Geoffrey Going was an actor, singer, writer, film and music producer. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), The American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA), and Actors Equity Association (AEA).
On June 15, 2012, Geoffrey debuted his character "Troy" on the Emmy winning soap, "The Young & The Restless" on CBS on Episode 1.9928. He was in the October 22nd, 2012 issue of "CBS Soaps in Depth" magazine. In this magazine he was photographed on set for the television show, "The Young & The Restless" as his character "Troy". During the years 2013 and 2014 Geoffrey continued on in his role of "Troy", where his last credits were from June 2014 on episodes 10462 and 10463.
Geoffrey received a 2013 "Scenie Award" for his portrayal of "Jean Valjean" in the stage production "Les Miserables".
In March and April 2012 he performed in the rock opera, "The Who's: Tommy" portraying the role "Captain Walker" to sold out performances at " The MET Theatre" in Los Angeles, CA. He was subsequently nominated for a 2012 "Broadway World Award" for his portrayal of "Captain Walker".
On July 14, 2012 Geoffrey performed in a celebrity benefit concert version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "CATS" at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The concert starred Fred Willard.
In April 2012 Geoffrey filmed a commercial based on the "ALLSTATE" Insurance "MAYHEM" commercials where he played the Mayhem man. This aired in Texas and Colorado in 2012.
In 2012/ 2011 /2010 Geoffrey worked on FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", CBS's "Mike & Molly", NBC's "Up All Night" and "The Cape", CBS's "The Young & The Restless", and "The Bold & The Beautiful".
In August 20011 Geoffrey performed at the Los Angeles historical Orpheum Theatre in a celebrity concert of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "CATS". June 2010 Geoffrey portrayed the classical composer "Felix Mendelssohn" in the new musical, "Mendelssohn! On Wings of a Song", which was a participant in the Los Angeles Opera's Ring Festival in 2010. In 2009 Geoffrey produced the film "Marie" and also was the film director and writer on the short film SCI-FI thriller "Code Level 9". In 2009 Geoffrey portrayed "Chris" in the stage production "Miss Saigon" in Los Angeles and continued to tour with his concert/one man show. After performing his solo show at The Canyon Club, Geoffrey portrayed "Jekyll" and "Hyde" in Frank Wildhorn's Broadway smash musical, "Jekyll and Hyde" as well as "Ladislao" in the World Premiere of the musical "Camila", which was a participant in Stephen Schwartz's, "Festival of New American Musicals" in Southern California. You can hear Geoffrey's version of "This is the Moment" on ITunes and other music sites. Geoffrey was chosen to perform for Broadway Legend Barbara Cook at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA.. Later Geoffrey toured to Beijing China where he performed in, "American Reflections: Broadway In Concert". Geoffrey has also been hired to perform on the New York, Los Angeles, London, and Canadian stages. His acting credits include work on film, television, stage, and commercials. Geoffrey studied voice,theatre, and dance privately and at UC Irvine and The Boston Conservatory. He sang in the pop, rock, Broadway, classical, and jazz styles. He sang in the Italian, french, German, and Spanish languages, and performed in musicals, operas, rock concerts, cruise lines, and private events, which include celebrity and high profile clients. He was a recording artist and had recorded solo work as well as musical theatre cast recordings. He was in the studio recording original songs for his first album before he tragically passed away. He continued producing, performing, and teaching voice privately in the Los Angeles area. Geoffrey also continues to produce music concerts at venues like the Key Club in Hollywood with prominent promoters. Geoffrey studied film, television, and music producing at UCLA Extension. He was assistant to Emmy Award winning producer Michael Gallant and the production coordinator for the educational series "Journeys Below The Line": "Lost","ER", and "24" presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation. Geoffrey's work can be seen on film, television, and commercials including an "ALLSTATE Insurance Mayhem Spoof"commercial, "March Madness" commercials for college basketball, the independent films "Life's A Pitch", "Fury Brothers", "Madly In Love", and commercials by GAP, NOKIA, and American Airlines. Geoffrey's talent has been showcased in performances of "Hair", "Somewhere In The Dark" (in development), "Esteban" (Off-Broadway and London productions),"West Side Story", "Suburbia", "The Lion In Winter", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "The Who's Tommy", "42nd Street", and numerous other stage productions and cruise lines.
