Before the match could even begin, all four Superstars engaged in a massive melee with WWE officials, including SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who was attempting to break up the brawl. A fed up Aldis decided to forgo the original tag team rules, turning the bout into a Street Fight. The chaos only heightened with the introduction of weapons including Kendo sticks, trash cans, tables and even the Prime hydration station being used as instruments of destruction. Both teams traded blows with Owens splashing Tonga through a table while Sikoa nearly simultaneously put Orton through a table with a Samoan Drop.

The attacker revealed himself to be none other than “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, as he paved the way for The Emperor of Lucha Libre to pick up the victory over the legendary luchador.

Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, is on the verge of making a comeback to the wrestling world. His match with The American Nightmare, also known as Cody Rhodes, has certainly attracted a lot of attention towards WrestleMania 40.
Produced by WWE, WrestleMania 40 is the upcoming professional wrestling event which will be held two nights- April 6 and April 7. This is the first WrestleMania since the formation of the Tko Group Holdings after the WWE was merged with UFC. This happened after Endeavor bought the former company in 2023, and implies that in addition to the WWE players, UFC players will also be joining the event this year.
While The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes is one of the most highly anticipated matches of WrestleMania 40, here are 5 other matches (via WWE) that will keep you hooked.

Everybody knows that Logan Paul has no filter. The reigning WWE United States Champion doesn’t shy away from bringing his trademark boldness to his promos.
From body shaming Kevin Owens to posting viral semi-nude pictures with the US Championship, Paul has evidenced his tendency to act without censorship and restraint.
That said, Paul once again made a bizarre statement, months ahead of his brother Jake Paul’s much-talked-about boxing match with the legendary “Iron” Mike Tyson. However, this time, Paul went a little overboard with his Nsfw phrasing. So, what did ‘The Maverick’ say?
Logan Paul drops a bizarre comment ahead of Jake Paul’s clash with Mike Tyson
The Paul brothers are infamous for their satirical content online. Make no mistake, they also have a lot of talent to back it up. Not only are Logan Paul and Jake Paul consummate showmen, but they are also legitimate fighters.

The Lwo is still reeling from Santos Escobar’s brutal betrayal, and now they must deal with the added threat of Angel and Humberto. Escobar’s newest teammates sent a message by defeating Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro and doing it in a controversial fashion. As the Superstars battled inside the ring, Carlito appeared and attacked Escobar, but it led to more problems for Wilde and Del Toro. Welcome to this week’s Nwa: Power review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m back to reviewing the National Wrestling Alliance every week. It is nice to be back at the original wrestling league/body and its World Title, which is the only championship that actually means anything. I’m going to be honest with you here. I don’t give a s—t about the other wrestling leagues. I care about the wrestlers and the matches, but promotions don’t matter to me. The only exception is The Nwa, since it is the original and the source of the vast majority of wrestling history. There isn’t a moment in WWE history that isn’t eclipsed in some manner by the most fleeting instance in the glory years of The Nwa. I wish Billy Corgan would start showing The Nwa the proper respect. I wanted to talk to you about violence. When people watch violence, that doesn’t make them violent. Violence is wanting to be violent and then choosing to be violent. When you watch wrestling, you are watching it because you want to watch wrestling. Watching wrestling doesn’t always have a meaning besides wanting to watch wrestling. Wrestling can be fun, but we should always remember that wrestling can hurt the people that do it, because it is violent. When wrestlers get hurt, that’s not your fault. However, you should always try to empathize with them when they are in pain. Mr. Robinson: Hello boys and girls! I’m in pain listening to this old-ass...

Welcome to this week’s Nwa: Powerrr review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Power is back! I’m not spelling it with the dumb triple r thing. I hate the way Pumpkin Boy books the Nwa. I have a feeling we’ll get more of the same with the return of Powerrr, but at least the Nwa was not sold to Vince McMahon (that we know of). Dokken’s “Into the Fire” is back as the theme. Don’t f—k with Dokken! With that, I say it’s time to get right to it. Nwa: Power starts…go fish!

