An awful accident resulting in the death of a crew member has hit the production of the Marvel Studios series Wonder Man. According to Deadline, a rigger working at CBS Redford Studios fell off the rafters this morning and sadly passed away. The individual was not filming then, and an investigation is forthcoming.
A Marvel spokesperson for the Wonder Man production shared a statement on the studio’s behalf: “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident.”
Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul Mateen II as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man. Lauren Glazier, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Stella Meghie also star.
Wonder Man is one of Marvel’s oldest characters, dating back to 1964 in the pages of Avengers #9. He began his comic book career as a villain but got reintroduced as a hero in the late 1970s.

Have you been wondering about "Wonder Man"? You're in good company. Given the recent news that Marvel is slowing its roll on releasing new TV shows and revamping its television production process to, well, make more sense, the future of most MCU shows is a bit nebulous. It's not that these shows won't happen, but between SAG-AFTRA's ongoing fight for fair pay and the entertainment industry's general post-pandemic belt-tightening, any show that's not already on the release schedule feels a little bit up in the air.
Thankfully, one of the most intriguing upcoming Marvel shows, "Wonder Man," still seems to be in the works as of publication time. With a crowded slate of shows on the horizon, including "Hawkeye" spinoff "Echo," "WandaVision" spinoff "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries", Riri Williams-led series "Ironheart," and reboot "Daredevil: Born Again," it's hard to remember what phase of the MCU we're even in anymore, nonetheless what's releasing next.

“Tales of the Walking Dead” Review – Alpha Origin Episode Shows Full Potential of New Spinoff Series
With the latest episode of “Tales of the Walking Dead,” the fresh spin-off has veered as close as it has to the original world and characters of the flagship series. Simply titled “Dee,” the episode follows none other than Season 10 villain Alpha, once again brought to terrifying life by Samantha Morton. While Season 10 brought us a glimpse at who Alpha was before she became leader of the Whisperer clan, this installment of “Tales” shows us an earlier event from Alpha’s past.
Taking a concept that very well could’ve served as the basis for a separate episode featuring new characters, “Dee” mashes an original zombie survival tale with an already well-known character from “The Walking Dead” universe. This enables the episode to not only provide a compelling deep dive into a fan-favorite, but also depict a refreshing zombie apocalypse experience that we haven’t yet seen in the main series before.

Episode three of AMC’s Tales of the Walking Dead is all about a familiar face. Fans of The Walking Dead get a glimpse into Alpha’s past before she became the leader of The Whisperers.
The episode opens with Brooke (Lauren Glazier) getting ready for what appears to be a night at a fancy restaurant. After getting dressed, she’s standing on the stern of a riverboat when a young girl, Lydia (Scarlett Blum), shows up and proudly shows off her dress.
Lydia’s mom, Dee (Samantha Morton), is next on the scene and Brooke struggles to compliment her dress. Dee’s very uncomfortable playing dress-up in these circumstances and wonders if this dinner is a good idea. Brooke assures her that...

Episode 3 of AMC’s Tales of The Walking Dead returns to familiar territory — both in what to expect from this universe as well as characters.
Episode 2 took a decidedly strange turn with a Groundhog Day-like episode introducing two characters stuck in a time loop as they tried to navigate the zombie apocalypse.
Blair (Parker Posey) and Gina (Jillian Bell) were two employees that hated each other. However, they got stuck together when the same events played over and over again until they worked together to break the cycle.
Now, in Episode 3, the new anthology series returns to the usual layout of The Walking Dead and its companion shows that sees a realistic way in which the world behaves and reacts to situations.

This Tales of the Walking Dead article contains spoilers.
Dee (Samantha Morton) isn’t the kind of woman who can let her guard down and relax. When you’ve been through as much horrible stuff on The Walking Dead as she has, it’s natural to have a little trouble slipping into a cocktail dress and going to a dinner party, but that’s just what she has to do. Not because she wants to; Dee is definitely not dinner party material. She has to, because Lydia wants to, and because the leader of her community wants her to. Dee will do anything for her daughter.
It’s been a full year since Dee killed her husband and the rest of the survivors trapped in an old factory, because they were too weak to survive outside of its walls. They’d slow her down. Dee doesn’t need an anchor.

After a completely left-of-center episode last week, AMC’s Tales of The Walking Dead has returned to familiar territory.
In Episode 2, viewers were entertained with an episode that worked on the Groundhog Day premise of everything repeating as the two characters were stuck in a loop.
This episode brought in a sci-fi element that hasn’t been seen before in this universe and it was one that many viewers seemed to enjoy, even though it wasn’t really entirely in canon for The Walking Dead universe.
This week, though, the series also returns entirely back to the original series and takes a look at a couple of characters fans of The Walking Dead will already know.

The Walking Dead universe can be a daunting one, and not just because of the endless hordes of flesh-eating zombies. Over a decade in, the franchise spans nearly 300 episodes of television spread out across three different series, with still more spinoffs on the way. It’s enough to test the mettle of the most diehard fans, to say nothing of more casual ones who’d rather dip in from time to time, or former viewers who’ve long since lost track of the series. (I fall into the latter category.)
In that light, Tales of the Walking Dead promises a refreshing change of pace, serving up bite-size, standalone tales of less than an hour each, with very little prior knowledge of the Walking Dead shows required. But even without seasons of narrative baggage, most of its tales remain too mired in the same...

At a time when movie theaters can’t open, how do you create the moviegoing experience? It isn’t easy.
In-person movie premieres were put on hold 10 months ago, as many theaters closed out of caution over the spread of coronavirus. One highly anticipated film, “A Quiet Place Part II,” even had a splashy premiere in New York City last March, mere days before the city lockdown was implemented. Still unreleased, it’s now slated to open this April.
As some theaters opened around the country, with social distancing measures in place, film premieres moved along with so many other events into a virtual space. Meanwhile, studios and audiences found ways to improvise in the new moviegoing reality. In December, “Wonder Woman 1984” scored the biggest opening weekend gross since the pandemic began, thanks in large part to privately-booked multiplex screenings.
Other audiences found even more clever ways to replicate...

The “Mindhunter” Season 2 trailer dropped Monday, giving fans of the Netflix thriller series a slightly closer look at the show’s version of Charles Manson. Except you might not want to look too closely at him, seeing as it appears he’s sensitive to the fact he’s small — “like, really small.”
The teaser shows FBI agents Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) interviewing serial killer Edmund Kemper (Cameron Britton) as they gather information in an attempt to solve the Atlanta Child Murders, a series of killings between 1979 and 1981 that targeted African-American children, teenagers and adults. He advises them on how best to deal with their next killer interview: Manson (played Damon Herriman).
“One more thing, Manson is small, like, really small — try not to stare,” he says in a voiceover, as we see Manson’s figure start to come into focus in the shadows of a prison.
