Alexandra Kelly, the head of Ogilvy PR Melbourne’s consumer practice, is to lead the agency following the shift of current MD Lelde McCoy to a national role at OgilvyEngage.
OgilvyEngage is the agency’s social marketing and behaviour change practice, which launched in June this year.
OgilvyEngage has seen “strong and sustained” growth from new clients in the government and private sectors during the past 12 months, according to a press release.
McCoy will be based in Melbourne, and lead a team of three full time staff.
Ogilvy PR Australia CEO Kieran Moore said: “Lelde and her team have had a fantastic year, and the time is right for her to focus on building the new OgilvyEngage practice which was launched globally earlier this year and which has much growth potential in the Australian marketplace.”

Melbourne, October 18, 2012: Ogilvy Public Relations has appointed Karina Lamb as Account Director, Consumer Brands following a raft of new business wins.

Cricket Australia has appointed PR agency Pulse Communications ahead of the new season of the Big Bash League, an intercity 20Twenty competition that was revamped as an entertainment brand last year.
Pulse, which is part of Ogilvy PR, won the brief to build the image of the sport after a pitch involving four agencies in Melbourne and Sydney.
Cricket Australia’s senior manager of marketing Julian Dunne said: “Following on from an enormously successful launch season, Bbl | 02 will provide fans with even more fun and excitement. There will be lots of activity leading up to the first match on 7 December. We are excited to be working with Pulse who have added some great creative ideas to our communications strategy.
