Created by Alan Ball and inspired by The Southern Vampire Mysteries, a series of novels by Charlaine Harris, the TV series True Blood ran on HBO for seven seasons, from 2008 to 2014, ending up with a total of 80 episodes. 42 of those episodes featured Joe Manganiello as the werewolf character Alcide Herveaux. Introduced in season 3, Alcide was only supposed to be a guest star for that particular season – but he proved to be so popular with viewers, he was kept around… until season 7, when he was killed off. Not surprisingly, Manganiello wasn’t happy with the way his character went out. In fact, he was so displeased with Alcide being killed off, he feels he still has unfinished werewolf business to this day.
During an interview on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, Manganiello said (with thanks to The Hollywood Reporter for the transcription), “I thought there was so much left on the table for me.

In order to start things over, Gunn recently decided to reboot the DC Cinematic Universe in The Flash movie. As a result, we saw a lot of actors bid farewell to their roles.
James Gunn talked to Joe Manganiello about his future as Deathstroke
Although he did not have a big part in the Dceu, Joe Manganiello portrayed the iconic role of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke in Jack Snyder’s Justice League in 2017. After his cameo appearance in the movie, Manganiello was supposed to play the primary villain of Ben Affleck‘s Batman movie, but that project was eventually scrapped.

Although it seemed like the Dceu was down for the count after the theatrical release of Justice League in 2017, the universe found more solid footing in several films afterward. However, one thread they didn’t get to pick up on was the tease of Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke in the post-credits scene in which Jesse Eisenberg returned as Lex Luthor and proposed a league of their own. The Dceu has officially concluded with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and James Gunn’s reign with his Dcu will be kickstarting with Superman: Legacy.
However, ComicBook.com reveals that Manganiello now has a new opportunity to continue his Slade Wilson incarnation despite the Dceu being dissolved. When Affleck’s in-universe version of The Batman fell through, in which Deathstroke was set to appear as the main antagonist, Manganiello wrote his own Deathstroke screenplay, which reportedly was well-received at Warner Bros. before the big studio shake-up.

Los Angeles, Feb 10 (Ians) Former couple Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello have reached an agreement to finalise their divorce.
According to a filing obtained by People.com, on Friday, the divorce case is proceeding as an uncontested action, meaning both parties appeared and “entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage … which is being or has been submitted to the court.”
Manganiello asked the court to terminate spousal support for both parties and attorney fees will be ordered as set forth in the proposed judgment, per the docs.
The former couple announced their split in July in a joint statement. They tied the knot in November 2015 and had been married seven years when they shared the news.
Two days after the joint statement, Manganiello filed for divorce from the America’s Got Talent host, citing “irreconcilable differences.” He listed the date of separation as July 2 and noted they had a prenup.

Actress Sofia Vergara has shed more light on her divorce from Joe Manganiello.
The actress revealed that she and Manganiello, 47, weren’t on the same page when it came to expanding their family.
She said the difference ultimately led to their divorce, reports People magazine.
In a new interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais, Sofia, 51, said: “My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore.”
Sofia, who shares son Manolo with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez, continued: “I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother. So, if love comes along, he has to come with (his own) children. I’m almost in menopause; it’s the natural way of things.

"Everybody wants one!" Shout Studios has unveiled a second trailer for a wacky, extra dark comedy / crime thriller mashup titled The Kill Room, arriving in theaters nationwide next week. The first trailer arrived during the summer. Looks like it could be a hit! The sneaky crime plot is about a hitman (Manganiello), his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman), and their money laundering scheme that turns the hitman into an overnight, avant garde art sensation (called "The Bagman"), forcing the dealer to play the art world against the underworld. Everyone comes together for one big showdown at the most unlikeliest, yet perfect place for them all - The Miami Art Fair. Uma Thurman stars with Joe Manganiello, Samuel L. Jackson, Debi Mazar, Maya Hawke, Dree Hemingway, Amy Keum, Candy Buckley, Larry Pine, Jennifer Kim, & Alexander Sokovikov. The film seems like a fun riff on how ridiculous the art world is,...

Another joke was made about the 51-year-old actress being single, and she wasn’t having it.
Sofía Vergara didn’t exactly enjoy being in the hot seat… or the “tot seat” rather. On Wednesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent, the 51-year-old judge was asked to take a lie detector test by fellow judge Simon Cowell while sitting on a throne made of tater tots in honor of the competition show’s sponsor, Sonic.
The actress was accused of lying during the test multiple times, especially when asked by fellow judge Heidi Klum if Cowell was like a sweet puppy. She did claim to enjoy working on America’s Got Talent more than Modern Family, which the lie detector proved to be true.

Julie Bowen knows her “Modern Family” co-star Sofía Vergara will be just fine following her divorce from Joe Manganiello.
It was revealed that Vergara and Manganiello — who tied the knot in 2015 — had called it quits after seven years of marriage last month.
E! News caught up with Bowen — who played Claire Dunphy alongside Vergara’s Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the hit show — with her saying of the pair hitting the dance floor on a girls’ night out in the near future, “I would like that very much.
“Oh, but she would be so mad at me because I can’t dance. She’s such a good dancer. She just does this slow hip roll for hours. And that’s a lot of what hanging out with her is — it’s slow rolling it for a long time.”

According to People magazine, the 46-year old was spotted in Los Angeles running errands after a workout while carrying the former couple’s dog Bubbles on Saturday.
He was no longer wearing a wedding ring in the wake of the split.

"Tell me about The Bagman!" Shout Studios has revealed a trailer for a kooky dark comedy / crime thriller mashup called The Kill Room, from a comedian-filmmaker named Nicol Paone. The Kill Room marks the first time Thurman and Jackson have teamed since their Oscar-nominated performances in Pulp Fiction (in 1994). The sneaky crime plot is about a hitman (Manganiello), his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman), and their money laundering scheme that accidentally turns the hitman into an overnight, avant garde art sensation (called "The Bagman"), forcing the dealer to play the art world against the underworld. Everyone eventually comes together for one big showdown at the most unlikeliest, yet perfect place for them - The Miami Art Fair. Uma Thurman stars with Joe Manganiello, Samuel L. Jackson, Debi Mazar, Maya Hawke, Dree Hemingway, Amy Keum, Candy Buckley, Larry Pine, Jennifer Kim, & Alexander Sokovikov. This actually looks like a clever riff...