Welcome to this debut review of the National Wrestling Alliance’s newest weekly show, Nwa: Shockwave. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a different kind of review to get to here on Nerdly. Rather than just speak for the matches, why not let them speak for themselves? Below are the three matches that made up this debut:
Eli Drake def. Jordan Cruz Kamile def. Heath Monroe Nwa Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match: Nick Aldis def. Mike Bennett
Let us have these three matches duke it out in an effort to show why they should get a great rating and why they deserve to be called, “The Match Of The Night”.
Drake/Cruz: I had Eli Drake, who is wrestling’s biggest jack-ass to not get in trouble for refusing to sell for a woman. Cruz is Latino, so I get sympathy points! Wham!

Welcome to this season finale of the National Wrestling Alliance’s Powerrr with a special called Super Powerrr. I’m Nathan Favel and you’re on Nerdly, which has been sheltering me ever since I escaped from prison for trying to kill Superman for wearing red underwear over his pants…Like The Doofus That He Is! In the name of the great crab god Metusukla, I hereby claim this review to be…Written!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Match #1: Kamille defeated Maddie Max
My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – Bill Cosby’s wife has to make the bail money some-how. Kamille! Kamille! I don’t want to be in prison! There’s no pudding for the pudding pop! There’s no Kodak film! Neither woman looked bad here, but I wanted more time on the clock, especially for a season finale match.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more from Free Enterprise, because it’s too difficult to tape a new two hour card and split it between two weeks’ worth of one hour shows. Bill Cobbs could kick Sylvester Stallone’s ass and we’re getting right to the action.
Match #1: Brody King def. Rey Horus The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Horus, one-third of the Roh World Six-Man Tag Team Champions, scored some near falls, but in the end the massive King hit a Gonzo Bomb to score an impressive win.
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – This was a hearty fight between two tough guys who made a clash of styles work to their advantage. King is like a poor man’s Chris Hero, which isn’t a bad comparison to make at all. Rey...

Welcome to this week’s Nwa: Powerrr review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is a terrible show. You’ll see why in a second.
Match #1: Zicky Dice defeated Ricky Starks and Matt Cross – Triple Threat Match
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This went about three minutes and was starting to get good, but it got cut off at about three minutes. I’m not s——- you. This only went three minutes. Why even bother watching? What is this, 1985? Who would ever pay for a ticket to a show with a three minute match? The wrestling that did make it in to this flea-sized slit of a match was good, but you’d barely be able see any of it. This was good, but depressing.

Welcome to this week’s National Wrestling Alliance: Powerrr review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is gonna piss you off. Just read the review.
Match #1: Royce Isaacs defeated Andre Guhn
My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – This was two minutes of “hurry up damn it”. This match just wasn’t much to look at.
Match #2: (Main Event) Ricky Starks defeated Zicky Dice – TV Title Match
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This was a taste of what a match at length between these two can do. Why are we just getting a taste? Why not give us fifteen minutes? What, are we not good enough for fifteen minutes? What do we have to do to get the fifteen minutes? Do we have to get down on our knees and lick master clean? Is that it? Master needs a tongue bath? Anyway, this match was as short as my dinky.

Welcome to this review of National Wrestling Alliance: Hard Times, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the finale of the TV Title Tournament, as well as Nick Aldis defending the Nwa World Title against Ring Of Honor’s Flip Gordon. Let’s get right to it.
The following four matches are part of the TV Title Tournament: Match #1: Trevor Murdoch defeated The Question Mark
My Opinion: 2.3 out of 5 – While not a great match, this was a fun way for Murdoch to get a win.
Match #2: Dan Maff defeated Zicky Dice
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a good little match with a lot of hard hits and big slams with the right winner.

