- Barry M. Greenberg is a graduate of Antioch University and of the Defense Information School. He served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force from 1969-1975, and was stationed at Otis Air Force Base, MA and Howard and Albrook Air Force Bases, Canal Zone. Following that duty, he participated in U.S./Panama treaty issues, serving as an advisor to the White House and Congress on the issue, as well as a spokesperson from 1973 until treaty ratification in 1978.
He founded Celebrity Connection over 33 years ago. The company, originally conceived as a clearinghouse for celebrity participation in charity, is today involved in celebrity coordination for public relations firms, advertising agencies, theater productions and television networks, as well as commercial endorsements for several corporations.
Celebrity Connection has been responsible for client-celebrity relationships involving Benedict Cumberbatch, Matt Smith, David Tennant, Karl Urban, Richard Gere, William Shatner, Meryl Streep, Emily Watson, Michael J. Fox, Edward Asner, Alan Thicke, and Elizabeth Taylor, in addition to hundreds of other celebrated individuals. He has been Talent Producer on 11 straight TV Land Awards. Advertising agencies, public relations firms, television networks, not-for-profit organizations and others both large and small have profited from Barry Greenberg's long-established ties to the entertainment industry. Celebrity Connection has forged long lasting working relationships with MTV Networks' TV Land and Nick at Nite, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the top PR firms and advertising agencies in the nation.
When he's not hanging out with celebrities, Greenberg has many civic and philanthropic commitments. Barry served as a civilian advisor to the U.S. Air Force (USAF), is an emeritus member of the Air Force Advisory Board (SAF/PA), chaired the Entertainment Industry Committee for the USAF's 50th Anniversary and served on the Department of Defense's 50th Anniversary of World War II Committee (Los Angeles).
