Hey, "The Resident" fans. Unfortunately, we have some very bad news for you guys tonight. It turns out that the 5th episode of your favorite show has indeed been delayed this week. In fact, the whole, usual primetime line up for Fox has been delayed. We'll get into the reason why in a second. But first, we want to tell you that the new episode 5 is now scheduled to air next Tuesday night, October 29, 2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on Fox of course. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show calendars. Now, the big reason why Fox isn't airing the new 5th episode of "The Resident" tonight is because they have devoted their entire primetime schedule to covering Game 1 of the Major League Baseball World Series. Our annual cinematic jamboree, the Film Bitch Awards, continue with the categories of best actors and actresses in limited roles. This category is reserved for the kind of performances given in one or two scenes where'd you'd be happy to wander outside the camera's purview just to spend more time with them. Or, more accurately, since the characters aren't always pleasant, performances so strong that you wish you could follow them into another scene or five to watch the actor dig in yet deeper.
We're talking about performances like Brian Tyree Henry's in If Beale Street Could Talk, who crystallizes the film's conceits about the systematic oppression of black men as his innocent ex-con monologues through the film's most moving sequence. His eyes drop us into the abyss of his prison memories where his words won't take us. We're talking about performances like Bradley Whitford's glib lawyer,...

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga could be the first duo from the same film to win Best Actor and Best Actress Oscars in 21 years, but there’s an even more elite group “A Star Is Born” could join. If they and their co-star, Best Supporting Actor contender Sam Elliott, prevail, “A Star Is Born” would only be the third film to win three acting Oscars.
The remake would join “A Streetcar Named Desire” (1951) and “Network” (1976) in going 3-for-4. The former won Best Actress for Vivien Leigh and supporting statuettes for Kim Hunter and Karl Malden, while leading man Marlon Brando fell to Humphrey Bogart (“The African Queen”). “Network” won a posthumous Best Actor trophy for Peter Finch, Best Actress for Faye Dunaway and Best Supporting Actress for Beatrice Straight. Lifetime has pulled the plug on The Client List. There won't be a third season of the Jennifer Love Hewitt drama.
The Client List began as a Lifetime movie and then became a TV series. It follows a housewife and mom (Hewitt) who's abandoned by her husband. To support her family, she starts working at a spa that turns out to offer more than just massages. Others in the cast include Loretta Devine, Colin Egglesfield, Rebecca Field, Naturi Naughton, Alicia Lagano, Kathleen York, Brian Hallisay, and Cybill Shepherd.
Season one averaged 2.51 million viewers and that led to a second season renewal. Those 15 episodes drew 2.05 million.
The third season renewal was supposedly being held up because Lifetime and the producers were trying to figure out how to handle Hewitt’s real-life pregnancy. Hewitt, who is also an executive producer, wanted the...

October Road is a 2007 show that failed to get a chance. The ABC series resonated with viewers quickly and quite frankly, brought the typical network storyline into a whole new direction and path. Starring How to Make it in America's Bryan Greenberg (another that didn't get the chance to reach its full potential), October Road was a family friendly drama that ran 19 episodes and left fans wanting more.

After an all-too-brief two season run on ABC, the network cancelled October Road. Viewers were left hanging with lots of unanswered questions. Will Hannah end up with "Big Cat" or Nick? Who is young Sam's father?
October Road follows Nick Garrett (Bryan Greenberg), an acclaimed writer who hits it big after writing a novel about his small town. When he develops writers block, he returns to face the family and friends he'd left behind. The ABC show also stars Laura Prepon, Brad William Henke, Geoff Stults, Tom Berenger, Jay Paulson, Evan Jones, Warren Christie, Slade Pearce, Odette Yustman, Rebecca Field, Jonathan Murphy, Lindy Booth, Elizabeth Bogush, and Penny Johnson.
Immediately after hearing of the show's cancellation, the show's creators -- Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg -- sat down and wrote a brief ending for Road. Appelbaum said, "It's sort of like therapy for us, but the most important...

Good news for two recurring performers likely spells great news for fans of ABC's October Road.
Actors Lindy Booth (as Pizza Girl) and Rebecca Field (as Janet the Planet) have recently been promoted from recurring guests to regular castmembers -- for the next season of Road. Though the drama series has not officially been renewed for another season, this backstage move strongly indicates that ABC will renew Road.
Had they remained recurring guests, Field and Booth would have been free to take on other roles and test for new show pilots. This bump in status, prior to the end of October Road's first season on Thursday night, keeps the actors locked in for next season when their characters' storylines would presumably be expanded.
By the way, Media Village has posted a petition for fans to sign. You can find it here. Stay tuned!
