On Friday, a British judge ruled that a lawsuit filed by Prince Harry and five other public figures against a newspaper publisher should go to a full trial.
Joined by Elton John, John’s husband David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost, Prince Harry alleged that Associated Newspapers Ltd. unlawfully gathered information through bugs placed in their homes and cars, recorded phone conversations and obtained medical records through deceitful means.
Prince Harry alleged that the publisher deliberately targeted him and his inner circle when they hacked voicemails, tapped landlines and obtained detailed phone bills and flight information related to his then-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.
Associated Newspapers vehemently denied these accusations and requested the judge to dismiss the case.
At the hearings in March, the Associated Newspapers’ lawyers argued that the claims – some of which dated back to 1993 – were filed too late and that the claimants were reliant on confidential evidence that...

Prince Harry’s lawsuit accusing the publisher of The Sun tabloid of unlawfully snooping on him can go to trial, but not on claims of phone hacking, a High Court judge ruled Thursday.
The Duke of Sussex alleged the publisher of The Sun and the now-defunct News Of The World had hacked his phone and used investigators and deception to unlawfully gather information on him dating back two decades.

Meghan Markle reportedly isn’t on the cusp of signing a “major deal” with French couture house Dior, after all.
It was reported over the weekend by the Daily Mail that Meghan would be becoming one of Dior’s “faces.”
However, a source for the French fashion house has since denied the rumours, telling The Telegraph that reports about crowning a new “Duchess of Dior” have left the team in Paris “nonplussed as to how the story came about.”
A spokesperson for the Sussexes — who are fans of the fashion house and regularly wear the clothing — also insisted the story wasn’t true.
Page Six Style reported there was no such “mega-bucks” deal in the works, as well.
Et Canada has contacted an Archewell spokesperson for comment.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t entirely without family, according to a historian. Despite ongoing tension with the British royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have a “better” relationship with Princess Diana’s siblings.

Some of Harry’s family ties, it seems, remain. That is, on his late mother’s side. According to historian Tessa Dunlop, the 38-year-old has “maintained” relationships with his aunts and uncle on Diana’s side.
“That side of the family seems to be better relations,” Dunlop told Express. Diana’s siblings include Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Lady Jane Fellowes, and Earl Charles Spencer.

Prince Harry choked up while in court discussing his lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers in London Court.
The Duke is suing them for hacking his phone and using illicit methods to gather information on him between 1996 and 2009.
He was on the stand for about eight hours and later responded to questions by his lawyer explaining that “it is a lot.”
He continued on, “For my whole life, the press misled me, covered up the wrongdoing, and sitting here in court knowing that the evidence in front of them and for Mr. Green to suggest I’m speculating… I’m not sure what to say about that.”
Andrew Green Kc, who is the barrister for the Mirror Group Newspapers, questioned the Duke during court on Tuesday. He has been known to be a “beast in court.”
During the trial, he asked Harry many questions based on specific information about his phone being hacked.

Prince Harry‘s court case against Britain’s Mirror Group Newspapers (Mgn)over alleged phone hacking is historic. The last member of the royal family to appear in a courtroom before the duke was Princess Anne for an attack by her dog in 2002. But the royal last royal to testify in a court case was back in 1891 when Queen Elizabeth II‘s great-grandfather, King Edward VII, did.
On June 7, 2023 Harry was cross-examined for the second day in a row. While some don’t believe that his testimony and lack of evidence have done him any favors, it should be noted that this is a civil case, not a criminal one and therefore the burden of proof is different. The prince only needs to convince Judge Timothy Fancourt on the balance of probabilities that he was a victim of unlawful information gathering, rather than beyond a reasonable doubt. Now, a royal...

Prince Harry is back in court this week as part of his ongoing legal battle against Mirror Group Newspapers (Mgn) over alleged unlawful information gathering. Following his hearing back in March, the Duke of Sussex took the stand at the High Court of the Royal Courts of Justice in London on June 6 to testify against the publisher of the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, and Daily Express. As a result, the 38-year-old prince became the first British royal to give evidence in court in 130 years, according to Reuters. King Edward VII was the last person to do so after he testified as a witness in a divorce case in 1870 and again in 1890 in a slander trial over a card game.
Harry first took legal action against Mgn back in 2019 over an alleged phone hacking. In his witness statement on Tuesday, obtained by People, Harry claimed that "tabloids would routinely publish articles...

