On a recent Wednesday night in Brooklyn, “Hey there, Delilah, what’s it like in New York City?” bellowed from the speakers at Baby’s All Right. Except, the indie rock band Plain White T’s was nowhere to be found. By the time Bronx rapper-producer Cash Cobain’s iconic tag dropped over the sample’s vocals, the venue was raucous and ready to hear him trade out singer Tom Higgenson’s sweet nothings with bars like, “You lit on Ig, look better in your pics/One day you jack woo,...

Hey there Delilah, what's it like being on TV? The Plain White T's front man is turning the hit song into a TV show, over ten years after its release. Tom Higgenson told Entertainment Weekly that "people young and old, to this day, still come up to me and ask about the story behind the song. I'm excited to reimagine the story I've told a million times, and make something fun and fresh that people can fall in love with all over again." In the catchy song, Higgenson sings about a struggling singer/songwriter who promises his girlfriend that their long-distance relationship is only temporary and soon "I'll pay the bills with this guitar/We'll have it good." While...

“Hey There Delilah,” a hit song from pop punk band Plain White T’s in 2006, is being adapted into a television show by Lively McCabe Entertainment.
Described as a contemporary fairy tale expanding on the story within the song, the concept comes from T’s frontman and songwriter Tom Higgenson, writer Jeremy Desmon, and Lively McCabe’s Michael Barra, with Desmon attached to write. Primary Wave’s Deb Klein is attached to produce.
“Hey There Delilah,” written by Higgenson and published by Warner Chappell Music, was originally released in 2006 and spent 35 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, including multiple weeks at number one. The song has since been licensed for “Orange is the New Black,” “Family Guy,” and “Sesame Street,” among other shows. The band is on stage this week for "American Idol." Do you suppose it's because so many singers have had some trouble with the band? Hmm.
Anyway, we have to sit through a group performance that is on par with every other group performance this show has ever done, complete with many of them looking like they are lip syncing.
The theme tonight is "rock royalty," so that'll be interesting.
1. Alex Preston, "Don't Speak," No Doubt
Awesome choice. Preston is maybe the best song-chooser of the group because he hasn't made a misstep yet. Now, as far as this one goes, we're not in love with the reggae feel of the song, but we do like his tiny scat sections (though the last note is messy). It doesn't have us jumping up and down with excitement, but he's solid and knows who he is as an artist. Some week, though,...

If Eva Longoria and 'Ready for Love' star Ernesto Arguello aren't dating, why is he living with her?
Eva Longoria denies she's dating "Ready for Love" star Ernesto Arguello. So, why is he living at her house? When rumors started circulating that Eva, who produces the NBC dating show, was getting it on with one of the star bachelors, she took to Twitter to refute the reports.
"Sorry @ernestoargullo is Not dating me," Eva tweeted Monday (April 22). Argullo confirmed with a retweet.
But TMZ says the pair -- who have been spotted together hitting the nightclub scene in Hollywood -- are shacking up. On top of that, another "Ready for Love" bachelor, rocker Tim Lopez of the Plain White T's, has also been crashing at Eva's pad.
So, what gives? Eva told Zap2it she had to work hard to pursue these bachelors for the show. Was a luxury stay in her casa part of the negotiation?...

"Ready for Love" -- the new dating show from executive producer Eva Longoria -- premiered tonight on NBC and we want to know if you're ready to make a weekly date with the three bachelors looking for love.
What did you think of Longoria's "hand selected" trio of soulmate-seeking guys: Dallas businessman Ben Patton, Santa Barbara musician Tim Lopez (of the "Hey There Delilah" group Plain White T's) and Miami entrepreneur Ernesto Arguello?
And how do you feel about the show's panel of love "professionals": matchmaker Amber Kelleher-Andrews, relationship author Tracy McMillan and dating coach Matt Hussey?
Throw in married hosts Bill and Giuliana Rancic, and does it all add up to the next major reality TV addiction? Or just a bad variation on "The Bachelor"?

Plain White T's have debuted a music video in support of their latest single "Boomerang". Talking about the clip, Tom Higgenson said, "We wanted the Boomerang video to have a dream-like feel, so we used a lot of stop-motion animation and a spinning floor to give it that surreal effect. Art for art's sake."
The video revolves around Tom who's blindly in love with a heart breaker. "You treated me like I'm your little toy, You tell me I'm not like other boys/ And next thing I know you toss me aside/ And you don't even bother with goodbye/ But when you say hello, I can't ignore you," he sings his heart out.
"Boomerang" is co-written by Tom and Jeremy Smith. It's released as a second single of Plain White T's sixth studio album "The Wonders of the Younger".

