The woman who portrayed Daniel Bryan’s mistress on Raw is in fact an indie wrestler called Chelsea Green. She trained under Lance Storm in Calgary and has worked for Eccw and the Pwa as Jaida. Apparently she worked this weekend’s WWE live events too, according to a report at LordsOfPain.net.
The Raw storyline introduced her as the timid Megan Miller. Stephanie McMahon brought her out to reveal a secret about Daniel Bryan. The story goes that Miller was Bryan’s physical therapist, which was the precursor to a full blown affair. On receiving this news, Brie Bella was very upset. Believing her husband had indeed cheated, Brie decked Miller. That later resulted in her arrest for assault on a civilian.
This booking was all very questionable. The announcers, Brie, Stephanie and Miller all sold it a little too well. It was pretty much accepted that...

Reno, Nev. — The largest outdoor arts festival in North America is about to become bigger.
Federal land managers have issued Burning Man organizers a four-year special recreation permit that allows a peak population of 68,000 on the northern Nevada desert this year.
Last year, attendance at the offbeat art and music festival on the Black Rock Desert peaked at 56,000 – below the previous maximum allowable population of 60,900.
The festival will be held Aug. 26-Sept. 2.
Gene Seidlitz, manager of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management's Winnemucca District, said the agency is requiring organizers to comply with more than 60 conditions related to issues such as security, public safety, resource management and cleanup.
He said he's confident that sufficient requirements are in place to protect the starkly beautiful desert's environment and to ensure public safety.
"Our priorities in managing this permit continue to be the protection and conservation of natural and cultural resources, as...

The most valuable lesson we learned from last night's Girls Only competition on American Idol was that Gotye is no one's friend. The evening's competition consisted of a sudden-death a cappella performance, followed by the dreaded group round. In short, it was just like boys week, but slightly higher pitched. However, Ryan Seacrest warned that there would be "massive cuts," because there were more girls than guys.

Imagine the Supremes, the Go-Gos, TLC and Destiny's Child. Now imagine them in the Hunger Games arena. Yes, it was the dreaded group round on Wednesday's American Idol. The remaining 76 female contestants were shoehorned into 19 awkward quartets, each of which seemed to consist of three normal girls and one who acted crazier than Kathy Bates in Misery. Hide your hammers! Before all that drama, nearly 200 contestants were put through a brutal round of cuts. The show lost Megan Miller, the Miss Baton Rouge who auditioned on crutches, when she was cut after a solid but unspectacular performance. But perhaps the...

Tonight’s auditions come straight from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, home of alligators and tortoises and people who talk in a thick Cajun accent about how much they love Baton Rouge. It’s no New Orleans, but it will have to do. The show’s intro is set to Passion Pit’s “Take a Walk,” a joyous-sounding song that, if you listen at all to the lyrics, is about dirt-poor immigrants struggling and failing to get ahead in today’s economy. Let’s gooooo! We begin right at the top of the food chain, with Miss Greater Baton Rouge Megan Miller, who was in a car accident three days ago, is supposed to be in the hospital, and is covered in scrapes and scabs that are straight-up disgusting to look at. She does “Something Got a Hold of Me,” better known as “The Song That Provides the Hook for ‘Levels’ and ‘Good Feeling,...

We're still in the South for the next round of American Idol auditions, this time in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Will we find any big stars tonight? Will Mariah and Nicki get in another fight? Can I have some of that funnel cake they just showed in the opening clips? All of these questions will be answered in due time (save for the funnel cake one - I'm out of luck on that one), but for now, let's get started. First to audition tonight is current Miss Louisiana title holder Megan Miller, who I can relate to as we're both in a leg cast at the moment. She hobbles in on her crutches and explains that she wants to concentrate on her music and that she checked herself out of hospital despite needing surgery for an infection in order to make the audition. Well, here's hoping she's good. The 22-year-old sings...

Mariah Carey cried last night on American Idol, but it wasn't because of Nicki Minaj rolling her eyes extra hard at her. No, Mariah was crying because Burnell Taylor's rendition of "I'm Here," from The Color Purple, drove her to tears. The timbre and tenor of his voice also made Keith Urban momentarily forget he was on camera, close his eyes and start swaying. When the last note drifted lazily from Burnell's mouth, Randy Jackson, Keith and even diva Mariah were on their feet clapping. (There's a slight possibility that...

