Celebrated film director Sriram Raghavan, who's film 'Andhadhun' has been selected for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (Iffm), on Saturday said that the leading lady of the film Tabu did not check every scene on the monitor after shooting and that the director always wanted to work with her.
Sharing his work experience with Tabu, Raghavan said, "I generally start thinking about the cast once the scripting is done but Tabu I had in mind even while writing the character. She was cool when I approached her. She also used to get zapped by the character while I was narrating. She is one person who doesn't look at the monitor after each and every scene. She is beyond professional and instinctive."
"I used to trip on Tabu as an actor so getting a chance to work with her and also the film doing great is nice," he added.

Filmmaker Saurabh Varma is all geared up for his upcoming movie 7 Hours To Go starring Shiv Pandit, Sandeepa Dhar, Natasa Stankovic and Varun Badola. The movie is slated to release on June 24. Saurabh Varma agrees to the fact that unlike his last movie Vicky Donor he doesn’t have a popular star backing the film like John Abraham or even a successful writer-director-producer Anand L Rai who took Nil Baatey Sannata to the silver screen but what he does have is a story which is different and inspired by real life events.
“You can’t underestimate the power of a star but Bollywood A-listers only work with a limited set of filmmakers. Directors like me have to prove ourselves to get access to the stars.” Said Saurabh. He also said that his actors aren’t supposed to be taken lightly, 7 Hours To Go is made by a group of underdogs and underestimated actors.

New Delhi, Oct 28: As many as six films released last Friday, but none of them could excite the viewers at the box office.
"Mickey Virus", which marked the debut of actors Manish Paul and Elli Avram in Bollywood, was the most talked about movie among those that released Oct 25. But the buzz wasn't sufficient to make the audiences catch the film.
"'Mickey Virus' collected Rs.4.75 crore (early estimates) net in its opening weekend," posted trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter.
Directed by Saurabh Varma, the comedy-thriller has been made on a budget of Rs.11 crore, inclusive of publicity and advertising.
Other movies that hit the theatres Friday were Shekhar Ghosh's "Sooper Se Ooper" starring Vir Das, Gulshan.

Film: "Mickey Virus"; Cast: Manish Paul, Eli Avram, Varun Badola, Manish Choudhary; Director: Saurabh Varma; Rating: ***1/2
"Mickey Virus" is Bollywood's first full-fledged film on the virtual world. The hero -if we may call Manish Paul's languid lazy vagabondish character that - is a computer hacker, and one who likes to take his time over every punch of the keyboard.
Mercifully, debutant director Saurabh Varma's film moves in a mood defiantly opposite to the hero's indolent indiscretions. Tightly-scripted, cleverly-worded and arrestingly encrypted, "Mickey Virus" drags the hackers' hemisphere into the hectic mode.
I am tempted to use computer jargon to describe the ultra-svelte moves that define the virtual progression.