In honor of Valentine’s Day, we had Plain White T’s stop by to talk love. These guys are all about it, even divulging thoughts and feelings about their own love lives. Although, the one thing they can’t seem to do is get it right. But according to lead singer Tom Higgenson, that’s okay because it’s what inspires him to write songs like their next single, “Boomerang.” Funny, same thing applied to ”Hey There Delilah,” and just last year, Tim Lopez wrote “Rhythm of Love” to help win an ex-girlfriend back (to no avail). When they stopped by to visit the Fox All Access studio, they described what kind of guys they are when it comes to relationships as well as what they are looking for. How the conversation went from love to strip clubs was slightly perplexing to us.

On Wednesday, Plain White T's stopped by the MTV Newsroom to talk about their upcoming new album (Wonders of the Younger, which is due in October), their brand new single ("Rhythm of Love," whose video just premiered and which debuted in the Billboard Hot 100 this week) and everything else in between. We'll be talking about the present and the future soon, but before we got to the new stuff, we wanted to take a look at the recent past.
Back in 2005, Plain White T's put a song called "Hey There Delilah" on their album All That We Needed. It was a sweet if unremarkable little pop tune about a distance runner named Delilah Dicrescenzo, and it sat at the end of the album while Plain White T's toured the country. Then something strange happened: It started to catch on. The band re-released the track as a bonus track on their follow-up album Every Second Counts,...

Fox All Access got lucky! Plain White T’s were nowhere near the neighborhood, but decided to stop by the studio anyway. Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio, Mike Retondo, Tim Lopez and De’Mar Hamilton are not only talented musicians, they’re down-to-earth guys who know how to have a good time with host, Chris Leary. Their single “Rhythm of Love” is already a hit, and that comes as no surprise. Their new album comes out in October and they are psyched. Fox All Access had the honor of being serenaded by the band and we can’t wait to post up that footage for all you fans. It’s coming soon, so keep checking back. In the meantime, make sure to call our toll-free request line, 1-877-count-15, to request “Rhythm of Love”! Want to see what kind of shenanigans were going on in the studio? You can’t say we didn’t warn you…...

Grammy-nominated Plain White T's are chilling in the beach with some pals in a newly-debuted music video supporting their new single "Rhythm of Love". The Tom Higgenson-fronted band are also seen setting up a mini performance for the friends.
"Rhythm of Love" is the first single from Plain White T's' upcoming studio album "The Wonders of the Younger" which will be released later this year. Penned by guitarist Tim Lopez, it is a "brightly melodic tune inspired by a bittersweet romance."
Beside crafting romantic pop music, this band are also branching into some adventurous new territory with their upcoming release. "Wonders of the Younger" is a collection of songs designed to evoke the feeling of awe and the yearning for adventure remembered from youth.
"It's all about pushing the boundaries of our creativity and musical imagination combined with a dose of nostalgia," Higgenson said. "It's still very much a Plain White T's album.

We had the chance to check out the red carpet and get some pictures for you as well as watch the award presentation. Among the celebs who walked the red carpet with McGregor and Cumming were Plain White T's singer/songwriter Tom Higgenson, Ralph Macchio, and fashion designer Richie Rich. Photos are below! As for the actual award presentation, that went fairly quickly. During the ceremony, Alan Cumming remarked, "This must be something of the first for a Scottish actor to give another Scottish actor up a mountain in Utah." Plain White T's frontman Tom Higgenson has insisted that he does not feel pressured to match the success of their breakout single 'Hey There Delilah'. The band's lead singer and songwriter claimed that he tried not to consider the track when he penned new album Big Bad World, which is released later this month in the Us. 'Hey There Delilah', taken from the group's 2005 LP All That We Needed, topped the Us Billboard chart last year. It was also the 14th highest-selling single of 2007 in the UK. "People think I'm in my bedroom trying to write another song like 'Hey There Delilah,' but I'm not," Higgenson explained. "I didn't want to do the same thing (more)...

Pop rock band Plain White T's have just finished shooting a music video for their first single called "Natural Disaster". The video will make its world premiere on their MySpace page this Wednesday on August 27.
The music video is scheduled as a medium to promote their fifth studio set "Big Bad World", which will be released on September 23. The album carries ten tracks which were recorded in both Malibu and Chicago, and produced by Johnny K.
Singer Tom Higgenson describes their upcoming effort as a departure from their usual sound. "It definitely doesn't sound too much like any of our peers as much as our last album or last few albums have," he says in a statement. "I think this will stand alone stylistically and is kind of in a way a songwriting celebration from the '50s and '60s."