I interrupt American Idol's streak of fabulous female singers for a special bulletin: A young troubadour named Paul Jolley just became the most valuable singer in the competition thanks to his eerie sweetness and topaz complexion. He has a fine voice too, but that's deeply unimportant right now.
Here's what we should be thinking about: His name is Jolley, which is how my loins feel right now. 2) He sang Rascal Flatts, which means AfterElton readership has to rescue this child. 3) He auditioned while dressed in a turquoise shirt and white pants, as if he were Dinah Shore shopping at Pacific Sunwear. He's like Doris Day in those togs. Suzanne Pleshette on vacay. Elizabeth Montgomery eleganza. 4) You can tell by his constant gesturing and fluttery eyelashes that he really loves... God. Yes. He is one of those.
Did I mention that he looks like 22-year-old Anthony Perkins in Friendly Persuasion?...

The season 12 auditions of ‘American Idol’ continued in Baton Rouge with more tone-deaf auditions, soaring soon-to-be stars and, of course, drama between the judges. Let’s hear it for the South, ya’ll!
As we head into the home stretch of the auditions for season 12 of American Idol, Ryan Seacrest and the gang ventured to see if the South had soul. There were some powerful voices, some downright strange people and obviously more Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey drama. Will the battle of the the big-haired divas ever end? Man, I hope not.
Who Was Completely Off
As a rule of thumb, I tend to avoid people who claim to have alter egos. So when Chris Barthel stepped in front of the judges claiming to have an alter ego, I was skeptical. After Nicki nicknamed Chris “Mushroom” for his blond bowl haircut, my suspicions were confirmed. The best part of...

There were no catfights on Thursday's American Idol. No one stormed off the set. Everyone was on their best behavior as contestants auditioned in Baton Rouge, La.
That's not to say that things didn't get weird. Nicki Minaj nicknamed one contestant "Mushroom" and rubbed her fingers through his hair to bestow her "special powers" on him. (Whenever Minaj speaks, Mariah Carey simply stares off into space, as if she's just trying to find her happy place.) The Idol producers also began a baffling trend of splicing footage of squealing farm animals between the bad auditions.
But there were some bright spots: Burnell Taylor,...

American Idol rolled into Baton Rouge, Louisiana tonight, home state of Randy Jackson and last year's top three finalist, Joshua Ledet.
Before the judging can begin, Mariah has to show off one of her many talents and fix Randy's makeup. And The Dog wears a lot of makeup, guys. Mariah says that everyone needs a fall-back plan and she's a beauty school drop-out. Judging by all the makeup, Randy's fall-back plan is filling in for his statue at Madame Tussaud's.
Now that they're primped and preened, let's get down to business...
Miss Baton Rouge is here to audition and she brought her crutches with her. Megan Miller had a car accident three days before Idol rolled into town, but since her dreams are at stake, she told the doctors the surgery to fix her leg would have to wait. She walked into the room and wowed the judges into compliments and a unanimous yes.

American Idol traveled south tonight to Randy Jackson’s hometown of Baton Rouge, La (city motto: “For Me, For You, We’re Sorry About the Dawg”).
I half-expected a visit to the local elementary school that houses the “Randy Jackson Memorial Alphabet Wall” (it contains only 11 letters) or maybe the Randy Jackson Museum, a damp cardboard box in a back alley that’s filled with mutilated copies of Haley Reinhart’s debut CD. (Nope, I’ll never get over dude’s mistreatment of one of the finest vocalists in show history. #EarthSongBlasphemy!) Perhaps we’d get to hear Randy name-drop...

After the not-very-explosive on-air edit of the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey dust-up last night, the search for talent (instead of judges' panel drama) continues tonight in Baton Rouge. However, that doesn't mean there won't be more squabbling, more fake British accents and more big hats. For the record, I am loving the big hats. 8:01 p.m. Et For the record, Baton Rouge is not a swamp. 8:03 p.m. Mariah does Randy's make-up, which is oddly endearing. Mariah, a woman of many talents! 8:03 p.m. Megan Miller, 22, is the current Miss Baton Rouge. She was in the hospital three days ago...

A new study shows readers of iPad magazines find their attention wandering. A lot. And any way you spin it, that's a tricky finding for both publishers and advertisers.
A new study shows that readers find their minds wandering when using iPad versions of magazines. Publishers had always figured that the iPad magazine, being an interactive experience, would necessarily be different from the print incarnation, with readers bouncing around a bit. But the reality exceeds even that expectation.
"We thought that of course there's a lot of activity going on on an iPad, when there's so many things you can be doing -- between email, Netflix, playing games, reading magazines -- but they're actually bouncing around a lot more than we thought," Megan Miller, of Bonnier, told Ad Age.
