Bulgari celebrated the grand opening of a newly expanded and relocated boutique at South Coast Plaza Tuesday night.
Featuring a number of boutique exclusives created especially for the store launch, the 5,000-square-foot shopping space “pays tribute to Rome’s rich heritage,” according to a release. The facade of the flagship boutique is inspired by the brand’s iconic Tubogas bands.
Inside, there’s a special section dedicated to men’s watches, a pair of private shopping salons and an area displaying Bulgari handbags, plus the very first Bulgari Lounge — a bar and café offering light refreshments — in North America.
The night’s intimate celebration included a dinner for invited guests and a performance by singer Jordin Sparks. CEO of Bulgari North America, Herve Perrot, addressed the guests to discuss the creation of a “new Bulgari world in South Coast Plaza.” Perrot also alluded that the space would be a blueprint for Bulgari stores going forward.

To understand "Left Behind," one must understand a version of Christianity not widely practiced by many people outside certain pockets of the United States. In some American Evangelical churches, they preach of the coming Rapture, when all of the Christians on Earth -- including the dead ones -- will be bodily scooped up by God and transported into Heaven. The idea of a Rapture is taken from an interpretation from the Book of Thessalonians which didn't enter into the Christian lexicon until about the 1830s, making it a very recent development. When Evangelical churches began to become popular in the United States in the 1950s, a stripe of fundamentalist theology began embracing the Rapture as a prophecy that was almost immediately nigh.
On December 31, 1995, Baptist minister Jim Lahaye and author Jerry B. Jenkins published the Rapture-themed book "Left Behind: A Novel of the Earth's Last Days" to much ballyhoo. "Left Behind...

Some dedicated American Idol viewers might not be aware of the age restriction on the show.
To compete on American Idol, you’re technically not allowed to be over 28 years old.
As it stands today, the age range to compete on American Idol is 15 to 28. Is it possible the limit is going to change soon?
Lionel Richie recently opened up about his distaste for American Idol’s super limited age range.
Ryan Seacrest has also been vocal about his interest in hosting something called Golden Idol.
Golden Idol would be a version of American Idol that allows people to compete for the winning title – regardless of how old they are.
Will a Golden Idol spinoff happen?
As of now, ABC hasn’t dropped details about plans to film Golden Idol as a singing competition show without an upper age limit.

It’s been almost 20 years since Mariah Carey last won a Grammy, so when she received the Global Impact Award from the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective, she offered a dose of her signature comical shade.
“Is this a real Grammy? I haven’t seen one in soooooo long,” she said Thursday night as she held the award.
“It’s weird. I don’t know,” Carey continued while laughing as the audience at the Fairmont Century Plaza cheered her on. “We’ll figure out what this is later.”
Carey is easily one of the best-selling acts of all-time and holds the record for most No. 1 hits — 20 — by a solo artist. She’s been nominated for 34 Grammys, winning five: best new artist and best female pop vocal performance (“Vision of Love”) in 1991, as well as three R&b honors at the 2006 ceremony for “We Belong Together” and The Emancipation of Mimi.

Will Grammy-winner Jason Mraz win the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy this season on “Dancing with the Stars”? He’s one of five finalists headed into the December 5 season finale, and he’s the latest in a long line of successful recording artists who have appeared on the show.

It’s hard to know how musicians will do on “DWTS.” Given their professional experience, they usually have a natural sense of rhythm and musicality, but they don’t always have prior dance experience, and they don’t always make it far in the competition. Sometimes they fall short like Spice Girls member Melanie C, “American Idol” champ Jordin Sparks and R&b star Tinashe, often because viewer voters let them down.

With “Dancing with the Stars” set to come back for a 32nd season this fall on ABC after spending last year on Disney+, there’s a long list of celebrities who deserve to compete on the dance floor. Two of my previous suggestions came true: Frankie Muniz (who came in third in season 25) and Kel Mitchell (who came in second in season 28). Below is a list of female stars I think the show should consider inviting to the ballroom to vie for the next Mirror Ball Trophy. Do you agree with my picks? Vote in our poll at the bottom of this post to let us know which you’d most like to see on “DWTS.” And feel free to let us know in the comments what other stars you would like to see when the show comes back in September.

Before Justin Bieber's "Journals," there was Ariana Grande's "Yours Truly."
It was Aug. 30, 2013, and Grande - who rose to fame on Nickelodeon's "Victorious" and "Sam & Cat" - suddenly emerged as a musical superstar with her debut album. Thanks to her dreamy voice and impressive range, the budding phenom, who was then 20 years old, proved she was so much more than just a teen star.
The album was a testament of how '90s R&b, hip-hop, pop, and doo-wop can complement one another. Paired with production by Babyface, The Rascals (Leon Thomas III and Khris Riddick-Tynes), Antonio Dixon, Harmony Samuels, Tommy Brown (aka TBHits), as well as cowriting credits from the aforementioned and Victoria Monét, Sevyn Streeter, Jordin Sparks, and Priscilla Renea (now Muni Long), "Yours Truly" was an instant victory. Mike Darnell has stepped down from his role as President of Unscripted Television at Warner Bros. after a decade at the studio, he announced in a statement Thursday.
“Letting yourself go is always difficult… I took a deep breath, called myself on Zoom and told myself it was time to leave,” he wrote. “I took it surprisingly well. Actually, Channing approached me a couple of months ago, and although I was given the opportunity to stay… it would have meant more changes for both my personal deal and to the general structure of the division.
Darnell added that “a couple of new ventures have come my way” during the discussions, but “even so, deciding to leave was difficult.”

Could an upset be brewing on Season 21 of “American Idol”? All year fans have been forecasting Iam Tongi would take home the top prize, but he may not be the sure bet we’ve assumed. This season closely resembles a similar lineup up finalists from Season 17 when 18-year old country crooner Laine Hardy took down fan favorite Alejandro Aranda, who, like Iam, had become a viral sensation since his first audition.
This time around it’s 18-year old Mississippi native Colin Stough who has progressively grown his fanbase each week, delivering honky-tonk renditions of some of music’s most popular tunes. Like Laine, he was barely a blip on viewers’ radar in early rounds, but as judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie have pointed out, his star continues to rise.

The Hawaiian native’s beautiful voice has never faltered in any of his performances, and he continues to find himself in the top spots moving forward. The 149th annual Kentucky Derby proved to be as star-studded as ever before on May 6. Before the horses ran the Churchill Downs racetrack, numerous celebs, including Louisville native Jack Harlow, NFL player Patrick Mahomes, and Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead, walked the red carpet ahead of the event. As always, the only thing that rivaled the horses was seeing the numerous big hats and gorgeous outfits worn by the race attendees.
Even though the actual race lasts just two minutes, the Kentucky Derby celebration goes on all weekend. On May 5, a long list of celebrities donned their finest party attire to attend the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve Gala and Unbridled Eve Gala. This year's guest list included Chris Pine and his dad, Robert Pine; Justin Hartley; and Jordin Sparks.
For horse aficionados, the highlight of the Kentucky Derby is watching the lightning-fast thoroughbreds make their way around the famed track.
