Dr. Andrew Ordon, M.D., F.A.C.S., co-stars on the syndicated and Emmy
Nominated (Outstanding Talk Show-Informative),
The Doctors (2008). Dr. Ordon was
hand-picked for the show by Dr. Phil McGraw,
who refers to Dr. Ordon as "the governor of plastic surgery" and the
"plastic surgeon to the stars". No stranger to television, Dr. Ordon
has been featured on major television shows, including
20/20 (1978),
Entertainment Tonight (1981),
"Inside Hollywood", BBC,
48 Hours (1988), NBC News, ABC News
and "The Hollywood 411". He has been quoted in such publications as
Allure, Mademoiselle, Redbook, Glamour and Prevention. Dr. Ordon is
also the author of "Revealing the New You, A Guide to Plastic Surgery"
and "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Plastic Surgery". He
also contributed to one of the best textbooks, in the field of plastic
surgery, entitled "Facial Aesthetic Plastic Surgery". In addition, Dr.
Ordon has an extensive list of papers, presentations and honors to his
credit. One of Dr. Ordon's greatest accomplishments has been as a
founding member of the "Surgical Friends Foundation". "Surgical
Friends" is comprised of a group of doctors who offer complimentary
reconstructive surgery to those, both domestically and abroad, whom
otherwise could not afford medical treatment. Many of these patients
have suffered from birth defects, physical abuse and burns, among other
adverse conditions. For over two decades, Dr. Ordon has been an
acclaimed surgeon in the area of aesthetic plastic and reconstructive
surgery, with a private practice in New York City and, now, in Beverly
Hills and Rancho Mirage. He has built a reputation through his
commitment to the enhancement of individualized natural beauty. Dr.
Ordon is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California,
Irvine, where he earned his undergraduate degree with Honors in
Biological Sciences. He then received his medical degree from the USC
School of Medicine with Honors in Medicine. His General Surgery and
Head and Neck Surgery training were completed at USC, UCLA and Loma
Linda, respectively. He then completed his training program in Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital /
Manhattan Eye and Ear Infirmary Program in New York City. Affiliated
with Cornell University and NYU, this program is recognized as one of
the oldest and most renowned centers for Aesthetics and Reconstructive
Surgery in the world. Dr. Ordon is an Assistant Clinical Professor of
Plastic Surgery at Dartmouth Medical College and the UCLA School of
Medicine. His hospital affiliations include the UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Ordon is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the
American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the International
Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Double Boarded Society of
Plastic Surgeons and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons. In
addition, he is a Diplomate with the American Board of Plastic Surgery,
the American Board of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery, the
American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the National Board of Medical
Examiners. He is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons, the
International College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Ordon performs all procedures
