(March 31, 1982) Her only child, a son named Jay Panzirer with her 1st husband Leo Panzirer (who made her a grandmother of 4) died of a heart attack resulting from arrhythmia at the age of 42.
Following her death, she was entombed with her husband Harry Helmsley in a mausoleum constructed for 1.4 million and set on 3/4 acres in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Westchester Country, New York. Among the few distinctive features of the mausoleum are three wall-embedded stained-glass windows showing the sky.
