Mandy Moore is entering her Rebecca Pearson era. The former This Is Us star took to Instagram on Friday to announce that she’s pregnant with her third child, and you’d better believe she used the opportunity to reference her Emmy-winning drama series.
“Sometimes life imitates art,” Moore wrote in her caption. “The third in our own Big Three coming soon. Can’t wait for these boys to have a baby sister.” This is Moore’s third child with husband Taylor Goldsmith. Their sons were born in February 2021 and October 2022, respectively.

Since the final curtain dropped on This Is Us in 2022, viewers still can’t emotionally let go of the fictional Pearson family. The NBC series continues to stream on Hulu, attracting new followers who’ve become deeply involved in its heartfelt, family-centric storylines. Three of the series’ actors reunited to celebrate a never-seen on TV major life moment, giving viewers the feels all over again.
‘This Is Us’ stars celebrate a major life moment
Many This Is Us actors continue to celebrate the close bond they forged throughout the six seasons of the titular NBC family drama. Therefore, it was a pleasant surprise when three reunited to celebrate a significant life moment that tragically wasn’t played out on the series.
Milo Ventimiglia, who played Pearson family patriarch Jack, attended the college graduation of his TV son Niles Fitch (Randall Pearson). The duo was joined by Hannah Zeile, who portrayed Kate Pearson.

Do all the touchdown dances you want, but know that there’s at least person — aside from, uh, the San Francisco 49ers — for whom Super Bowl Sunday carries the acrid tang of dreams gone up in smoke.

The discovery that their house is haunted by a ghost named Ernest makes Kevin’s family a social media sensation. But when Kevin and Ernest get to the bottom of the mystery of Ernest’s past, they become targets of the CIA.
There was a certain sense of charm, wonder, and childlike optimism brimming all throughout Christopher Landon’s We Have a Ghost that I couldn’t get enough of. In many ways, this is a film that is heavily inspired by Steven Spielberg’s filmography, most notably E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. Heck, at times it might even borrow from that film too much, but I love that Landon was hugely inspired by so many great projects for this film.

Review: We Have A Ghost is the quintessential Neflix movie: a solid budget, recognizable actors in supporting roles, and some fresh-faced teen talent performing for a talented director. It also is overlong and does not seem to have any oversight on what should have been trimmed from its excessive running time. Christopher Landon’s movie is a mash-up of Ghostbusters, Harry and the Hendersons, and E.T. Writer/Director Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) evokes the family-friendly Amblin movies of yesterday for his latest, Netflix’s We Have a Ghost. Wearing its formative gateway horror influences on its sleeves, We Have a Ghost blends nostalgic family adventure-induced charm with Landon’s distinct ability to render authentic characters to an affecting degree. While it threatens to overstay its welcome, the tender adventure delivers ghostly charm, poignant family bonds, and humor that’ll appeal to new generations of budding genre fans.

"Amblin-esque" is a term that gets thrown around a lot, and it mostly means "This movie/TV show features kids on bikes." But "We Have a Ghost," a sweet-natured family-friendly haunted house pic from "Freaky" director Christopher Landon, really has that Amblin vibe going for it. Were it not for some very modern social media-based jokes, it feels like "We Have a Ghost" could've easily fit into the late '80s and early '90s, when Steven Spielberg reigned supreme and everyone was trying to ape his style and, for lack of a better word, brand. Indeed, "We Have a Ghost" feels like the result of decades of Amblin-like pics and their various clones. It owes more than a few things to movies like "E.T.", "Poltergeist," "Beetlejuice," and even, believe it or not, the "Casper" movie from 1995.

News of a fresh horror comedy from Christopher Landon, director of the joyously silly “Happy Death Day” and its sequel, should be greeted with cautious optimism at the very least. He’s been working in the space for some time now, having also co-written and directed “Freaky,” “Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse” and the more straightforward “Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones,” and understands how to thread that particular needle better than most. His latest feels like both a natural next step and also something of a departure: a family-friendly haunted-house story releasing on Netflix. Unlike his previous efforts, however, “We Have a Ghost” fails to capture what makes this particular genre hybrid so much fun.

Happy Death Day and Freaky director Christopher Landon’s Amblin-style family adventure We Have a Ghost offers paranormal thrills to balance the heart.
That heart comes via its central protagonist, Kevin Presley (Jahi Winston), a musically inclined teen at odds with his dad, Frank (Anthony Mackie). Kevin’s disillusioned with the family’s latest fresh start, including the fixer-upper Frank bought. The teen is the first to discover that their new home doesn’t just look haunted; it is haunted. Finding a ghost named Ernest (David Harbour) transforms the Presleys as their encounters turn viral on social media, sparking a wild adventure.
Ahead of the film’s release on Netflix on February 24, Bloody Disgusting spoke with Winston and Mackie about their roles and the challenges, revealing their opposing opinions on horror.