Match #1: Thunder Rosa defeated Tasha Steelz
My Opinion: 2.7 out of 5 – This was getting good, but it stopped after just two or so minutes. Why not let this sucker go for a while? Fortunately, this was a case of two women getting a lot in to a small space.
Match #2: Trevor Murdoch defeated Tom Lattimer – TV Title Tournament Match

Welcome to this review of National Wrestling Alliance: Powerrr, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the world would be better off if we stopped using money. Do you really like money? It’s a pain in the ass. My whole dumb plan would be to ask people to just give each other goods and services for free. Don’t wait for the governments to do this, because they won’t. I bet that if people did this for a week, we’d get addicted to that world without money in short order. Yeah, we’d have to re-assess how we live our lives (kiss restaurants and servants bye-bye…mostly), but I have faith that, when the chips are down, people will make the right decisions if you actually let them make the decision for them-selves. What does this have to do with Nwa: Powerrr? Technically,...

Welcome to the first National Wrestling Alliance: Powerrr review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I didn’t choose to name the damn show “Powerrr”. I think the extra “r” or two is there because of coke-lines or something. This show is a one-hour broadcast that is modeled on the old Jim Crockett TV format, so expect nostalgia lined with Punky Brewster hair-gel and Alf condoms, “because he can’t spend all day eating pussy…cat”. This isn’t always a show designed to offer great wrestling, but it does have some great production values and a very lively atmosphere. Let’s get to this time-warped trip through Billy Corgan’s bank account before he smashes my pumpkin.
Match #1: Aron Stevens defeated Sal Rinauro – Submission Challenge Match

Color commentator Jim Cornette has resigned from the National Wrestling Alliance (Nwa) after making racist remarks on a YouTube show.
Cornette was working on Nov 19 for the YouTube wrestling show Nwa Powerrr when he made a comment concerning wrestler Trevor Murdoch. He said Murdoch “is the only man I’ve ever known that can strap a bucket of fried chicken on his back and ride a motor scooter across Ethiopia. Trevor Murdoch can take care of himself!”
Viewers were immediately outraged, and the Nwa pulled the episode and edited out the comment. It issued a statement today on the matter.

I recently had a chance to sit down and talk very quickly to Vince Russo, the former head-writer for WWE back in the late 90’s during the infamous and beloved Attitude Era. He went on to work for WCW and Tna and has been a voice on YouTube and Podcasting in recent years. Controversial or not, Vince Russo left a mark on professional wrestling with his work and I want to thank him for spending a few minutes answering a few of my long-winded questions. So… short and sweet, here’s Nerdly’s quick-fire interview with Vince Russo.

Roh has been having a lot of trouble the past three/four months, so let’s see if they can get back on the horse they’ve fallen off of before they get trampled by it.

Match #1: Nwa National Title Match: Champion Colt Cabana and James Storm wrestled to a 15-minute draw The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Cabana out-wrestled Storm early, which frustrated the challenger. Storm resorted to roughhouse tactics to seize the advantage. Cabana came back with a moonsault for a near fall. Storm connected with a pair of superkicks and then locked on the Texas Cloverleaf. Cabana tried to get to the ropes, but Storm dragged him back to the center of the ring. At that point, the bell rang.

Sam Shaw beat Colt Cabana, Sammy Guevara and Scorpio Sky – Nwa National Championship Tournament Semi-Final Four-Way Elimination Match My Take: 3 out of 5
I’m surprised that Shaw won, but he has gotten a lot better over the years, so at least he can make some-thing of this chance at a success. Cabana would have been the best choice in terms of star power, but since Shaw is the least known of the four, it could be argued that he is now on equal footing with the other three, more established athletes. The match...

Cabana would have been the best choice in terms of star power, but since Shaw is the least known of the four, it could be argued that he is now on equal footing with the other three, more established athletes. The match...

