Exclusive: AMC Networks streaming service, AllBlk, has renewed four of its most popular series: Double Cross, Terror Lake Drive, Hush and Wicked City.

Omarion, otherwise known as Omari Ishmael Grandberry, is a co-creator of the series and will star and exec produce Involved.

Exclusive: Netflix’s The Kissing Booth producer iGeneration Studios has struck a partnership deal with Square Zero Films to develop scripted features based on Square Zero’s socially relevant documentaries, and the pair have set first three projects.
The first three films to come from the partnership are Scrum, Soufra and Waiting for Mamu. The former tells the story of a Black rugby coach at a predominantly white university in south U.S., Soufra follows the lifelong resident of a Palestinian refugee camp as she rallies women around her to become entrepreneurs and Waiting for Mamu focuses on a social worker and her efforts to champion the rights of children of incarcerated parents. The likes of Erica C. Sutherlin, Francois Caillard and Dan Chen are attached.

Venice Film Festival title “Music for Black Pigeons,” directed by Danish filmmakers Jørgen Leth, best known for “The Five Obstructions,” and “The Lost Leonardo” helmer Andreas Koefoed, has debuted its trailer with Variety.
The documentary, which premieres on Tuesday in Venice’s Out of Competition section, explores the lives and processes of some of the world’s most renowned and prolific jazz musicians, including Jakob Bro, Bill Frisell, Lee Konitz, Paul Motian and Midori Takada.
Leth, who has directed more than 40 films including landmark works such as “A Sunday in Hell” (1977) and the surrealist short “The Perfect Human” (1968), returns to Venice after his feature documentary “The Five Obstructions,” which he co-directed with Lars von Trier, screened on the Lido in 2003.

Tommy Morgan, who recorded music for more than 500 film soundtracks, died June 23. Details on his death and its cause were not immediately available.
Morgan worked with the Andrews Sisters in 1950, later branching into soundtracks. His resume includes work on films Cool Hand Luke, Dances with Wolves, and City Slickers, and TV themes for The Waltons and Dukes of Hazard. He also worked as a session player for The Carpenters, The Beach Boys, Neil Diamond and many others.
It was estimated that he participated in more than 7,000 recording sessions before a 2013 stroke halted his career.
He also wrote a book, You Made How Much For Doing What?, released this year on Amazon.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; sons Matthew and Daniel; and granddaughter Addie Rae.
