For years we have been tuning in to see if amateur singers can turn into superstars overnight with the help of some very famous coaches, including the most recent panel of Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson.

Ecological horror is a genre that is not often tapped for terror these days, though it was – at one time – a staple of the horror genre, with films like Frogs, The Bees, Day of the Triffids, Them! and a myriad of spider-based movies asking “what if?” questions that captured the imagination of audiences for years.
Apparently based on true unsolved outbreaks of wildlife mutations (Loosely based), Strange Nature marks the directorial debut of fx maestro James Ojala and tells the story of Kim (Lisa Sheridan) and her son Brody who move back in with Kim;s estranged hermit father in the backwoods of a small town and find themselves in the middle of a horrendous phenomenon where...

Based on iTunes rankings and TVLine’s post-Top 11 poll, Tuesday’s episode of The Voice should have found JHud’s green teen being redubbed Bye’Ann Jones. But if the Top 12 Results Show taught us — well, me — anything, it’s that the iTunes/poll combo is hardly a reliable predictor of eliminations. So, was the mysterious fan base that doesn’t seem to download Shi’Ann’s songs or vote for her in polls again energized enough to help her avoid the Bottom Two, never mind the axe?

Chris Blue, I put my “Money on You” to take home the title. I also spent my money on him, downloading his insanely catchy original single off iTunes. But when the dust settled on Season 12 of The Voice, when we stopped commenting on how mumble-mouthed a singer Hunter Plake is, groaning before every Mark Isaiah performance, doing shots anytime it was mentioned that Quizz Swanigan is the youngest competitor ever, hoping that Lilli Passero would live up to her Blind Auditions potential, and wondering if it was possible for Carson Daly to appear less engaged and more disingenuous, did Team Alicia’s master showman win?...

This recap of The Voice’s Top 10 results show practically wrote itself — before the episode had even begun. After Monday’s performances, I was so sure that Mark Isaiah and Lilli Passero were toast that I was already thinking of how to analyze their downfalls. (For him, youthful inexperience from which not even his poreless teen-idol complexion could distract forever; for her, inconsistent performances and a few song selections that smacked of sabotage.) But was I right to count them out?

Has Mark Isaiah become the Sanjaya Malakar of The Voice? Going into Monday’s performances by Season 12’s Top 10, it certainly seemed so. Though more than half of you who voted in our elimination poll last week would have sent the Austin Mahone wannabe packing, he remained in the contest, the recipient of a puzzling instant save. Did he finally hit upon a song that would allow him to win something more than Adam Levine’s admiration and fourth place in a high school talent show? Did Vanessa Ferguson Riri-cover from her “Diamonds” misstep? Did Chris Blue manage to top...

Mark Isaiah showed up at The Voice’s Top 11 results show with a big ol’ target on his back. Not only had he been in the bottom two the previous week, but according to our poll then (and our newer one last night), you enjoy his singing about as much as you would mine — in other words, not at all. But was Tuesday night his final performance?

Get it together, Adam Levine. Get. It. Together. Based on the poll that followed last Tuesday’s recap of The Voice’s Top 12 results show, you really, really dislike Mark Isaiah. But, reading between the votes, isn’t it actually the teen’s coach that we’re most eager to eliminate? If the kid couldn’t get together a passable rendition of Drake’s “One Dance,” shouldn’t Adam have steered him in another direction? While we’re on the subject of the Maroon 5 frontman, his selection of Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” for Lilli Passero...

Viewers tuning in to the Top 12 results show for The Voice season 12 witnessed a beautiful moment that payed tribute to one of their own.
Following the death of Voice alum Christina Grimmie -- she was shot and killed during a post-concert meet and greet in June 2016 -- a foundation has been set up in her name that aims to support gun violence and breast cancer victims. Alongside that, Christina's coach, Adam Levine, and his current team -- Jesse Larson, Lilli Passero and Mark Isaiah -- took to the stage to perform the classic Beatles song "Hey Jude" in honor of her.