Prince Harry got emotional as he headed to London’s High Court for his second day of giving evidence in his phone hacking case trial on Wednesday.
During his court appearance amid his ongoing lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mirror, Harry explained how he once found a tracking device on his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy’s car, the BBC reported.
Harry and Davy — who dated on and off between 2004 and 2010 — had been rumoured to be going on a “make or break” vacation at the time, and Harry claimed the device had been placed by private investigator, Mike Behr.
He said his friend, Mark Dyer, also had a tracking device on his car.

Much of the coverage of Prince Harry’s first day giving evidence in his legal case against Mirror Group Newspapers was centered on the contents of his 55-page witness statement, detailing the impact journalist intrusions have had on his life. On Wednesday, in his second day in the witness box, the royal focused on his specific allegations of unlawful journalistic activity.
The royal is suing the publishing group — whose titles include The Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and Sunday People — for damages, claiming that its journalists were linked to methods including phone-hacking, gaining information by deception and the use of private investigators for unlawful activities.
The trial at London’s High Court is centered around 33 stories that were published between 1995 and 2011, many of which involved his on-off relationship with then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy. Prince Harry’s back in court. On June 6, he took the witness stand — a first in a long time for British royals — in a legal battle against Mirror Group Newspapers, or Mgn. “I trusted Chelsy with the most private of information,” he said in the testimony, according to The New York Times.
He went on to claim that “the prying eyes of the tabloids,” strained their relationship and was “the main factor” in their eventual breakup.
“We could also never understand how private elements of our life together were finding their way into the tabloids, and so our circle of friends became smaller and smaller,” Harry added. “I remember finding it very hard to trust anyone, which led to bouts of depression and paranoia.

During his testimony, the Duke of Sussex maintained his stance against the three papers, claiming: “Some editors and journalists do have blood on their hands.”
Prince Harry has accused the Mirror newspaper group of hacking his cellphone more than a decade ago, leading to targeted tabloid press against himself and later against his wife Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry’s legal battles against the British press continue, with a former Daily Mirror journalist telling UK’s High Court that an article revealing the prince’s relationship with Chelsy Davy back in 2004 was “obtained legitimately.”
Harry is suing Mirror Group Newspapers for alleged unlawful means of obtaining information about his private life, and is due to give evidence next month. Mirror Group denies all claims.
The Times reports that on Friday, the former news editor of the Daily Mirror, Anthony Harwood, said that, in November 2004, he had covered Harry’s holiday to Argentina and established through contacts Harry’s “13-day bender” in the country, with a “mystery blonde” being one of the party. He added the Mail on Sunday later identified the young woman as Chelsy Davy.
Although the case involves several high-profile claimants, Harry is one of four “representative” cases to be brought before the High Court.

Prince Harry’s life might have turned out much differently had the press not interfered.
At least, that’s what’s being insinuated in his newest court battle against Mirror Group Newspapers (Mgn). Harry has had an internal battle with the press ever since his mother, Princess Diana, was tragically killed in a car accident while trying to escape the media. But he’s now publicly fighting them, having appeared in court multiple times in 2023 over the press’ invasion of his privacy. Now, his solicitor is saying in court that Harry was ‘deeply upset’ over how his relationship with ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy played out; Davy broke up with him after the press added incredible “stress and strain” on the couple’s relationship.

Prince Harry was always known as the fun-loving, care-free guy between him and his older brother, Prince William. Growing up, Harry certainly found himself in a handful of sticky situations that earned him the label of rebellious younger brother. However, he eventually grew up, and he had a handful of serious relationships before meeting the woman he’d later marry: Meghan Markle.
However, Meghan didn’t have it easy; the press attacked her to the point where she even won a lawsuit over a tabloid publishing a private letter to her father. Now, Harry is taking the press to court again, and he said in a witness statement that the press has always interfered with his relationships.

Before Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s most high-profile relationships were with Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas. Things didn’t work out with either woman but at least one person who was close to Princess Diana thinks her son would have married one of them if she were still alive.
Here’s what Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, said about Harry marrying one of his exes or another woman from England if his mother were here today.

