- Elena Charbila has an established track record as a composer, producer and recording artist under her moniker "Kid Moxie." A blend of powerful beats, noir pop melodies, and haunting soundscapes make Kid Moxie's music both ethereal and engrossing. She has written original score and songs for several acclaimed TV shows and films including composing the music for MGM's iconic new ORION logo (2022). "I like to call my music 'cinematic pop'", she explains. That's hardly a surprise, coming from someone whose credits include penning songs for the iconic Cyberpunk 2077 video game, the XBOX game Forza Horizon, as well as creating the retro-futuristic soundtrack to the 2020 indie film "Not To Be Unpleasant But We Need To Have A Serious Talk" (Lakeshore Records) and the dystopic score of "On Xerxes Throne" (dir. Evi Kalogiropoulou, Cannes 2022). CNN recently mentioned Kid Moxie as a female composer worthy of Oscar attention. Her musical collaborations are diverse and unexpected. From producing and singing with the legendary Depeche Mode on their most recent album, to joining forces with David Lynch's composer Angelo Badalamenti, with whom she created a new version of "Mysteries of Love," her career path is unique and her sound is identifiable. Some of her most recent work includes composing for limited TV series "Milky Way" (directed by Cannes Award winning director Vasilis Kekatos), creating songs for Netflix hit TV show "Maestro In Blue" and releasing her neon-noir EP "Lust" with iconic label Italians Do It Better, founded by acclaimed producer/ composer Johnny Jewel (Drive, Twin Peaks, Lost River).
Entertainment Weekly hailed her as a "cinematic pop star", VICE called her music "eerie, celestial, odd and exquisite", while US VOGUE praised her sound as "retro-futuristic goodness" .- IMDb Mini Biography By: G.C

- When I first moved to L.A., I noticed a bottle of Moxie Cola in the garbage, and the logo was so interesting to me. I loved the 'X' especially. I was looking for a band name at the time, and I was like, 'I need to do something that has Moxie in it because it just sounds powerful and badass, and genderless.' I wanted a name that was genderless, feeling like I was experimenting a lot. I was like, 'Kid - Kid Moxie,' it all came together. I didn't mind people thinking I'm a dude from the name.
- I don't really feel part of any music scene, to be honest. I feel like I'm in my own little bubble, especially the last few years. I never really felt like I belonged in a collective as much. It was always feeling very individual. It was me, my laptop and the city. But that's where I felt more like myself, more productive and creative.
- I just figured, about 10 years ago or so, that I wanted to take control and play my own music. My own notes. Write my own scripts, and perform them the way I wanted to. That's when I started doing my solo stuff.