Adam Levine delivered a powerful tribute to late singer Christina Grimmie on Tuesday's episode of The Voice.
The coach got emotional as he remembered the 22-year-old artist and Voice alum, who was fatally shot last June after a concert in Orlando, Florida.
“God, I loved her so much. I am talking to you guys specifically, I’m talking to everybody," Levine told Grimmie's parents, Albert and Tina, and her brother, Mark, who were at the front of audience.
"I miss her. It's unfair she is not here," he continued. "We're going to sing a little song tonight, and I'm going to be singing every word to her, in her honor. Thank you guys for being here. Christina, we love you."

Going into The Voice’s Top 12 results show Tuesday, Vanessa Ferguson, Brennley Brown, Chris Blue, Aliyah Moulden and Lauren Duski had to be feeling pretty confident, based on their standout performances Monday. And, given your outpouring of support for Troy Ramey — roll your eyes all you want, I still don’t get it — he probably wasn’t sweating too much, either. That left Stephanie Rice, TSoul and Mark Isaiah — all of whom, like Troy, had to be saved by their coaches during the Live Playoffs — looking especially vulnerable.

Going into The Voice’s Top 12 performance night — with Shania Twain trying on for size a fifth chair — Team Alicia’s Chris Blue looked — and, more importantly, sounded — like a lock to win Season 12. (I can’t be the only one still playing his version of Riri’s “Love On the Brain” on a loop, right? If it was vinyl, I’d have worn out three needles on it by now.) Was the retro-soul showman able to bring down the house once again Monday? Or did his star fade just enough for him to be outshone by a less flashy singer?...

Something tells me that I wasn’t the only one tuning in to Tuesday’s Knockout Rounds for The Voice with a certain amount of trepidation — and by “something,” I mean, of course, the comments that followed Monday’s recap. So many of the coaches’ decisions on Night 1 of the Knockouts defied logic that I — and you, too, it seemed — wanted to recommend that they all get their hearing checked. Alicia Keys dropping Lilli Passero in favor of Ashley Levin? Adam Levine keeping Josh West over Johnny Hayes? Quizz Swanigan getting stolen but not Felicia Temple? My head still hurts...

Starting its Season 12 Knockout Rounds Monday, The Voice threw a curveball at its contestants, allowing the pairs who’d be competing with one another to keep their spots to watch each other rehearse. Mind you, I’m not sure how big a curveball that really was since they’d all certainly gotten to see what their opponent-of-the-week was up to/capable of during the Battle Rounds. And could it possibly have been any more awkward than sitting on stage and idly observing as your rival sang their ass off in hopes of sending you packing? Anyway, the twist did manage to rattle a coupla vocalists.

(I mean, come on — she’s a goddess.) Keep reading and find out the answer (as if you don’t already know!), then we’ll play favorites in the comments.

Going into the final Blind Auditions of The Voice Season 12 on Tuesday, Alicia Keys — with a team that includes Felicia Temple, Lilli Passero, Anatalia Villaranda and the competition’s youngest singer, Quizz Swanigan — was looking like she might be the one to beat this time around. Did any of the vocalists recruited in this last hour tip the scales (and arpeggios) in favor of Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani or Adam Levine? Or was the show too busy letting mentors John Legend and Celine Dion pimp Beauty and the Beast to focus on any real contenders? Read on for my reviews of the performances,...

Alicia Keys may not have claimed victory on The Voice last season, but this time around the celebrated songstress is in it to win it, proving during Tuesday's second round of blind auditions that she's willing to go the extra mile to get some stellar talent on her team.
During the last blind audition of the night, 26-year-old actress, singer and waitress Lilli Passero took the stage with a stunning rendition of Carla Thomas' 1961 single "A Love of My Own," and the stirring performance got Keys to turn her chair, along with fellow coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
