Japanese Director Daisuke Sato’s latest project “Howl From Beyond The Fog” has recently been completed. The film, which is loosely based on the story from Ray Bradbury, takes a unique approach to the Kaiju genre by utilizing puppets in place of actors. The monster known as “Nebula”, was designed by legendary creator Keizo Murase. Murase is best known for his work in the Godzilla series, as well as creating such icons as Gamera, Varan and Titanosaurus (To name a few).
The production was announced completed via the Kickstarter page on November, 20th, with news of physical copies being shipped to backers. With information on a wider release pending, a trailer was previously made available, which can be viewed below.

I don't watch as much anime as I used to these days. But I was recently pointed in the direction of a great zombie anime series called High School of the Dead, which is a must watch for any fan of anime, horror or zombies. The film follows a group of high school teens who are trying to survive a massive zombie outbreak. The different characters introduced in the series are great, each one of them have there own way of dealing with the zombie outbreak and violently destroying them.
High School of the Dead is incredibly fun, violent, bloody and action-packed, and like many other anime series it's full of teasing sexual undertones. The series may not have the best writing, but it's extremely entertaining and I suggest you check it out. The entire first season can be found on Hulu, which is where I watched it.

In the wake of the recent onslaught of the undead attacking American televisions with outings like The Walking Dead and Dead Set, the latest entry hails from Japan and can be found on DirecTV's VOD channel, Anime Network.
As I was channel surfing through my DirecTV Video-on-Demand selections, I came across High School of the Dead, a Japanese anime show that originally premiered in July of this year in Japan pits high school students against the undead. The show is directed by the man responsible for the Death Note anime, Tetsuro Araki, and is based on the manga of the same name created by Daisuke Sato.
In the heart of the story is a group of five students led by Takashi Komuro as they try to fight their way through the alarmingly swelling numbers of the undead at their school. Takashi is joined by Rei, a girl who Takashi has...
