As I’m sure you’re all more than aware, Fringe returned tonight after a painfully long summer hiatus with a premiere that, in many ways, felt like a pilot. “Neither Here Nor There” serves the function of introducing us to this new, confusing world wherein Peter Bishop, to quote the enigmatic Observers, “never existed”.
Even after all these months, I’m still no closer to figuring out quite what it means to say Peter never existed. Initially, I had a huge problem with this in terms of consistency and plot (not to mention that I like the character). I’d have a hard time believing Walter would be willing to tear a hole between the universes unless it was to save his son. Thankfully, tonight’s episode (maybe) cleared that up a little bit: I now take it to mean that Peter did actually exist, he just never “lived...

Dutch dance-music star is giving one lucky fan chance to have him attend his or her house party.

Boom, Belgium — MTV News was graciously invited to attend one of Europe's largest dance-music gatherings this past weekend: Boom, Belgium's Tomorrowland Festival. Rivaling the size of Las Vegas' Electric Daisy Carnival and Miami's Ultra Music Festival, the 7-year-old Tomorrowland, which started out with just 10,000 attendees, swelled to around 180,000 fans and campers this year. They descended upon 14 stages for their pick of the litter of the fest's 469 performing DJs.
Easily one of the most recognized names in dance music today, electronic dance-music icon Tiësto was among the headliners of the three-day dance-a-thon. Unlike Friday night headlining pals Swedish House Mafia or Sunday night's performance by crossover star David Guetta, Tiësto had rainy weather to deal with. But in a testament to just how popular the Dutch DJ/producer,...

Dinner for Schmucks
Opens: July 23rd 2010
Cast: Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis, Bruce Greenwood, David Walliams
Director: Jay Roach
Summary: A renowned publisher encourages his friends to invite the most pathetic guests possible for their weekly dinner party. Just as they find the most pathetic man yet, the host is injured and ends up trapped with the man all night long.
Analysis: A remake of director Francis Veber's 1998 César award-winning "Le Diner des cons", 'Schmucks' is one of the highest profile comedies of next year with one of the strongest casts for the genre in recent memory. It also marks the return of "Austin Powers" and "Meet the Parents" helmer Jay Roach who has produced several films in recent years but hasn't directed since 2004's "Meet the Fockers".
The question now lies not in the performers or director but the material itself and whether a Gallic comedy can...

Chicago – Majesco’s “Wonder World Amusement Park” for the Nintendo DS is a pleasurable diversion but could just as easily be deemed by some buyers to be a wasted opportunity to be something more. Ultimately, for a low purchase price and a game targeted at kids, it’s hard to complain too much about a title that will likely satisfy its target audience.
Reviewing a title like “Wonder World Amusement Park” can be difficult. Anyone with even casual gaming skills will burn through the “plot” of the game in under an hour. If you like detail, character, and story, then this is not the title for you. It’s merely a collection of mini-games, something that will be challenging for little kids and an occasional diversion for the older ones.

Could “Amusement Park” have been a little more diverse in its mini-game design and a little more in-depth?...