Filmmaker Christopher Landon loves a good scare. But while the man behind such contemporary horror hits as five (!!) of the “Paranormal Activity” films, “Happy Death Day,” “Freaky,” and “Viral” is best associated with his terrifying stuff, he’s got other tricks and treats on his mind.
Landon’s latest film, the Netflix outing “We Have a Ghost,” which he wrote and directed, smacks of horror — it follows a family, including Anthony Mackie, Erica Ash, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, and Niles Fitch, who move into a new house and discover it comes complete with a ghost, played by David Harbour — it’s also a bit more family-friendly, certainly funny, and driven by ideas about what happens when something gets big on the internet. It’s another evolution for Landon, who seems more than ready to subvert expectations when it comes to what he’s interested in making.

Jennifer Coolidge has lived many lives on screen, one of her latest being in Netflix’s upcoming film We Have a Ghost. Judging by her fear-stricken reaction to seeing an actual ghost, the psychic medium she plays, Judy Romano, is the kind of supernatural communicator who hopes they never actually have to come in contact with the supernatural.
It doesn’t help that the ghost at hand, a wronged family man named Ernest (David Harbour), is in cahoots with a teenager named Kevin (Jahi Di’Allo Winston), whose family moved into a haunted house.

In the mood for a good haunting but don’t want to be scared?
Then, you might want to check out the new trailer for We Have a Ghost. The comedy is a Netflix original starring the streaming service’s Stranger Things star, David Harbour, and Anthony Mackie. The movie looks to have a fun twist on the typical tropes of a family moving into a new home in a new town that knows of rumors of an apparition in said home. Harbour’s spectre is the friendliest ghost outside of Casper and hijinks ensue when he and Mackie’s family start co-existing as local celebrities.
The official Netflix synopsis reads,
“Ernest the ghost, discovered by the homeowner who named him that because the apparation looks like Ernest Borgnine. The homeowner Frank, begins filming his ghost and posting it for the world to see on social media. Ernest becomes a viral sensation.

Happy Death Day / Freaky director Christopher Landon is trying to do something in the classic Amblin style with his new movie We Have a Ghost, and we’ll have the chance to see how this experiment has turned out when the film is released through the Netflix streaming service on February 24th. In the meantime, Empire has unveiled the first image from We Have a Ghost, which offers a look at the characters played by Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and David Harbour (Stranger Things). You can check it out at the bottom of this article.

Grammy- and Oscar-winning songwriter and producer Finneas O’Connell has several titles to his name — and thanks to “The Fallout,” film composer is now one of them. “Being a first-timer on this was just trying a million different things,” he tells Gold Derby in a new webchat (watch the exclusive video interview above). “To just do a good job, I did twice as much composing as ended up in the movie.”
The feature film debut for writer/director Megan Park, “The Fallout” premiered at the 2021 South by Southwest Film Festival and was released on HBO Max on January 27 of this year. The coming-of-age drama follows high schooler Vada Cavell (Jenna Ortega) as she navigates the devastating, emotional fallout from a deadly shooting at her school and the ripple effect the latter has on her relationships with friends and family. In the South by Southwest breakout “The Fallout,” which was released on HBO Max on January 27, Jenna Ortega takes on her first leading role in a film. The feature film debut for writer/director Megan Park, the coming-of-age drama follows the actor as Vada Cavell, a high schooler who navigates the devastating, emotional fallout from a deadly shooting at her school and the ripple effect the latter has on her relationships with friends and family. Even though Ortega understood the responsibility she had as No. 1 on the call sheet in terms of setting the tone on set, she “didn’t perceive it too differently [from] being any other number on the call sheet,” as she tells Gold Derby in a new webchat (watch our exclusive video interview above). “The weight of No. 1 wasn’t necessarily so much in place on set, I feel like the weight was more in performance and...

Aww, a son after his mom’s heart.
Sterling K. Brown posted a heartfelt message on Instagram that not only served as an excellent promo for the last few episodes of This is Us, but also was a wake-up call to Emmy voters. It’s time, Brown says, to give co-star Mandy Moore her due.
Moore plays Rebecca Pearson, the mother of Randall (Brown).
“This grown woman Mandy Moore … anybody who votes in the academy, anybody who’s got a say in what happens, Mandy Moore is killing the game, son. She is killing the game and she deserves to be recognized,” said Brown. “[My] fellow Aries, we roll deep, we roll hard and together, man that woman. Y’all, she’s eight years younger than me and she play my momma. There’s never a moment on set, where I’m like, ‘Mandy Moore is too young to play my momma.

"What are you feeling right now?" "I feel... mad." Warner Bros has unveiled an official trailer for the indie film The Fallout, marking the feature directorial debut of actress Megan Park. This first premiered at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival last year, and will be debuting streaming on HBO Max later this month. The film deals with the "fallout" of a school shooting - focusing on one young student named Vada who struggles with all the overwhelming emotions afterwards. Relationships with her family, friends and view of the world are forever altered. In the process, she befriends another student named Mia, who she had never been friends with before. Jenna Ortega co-stars with Maddie Ziegler, and a cast including Niles Fitch, Will Ropp, John Ortiz, Julie Bowen, and Shailene Woodley. This and Mass are the only films so far that honestly and appropriately deal with the crisis of school shootings in America.
