mark Feuerstein), who, after incurring a large debt with a local bookie (Dennis Farina), creates a get-rich-quick scheme by enlisting a sweet gentle giant named Walter (Paul “The Big Show” Wight) as his unwitting accomplice. Walter’s orphanage—the only home he’s ever known—also needs funds desperately. Upon overhearing Walter’s predicament, Eddie convinces the no-nonsense head nun, Sister Francesca (Wendie Malick), that Walter can win the money as a fighter and pay off the church’s debts...

Betty White, known for her wry wit and naughty turn of phrase, will be using her skills for the written word.
America's favorite senior citizen (sorry Cloris Leachman!) has signed a two-book deal with G.P. Putnam's Sons, the publisher announced Wednesday (Aug. 18) after winning the publishing rights in a "highly competitive auction."
"Much as I love what I do for a living in show business, I love writing even more -- so I am thrilled to be working on not only one new book but two of them," says White.
"Listen Up!" is the first title and will take a look back at her decades-long career, including the recent revival of her popularity that includes her "Saturday Night Live" guest stint. She also promises to share her thoughts on getting older, being a celebrity, TV, and even love and sex. Oh boy, Betty White sex talk. We can't wait...

Despite her drama in court, Lindsay Lohan still thinks that she’s going to get out of jail free. The 24-year-old actress, who is currently sobering up, believes she’s going to avoid being behind bars.
“She thinks something will happen and she won’t have to go,” one source told Us Weekly a few days before Lohan entered rehab.
Another said that she’s still in “total denial” about her sentence, which is set to begin on July 20th.

Fuel cell technology is the perpetual underdog to electric vehicle tech--almost every major automaker has an Ev planned for the next few years, but fuel cell vehicles are largely being kept on the back burner just in case public interest suddenly heats up. SunHydro is betting that it will. The gutsy startup is building the first privately funded network of hydrogen fueling stations, starting with a nearly $2 million station in Wallingford, Connecticut this summer. SunHydro plans to capture excess hydrogen for use at the station from nearby Proton Energy Systems.
The station will largely be used by the city of Hartford, which runs a few fuel cell-powered buses. "Initially there won't be a line down the street," explained Tom Sullivan, CEO of SunHydro. "The point is to get more exposure for hydrogen, and say that it's practical."
But is it practical? Both EVs and fuel cell vehicles can be powered...

NEW YORK -- Summit Entertainment has nabbed Bear Aderhold and Tom Sullivan's broadly comic spec script Mental and has committed Mandalay Pictures to produce the feature.
Mental follows an orderly who is promised part of a $3 million inheritance from a mentally disturbed patient in his care -- but only if they can break out of an asylum and get to court to collect the loot. On the way from the Pasadena institution to Santa Monica, the seemingly stable patient begins to reveal personality disorders that make for a disastrous road trip.
Summitt president of production Erik Feig and vp production Jean Song are overseeing the project for the studio.
"We were excited to read (the) terrific comic two-hander and to find a second picture to make with our friends at Summit," Mandalay president Cathy Schulman said. Her company also is producing the Summit release Get Some. Mandalay executive vp David Zelon is on location in Orlando overseeing the shoot.

Bear Aderhold & Tom Sullivan have been hired to pen "Fear Less". The comedy writers behind the sequel to Eddie Griffin's "Undercover Brother" and the upcoming Lionsgate film "Delta Farce" will pen a script centered on a fearful man who after a freak accident can no longer experience fear.
