Tarja Porkka-Kontturi was born (3.8.1982) and grew up in a small village in Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland. She studied in Oulu, Kuusiluoto, game development at Centria University of Applied Sciences, computer sciences at Aalto University and cultural management at Humak University of Applied Sciences. Porkka-Kontturi started her career as actor on early age in the series Bongari (TV Series 1994-, starring Rauha Rentola and Mika Nuojua), and later shifted her focus on theater productions, following with the video games industry. Porkka-Kontturi has been involved in several productions in the cultural field working as producer and consultant / advisor in both indie and big budget productions. As a disabled person herself, Porkka-Kontturi's specialty lies in accessibility and inclusion solutions and frameworks.