Welcome to this week’s Nerdly Wrestling Awards, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some good wrestling to cover, so let’s do so.
Worst Promo:
Milwaukee Bull-$@!# (Smackdown) – Aiden English told Lana he knew about what she did in Milwaukee. Who cares?
Best Promo:
Ain’t Got No Respect (Impact) – The OGz had an excellent promo where they burnt Konnan’s old luchador mask while promising to destroy Lax at Bound For Glory.
Worst Moment:
Top Prospects Get No Respect (Ring of Honor) – Jeff Cobb was booked to beat the hell out of two more members of the Top Prospect Tournament and it made the two guys look terrible. Trust me when I say, you may not give a $#!% about the Top Prospect tournament after this angle.
Best Moment:
Old School Salesman (Ring of Honor: Death Before Dishonor) – Nick Aldis did a great job...

Welcome to this review of Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor Pay Per View, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have seven matches to get to, so let’s do so.
Match #1: Kenny King beat Jushin Liger
My Take: 3 out of 5
This was a good match that was booked to establish King as a heel, or at least getting closer to it. The action was good but the crowd didn’t seem to care. The crowd became a bit of a problem all night, by the way. Over-all, this was a good opener.
Match #2: The Briscoes (Jay and Mark) beat So-Cal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) – Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles Match
My Take: 3.5 out of 5
This was an excellent match that the crowd had no interest in, for the most part. These two teams worked hard, but couldn’t get...

Wrestling Travel, the World’s only travel company specifically focused on wrestling events and building a wrestling-based community for fans, welcomed the biggest independent wrestling convention in UK history to Manchester and didn’t disappoint!
Wresting MediaCon 2018 took over Bec Arena in Trafford Park for two days of live wrestling shows, superstar panel Q&As, meet & greet opportunities, live YouTube stage shows and welcomed over 1300 people through the doors over the weekend. The fans got up close and personal, meeting two of the most important names in pro-wrestling as Jeff Jarrett and Pat Patterson wowed the crowds whilst Manchesters very own Lana Austin had the biggest opportunity of her career facing Su Yung of Impact Wrestling (see our review of that right here).
There was plenty of action exclusive to the live audience as UK sensation Nick Aldis announced that he’d be invoking his rematch clause against Cody Rhodes.

Welcome to the All In Pay Per View review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a hell of a card to cover, so let’s do so right now!
Match #1: So Cal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) beat The Briscoe Brothers (Jay and Mark) – Tag Team Match
This was the first of two matches for the Wgn portion of All In called Zero Hour. This was an excellent match that the crowd loved. The action was crisp and got the night started off right.
Match #2: The Over The Budget Battle Royal – Winner: Flip Gordon
This had a few surprises like Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer, but the big shock came from Flip Gordon dressed in a mask and winning the match by eliminating Ray. Flip took the mask off and Ray was pissed. The crowd was thrilled that Flip won and so was I.

All In is the biggest independent wrestling show of all-time, if for no other reason than it was booked by the wrestlers and sold out in 30 minutes. Some huge names are on the show, including Iwgp champion Kenny Omega, Roh world champion Jay Lethal, Nwa world champion Nick Aldis, The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes. With so many huge names, this is the one indie show that wrestling fans need to see in 2018. Here is a look at the All In recap and results from this huge show in Chicago. The first two matches did not take place […]

Welcome to the All In prediction column, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is a preview of what may be the biggest wrestling card of the year. I’d also like to thank CBS Sports for providing the card listing that we are working with here. I’m really excited for this one, so let’s get right to it!
Match #1: Moose, Jordynne Grace, Colt Cabana, Ethan Page, Rocky Romero, Brian Cage, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Jacobs, Marko Stunt, Brandon Cutler, Punishment Martinez and others – Over The Budget Battle Royal For A Ring Of Honor World Title Match Later On The Card
Appearing on the Zero Hour portion of the card that will air on Wgn, this match will be a fun spectacle. I think they’ll go with Punishment Martinez to win this match.
Match #2: The Briscoes vs. So-Cal Uncensored – Tag Team Match
