Exclusive: E! has released details on its first of six original scripted romantic comedy movies. The network has begun production on Married By Mistake (working title), with Chloe Bennet, Blair Penner and Anthony Konechny set to lead the cast.
Married by Mistake follows Riley (Bennet) who, after learning that her dream job has fallen through, has a drunken night out with her best friend Nate… (Penner) only to find themselves the next morning in Las Vegas and married. With no job prospects on the horizon, Riley takes Nate up on his offer to move back to his hometown in Tennessee to help rescue his family’s business. Riley’s determination to make a name for herself in the company is complicated by the arrival of Nate’s ex-girlfriend and his attractive older brother. Will Riley and Nate be able to keep up the ruse, or will romances both new and old get in the way?...

Exclusive: Firefly Lane breakout Ali Skovbye has signed with ICM Partners for representation in all areas.
Skovbye received rave reviews for her portrayal of Young Tully, the 70s counterpart to Katherine Heigl’s Tully Hart in the hit Netflix series Firefly Lane. The series, based on Kristin Hannah’s bestselling book, was watched by 49 million people in its first 28 days following the February 3 launch.
Prior to her work on Firefly Lane, Skovbye was seen in the Fox feature Breakthrough, and was named a Star To Watch at the 2020 Whistler Film Festival for her role in the indie feature The Corruption of Divine Providence. Her television credits also include The Man in the High Castle, When Calls the Heart and You Me Her.
A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Skovbye continues to be repped by Brad Pence at Atlas Entertainment and Vickie Petronio at Play Management.

NEW YORK -- Reece Thompson has landed the title role in the Yari Film Group's dark comedy The Sophomore opposite Mischa Barton and Bruce Willis.
Thompson -- who can be seen today in Picturehouse's Rocket Science -- will play a bullied Catholic high school newspaper reporter who is persuaded to investigate the theft of SAT exams by the most popular student (Barton). But after he reveals that the school's president and top jock are responsible, a more sinister conspiracy emerges.
Willis will play the school's twisted principal, a Desert Storm veteran who can't let go of his glory days in Kuwait. Willis' daughter, Rumer, will play the sidekick to Barton's character.
First-time feature director Brett Simon is now filming Sophomore in New Jersey through mid-September.
Thompson was nominated for a Grand Jury Prize at January's Sundance Film Festival for his role in Science. He will appear in the upcoming indie drama Afterwards.
