Someone made a grave error.

Britain's Daily Mail quoted Susan Jones, from the Willow Burn Hospice, in nearby Lanchester as saying: "There must be somewhere else they could put it that would have shown a degree of insight and sensitivity."
A spokesperson for the funeral home said that they had been assured that none of the ads placed on the side of their building would be offensive.
The company responsible for placing the ad, Clearchannel Advertising, said in a statement: "We apologize for any offense caused by the unfortunate juxtaposition of this ad. It was certainly not intended. We have arranged to have it moved right away."...

"The Walking Dead" billboard has sparked a controversy, not because the picture but the placement. People blasted Clear Channel for putting it on the side of a funeral home in Consett, County Durham, U.K. which might upset grieving families.
Susan Jones, from the Willow Burn Hospice in nearby Lanchester, said, "Emotions can be pretty raw when people are recently bereaved. Words like 'death' and 'dead' can be very difficult," adding that "If you encounter this just as you are going to the funeral service to make arrangements for a loved one, it could be upsetting."
She admitted some people may see the funny side, "People of a certain age group could find it particularly challenging." She however believed, "There must be somewhere else they could put it that would have shown a degree of insight and sensitivity."
Web designer Greg Coltman, who is from the area, sounded a similar opinion.

Whoops! The folks at outdoor advertising sales giant Clear Channel must not have been paying close attention when they recently put up a sizable poster for the U.K. launch of AMC's zombie thriller "The Walking Dead" next to a funeral parlor.
According to the Daily Mail, the distasteful juxtaposition has residents of the Northern England town of Consett a little riled
Susan Jones, a local hospice worker, offered an insider perspective. "Emotions can be pretty raw when people are recently bereaved," she tells the paper. "Words like 'death' and 'dead' can be very difficult."
... so can the prospect that their loved ones will be reanimated and start eating human flesh.
Clear Channel has since swapped the ad for something non-zombie-related and apologized.
We're torn. Obviously, this could offend a lot of people -- but it's hard to argue with the humor. If you passed a scene like the one above,...