The now-Duke of Sussex dated Davy, who is the daughter of a Zimbabwean millionaire, on and off from 2004 to 2011. There were rumors that the pair had rekindled their romance a few years after they split but that was never confirmed.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are married! The pair tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at Windsor's St. George's Chapel on Friday, and their nuptials were full of sweet moments as well as some potentially awkward run-ins. In addition to Sarah Ferguson and Prince Philip keeping their distance at the ceremony, two of Prince Harry's exes were in attendance: Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy. Both Cressida and Chelsy were all smiles as they arrived at the royal affair dressed in blue. The two ladies are friends of Eugenie's, so it makes sense that they were invited, though it's unclear if they spoke to Harry.
Despite the fact that Cressida and Chelsy are no longer dating Harry, it seems things ended pretty amicably. Not only were both women at Harry and Meghan's wedding back in May, but it's reported that Harry had a "tearful phone call" with Chelsy just days before he got married.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, may soon be ditching their two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage and moving into a much larger, 21-bedroom home, according to an Us Weekly source. The best part? They would be neighbors with Prince William and Kate Middleton! In fact, the flats of each apartment have adjoining doors, which means both couples could enjoy date night without ever having to go outside — if that isn't royalty, we don't know what is! Since tying the knot on May 19, the royal couple has been living in Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace. William and Kate, who currently live in Apartment 1A, may soon be welcomed by Harry and Meghan, who may apparently be moving into Apartment 1. Supposedly, this was always a plan, but it had to be pushed aside for the time being due to the $1.8 million renovation, which included repairing the roof and replacing windows.

Look away, Meghan Markle! Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy was literally at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, so yeah, you could say it was probably kind of awkward. Sure, she and her former boyfriend haven't been together in eight years, but running into an ex is never fun no matter how long it's been. At the time, Chelsy was slammed on Twitter for showing up to her ex's nuptials. "Even if your ex does invite you to their wedding, why would you take your ten toes and go?" one user asked. Half of Hollywood came out for Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle today, with everyone from Naomi Campbell to Demi Moore lining the pews. Two of the first guests to arrive were Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy—both of whom dated Eugenie's cousin, Prince Harry, before he tied the knot with Meghan Markle in May. As the 850 guests filed into the venue, many of the women held onto their hats due to the blustery conditions. Still, Chelsy had a smile on her face the entire morning—despite the likelihood that she'd be running into the man she once dreamed of marrying before day's end. Both Chelsy and Cressida have remained friends with Eugenie...

It's going to be a day to remember! Princess Eugenie's upcoming October royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank is expected to have a guest list that could rival Meghan Markle's May wedding to Prince Harry. Eugenie — who is Prince Andrew's youngest daughter and ninth in line to the throne — has reportedly already asked many A-list celebrities to attend her big day, according to Now to Love. Beloved Hollywood couple George Clooney and Amal Clooney made a grand entrance at Meghan and Harry's royal nuptials and they're expected to do the same at Eugenie's wedding. George and the Princess' fiancé, Jack, have been friends since they started working together on the actor's tequila business, Casamigos. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Cindy Crawford's husband, Rande Gerber, co-founded Casamigos with George (and is thus friends with Jack!), so the couple will also likely book a flight to England for the wedding.

Long before the days of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry had another true love — and her name was Chelsy Davy. The royal dated the blonde beauty on and off again from 2004 until 2011, but so it turns out, Chelsy allegedly dumped Harry because of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding. The two wed in April 2011, and Chelsy was Harry's date to the special event. However, it was there where she reportedly realized it wasn't going to work out between them. Journalist Angela Levin penned in her royal biography, Harry: Conversations with the Prince, that all the attention Kate and William got that day proved to Chelsy she couldn't be the wife of a prince. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) "A friend revealed that seeing the enormity and pomp of the day convinced Chelsy that she and Harry had been right to separate," she wrote. Before Prince William started dating Kate Middleton after they met in college, the 35-year-old royal had a few ex-girlfriends. That's right, before Will was a married dad-of-three, he played the field, just like the rest of us. But after many of those failed relationships, he found love with the Duchess of Cambridge at the University of St Andrews in the early 2000s. In a previous interview, William gushed about his first few years dating Kate. "We just spent more time together, we had a good giggle and realized we shared some interests," he once said. "She has a normal sense of humor which is really good for me because I’ve got a dead sense of humor, and things happened." Aww! However, Prince William's love life pre-marriage was a little less extensive than his brother Prince Harry's. The red-headed royal wed Meghan Markle on May 19, but before they began dating,...

Just when we thought royal wedding fever was starting to die down, we get wind of this! As anyone who watched on May 19 knows, Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy showed up to his nuptials looking all sorts of salty that she wasn’t the bride-to-be. That said, the two have remained friends over the years, and seeing as British monarchs are painfully polite, it only makes sense that she was there. However, it turns out that the story of her invitation is a lot more ~scandalous~ than we thought. According to Vanity Fair, the former teenage sweethearts shared an emotional phone call days prior to Harry tying the knot. "It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on," a source told Vf. "Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding.
