Some cliche somewhere said that ‘a picture is worth a thousand words.’ This has proven to be the case for me and especially when it comes to fan art. I have always sought out great fan art and have wanted to share it with as many people as possible. “Awesome Art We’ve Found Around The Net” is the outlet for that passion. In this column, I will showcase the kick-ass artwork of some great artists, with the hopes that these artists get the attention they deserve. That’s the aim. If you have any questions or comments, or even suggestions of art or other great artists, feel free to contact me at any time at theodorebond@joblo.com.

For those who have watched “Mozart in the Jungle” you’ve probably seen Dermot Mulroney as world-renowned cello soloist Andrew Walsh. The actor, known for such films and series as “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” “Shameless” and “The Wedding Date,” really is a professional musician who picked up the cello at the age of seven.
As his acting career took off, music was put to the side until he became an established actor. Now, Mulroney’s most recent work as a cellist is being part of Michael Giacchino’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” score, where he held the 11th seat in the cello section, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Mulroney and Giacchino first met at the premiere of the 2005 rom-com “The Family Stone,” which Mulroney starred and Giacchino scored.

Amazon has dropped the third season trailer for its Golden Globe-winning comedic drama series Mozart in the Jungle. It picks up with Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal) taking on a brand new artistic challenge: conducting the great opera diva Alessandra (Monica Bellucci) in her long-awaited return concert in Venice, Italy. In his weekly New York Time column last week, the New York Times’ wine expert Eric Asimov wrote about how to pick a wine store. He stressed that if a person cared about wine and wanted to drink better and more confidently, the best thing one can do is to find a good wine store and then cultivate a good relationship with the staff.
There’s an enormous amount of choices for wine and good stores help consumers select and choose more wisely. They might do this with the way they arrange the wines, or with a friendly and knowledgeable staff or even through handwritten recommendations placed near the wine.
As I reach this wine column, I was drawing the inevitable parallels between wine stores and comics shops. Geek culture also offers such a diverse tapestry of choices. It can be difficult for fans and consumers to navigate through it...

New York CIty, 1981, is a blasted moral hellscape against which a very primal struggle for survival unfolds in a very tense thirty days, all for the right to supply homes with heating oil. J. C. Chandor's "A Most Violent Year" is a powerfully told story, a thrilling surprise, and both Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain do remarkable work as a couple trying to close a deal that will turn their heating oil company into a much larger overall business, the deal they've been working their whole lives to prepare. This one particular month starts with them confident, convinced they're going to take things to the next level, and it unfolds with them increasingly unsure that they're going to pull it off. It is a movie about an entire city conspiring to test a marriage, and the way this one particular couple fights their way through. This is a great screenplay first and foremost.

Dismayed by the way the professional game is heading, a group of Manchester United fans set up their own club five years ago. They don't have a ground and their striker is a tiler on £80 a week, but already Fc United is the focus of passionate local support. Here, an astonished fan charts their remarkable rise from small-fry idealists to Fa Cup giant-killers
It was a sight Manchester has seen many times before. Hordes of fans wearing red, white and black scarves, piling off a late-night train at Victoria, after a November night fixture away from home. Triumphant chants reverberating around the station forecourt. Dancing football players in red pictured on the front page of the newspaper the next day. Not unfamiliar stuff in a city that sees itself as the "new Milan" of world football. But there was one crucial difference.
This time the headlines made no reference to the reds of Manchester United.
