Gina Gershon will play iconic fashion designer Donatella Versace in new Lifetime TV movie "House of Versace," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The telepic also stars Enrico Colantoni as Donatella's late brother Gianni Versace, Colm Feore as their older brother Santo, and Raquel Welch as their Aunt Lucia.
The original TV movie is scripted by Rama Stagner and directed by Sara Sugarman, and is based on the book "House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival" by Deborah Ball. It focuses on Donatella Versace as she struggles under the scrutiny of being head designer at her brother's company following his death. The film will tackle her battle with drug addiction and the fashion house's failing fortunes, her stint in rehab and subsequent renewed sense of purpose, which built the brand into the lucrative and respected empire it is today.
"House of Versace" premieres Saturday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.

Actor/artist Daniel Franzese is bringing the dead back to life for a new exhibition dedicated to his friend and Bully co-star Brad Renfro.
Franzese will launch his DepARTed showcase at the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery in Hollywood on Friday.

Opri filed a lawsuit last year, accusing the photographer of refusing to pay $620,000 (GBP310,000) in legal fees after she represented Birkhead in his battle for paternity of nm2192807 autoAnna Nicole Smith[/link]'s daughter, Dannielynn.
A few months later, Birkhead began legal proceedings against Opri after accusing her of defrauding him out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Birkhead has since offered Opri money to settle her outstanding legal bill, but she turned it down, according to his lawyer, Michael Trope.
He tells the New York's gossip column PageSix, "Larry made a generous offer to settle. It's not like he was trying to walk away...She made a counter offer, which we elected to decline."
Birkhead and Opri are scheduled to appear in court on 4 February.
