Earlier this year we told you about Hidden Horror, a new book that celebrates 101 of the most overlooked and underrated films in the history of horror cinema. The book is currently available through Amazon, as well as select brick and mortar retailers, and it's proven to be quite the success in the horror community, introducing many fans to gems that they've either never heard of, or were simply never urged to seek out.
As a celebration of the success of the book, a special signing event is being held this Saturday at Burbank, California's horror shop Dark Delicacies, with several of the authors stopping by to sign copies and discuss the book. On hand will be Fearnet's editor-in-chief Lawrence Raffel, who wrote an essay in Hidden Horror on 1979's Fascination, as well as fellow contributors Nate Yapp, Paul Hough, Michael Klug and Molly Celaschi.

Hyb's Molly Celaschi was supposed to attend the Red Carpet at the 2009 Spike's Guys Choice Awards, but I never received her coverage. So for old school Hyb followers lets officially make this the goodbye and end of the Molly era on Hyb... For the people who have no idea what I'm talking about, and are just here for the new Halloween II trailer, you can check it out below. I have to say this trailer finally made me want to see Rob Zombie's Halloween II, and it may be the first and only good PR that has been released for the film...Or I'm just drunk! Zombie's sequel to his remake of John Carpenter's original film, Halloween, hits theaters on August 28, 2009.

Unlike the Spike TV Scream Awards the 2009 "Guys Choice" Awards really have nothing to do with horror, but that is not stopping Horror Yearbook from invading their red carpet. Our own Molly Celaschi (I will be sitting this one out) will attempt to top our famous 2008 crayon drawing stunt with a bigger and more outlandish red carpet event. So visit us next week to see what happens when Hyb and stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Quentin Tarantino collide. Other presenters and Attendees include: Russell Brand, Jason Statham, Dwyane Wade, Billy Crudup, Triumph The Insult Comic Dog, Malin Akerman, Michael Irvin, Jesse James, Mila Kunis, Brock Lesnar, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Rainn Wilson and many more.
