Why Watch? This short from Andrew Crabtree just won the Critic’s Choice award at the No Budget Film Festival by proving that all you need for a great movie is two people, a room and pictures of flower arrangements. It’s an instantly engaging (yet brief) chronicle of an engaged couple losing their patience and flinging their insecurities wildly at one another that channels The Office both in structure and dramedic tone. There are a lot of things to praise here — crisp visuals, a script natural to the point of feeling improvised — but Emma Fassler and Phil Daddario are the true standouts as they create well-rounded characters in a very small amount of time. They share laboratory levels of chemistry, making this a funny, slightly uncomfortable delight.
