Both are co-owners of Salford City.
Ventureland’s John Battsek and Miles Coleman will produce the series. Executive Producers are Nicola Howson and David Gardner for Studio 99, Scott Melvin for Buzz 16 and Kerstin Emhoff for Ventureland. Sampson Collins, the Rts-winning director of Gazza, is directing the series.

Invaders From Mars is one of those films I didn’t see until after it was released on VHS. In fact, when I was growing up it was one of those movies that I would always pass by in the local video store until one day my friends and I finally rented it.
I was in my pre-teens before I finally saw this movie and it was before I even knew who director Tobe Hooper was. This was probably the second film of his that I saw at that point in my life. I know I had already seen Poltergeist, but I didn’t even see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre until I was 14 or 15.
Well, I recently revisited the film and this thing was crazier than I remembered! It was a very surreal and cool movie and I really dug the visual effects, especially for the time that the film was made.

The summer of 2015 could have been the summer of Judy Greer, with the long-time character actress snagging roles in massive tentpole features like “Jurassic World,” “Ant-Man,” the “Entourage” movie and “Tomorrowland,” but what stood out most about Greer’s turns in those blockbusters was just how little they did to capitalize on her talent or charms. In three of those films, Greer was cast as a mostly ancillary mother character, while “Entourage” didn’t even bother to give her role a name (she was just “Casting Director”).
Instead of offering the actress, a two-decade veteran of the industry who has worked in both film and television, a chance to make a well-earned splash on a giant scale, she was mostly pushed to the background. That was nothing new for Greer, but even as she’s struggled from a phenomenon described by Scott Meslow of The Week (which asked, “How did...
