Charlie Carver doesn’t leave much to the imagination in his new ad campaign for queer-owned fragrance and candle company Boy Smells.
The video and print campaign, a queer parody of the Garden of Eden called “Nurture Your Nature,” stars “The Batman” actor as “Gay Adam” and “Hacks” standout Meg Stalter as “Bisexual Eve.” Carver wears nothing but a pair of gold booty shorts. His toned body glistens as he and Stalter feed each other pieces of fruit. A live python swings from a tree above them.
Proceeds from Boy Smells’ Marble Fruit Candle and Genderful Fine fragrance benefit LGBTQ organization Glsen throughout June and July.
“It’s joyful, silly and sexy in a way that’s self-aware,” Carver tells me. “To me, that is what queerness sort of is, the freedom to play, the freedom to be yourself.”
While the campaign doesn’t take itself so seriously, Carver is...

Director Matt Reeves reboots DC’s signature superhero franchise with this new start-from-scratch Batman adventure, starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader. Conceived as the first instalment of a new trilogy, it’s a comics-savvy Bat-thriller that gets almost everything right.
Taking inspiration from classic Batman story The Long Halloween, The Batman begins two years into billionaire Bruce Wayne’s (Pattinson) “Gotham Project”, whereby he patrols the streets of Gotham City at night, dishing out vigilante justice while dressed as a bat. In doing so, he’s earned the trust of Police Lieutenant James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), who fires up the Bat-signal whenever there’s a crime requiring The Batman’s attention.

The cast of MTV's Teen Wolf assembled Friday as part of the network's new digital brand Reunions.
The event brought Tyler Posey (Scott McCall), Dylan O’Brien (Stiles Stilinski), and Holland Roden (Lydia Martin) back together.
They were joined by fellow Teen Wolf stars Orny Adams (Coach Finstock), Linden Ashby (Noah Stilinski), Ian Bohen (Peter Hale), Charlie Carver (Ethan), Max Carver (Aiden), Arden Cho (Kira Yukimura), Cody Christian (Theo Raeken), Shelley Hennig (Malia Tate), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall), Khylin Rhambo (Mason Hewitt), and Dylan Sprayberry (Liam Dunbar) to talk about the beloved series.
While there was lots to talk about, the cast was asked to share what they took from the set when the series wrapped production, and well, we're a little surprised at what some of them got away with.
Ponzio revealed she asked the art department to print out a map of Beacon Hills, and they agreed to do so.

Welcome back to the Weekend Warrior, your weekly look at the new movies hitting theaters this weekend, as well as other cool events and things to check out.
This Past Weekend:
The Lego Batman Movie won the weekend as expected, but not with nearly as much money as I had predicted, not besting the opening of The Lego Movie as expected, but instead ending up with a reasonable and not so bad $53 million. Fifty Shades Darker proved that the audience for movies based on the popular books was still great enough for it to win Friday with $21 million (to Lego Batman’s $15 million) and end up second for the weekend with a strong $46.6 million. That was still almost $40 million less than the opening of the previous movie Fifty Shades of Grey, but the sequel also didn’t have the benefits of Valentine’s Day and a four-day holiday. After successfully refocusing its G.I. Joe franchise around Dwayne Johnson’s Roadblock in 2013’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Paramount is again prepping to dive back into the world of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow with G.I. Joe 3. DJ Caruso recently became attached to direct the blockbuster threequel, and now we’re hearing rumors that point to a pair of fan favorites as the villains for the pic.
According to the sometimes-reliable Film Divider, Corsican twins Tomax and Xamot, who were big players in the Sunbow cartoon series and also popped up in the Marvel G.I. Joe comics, will serve as the main antagonists for G.I. Joe 3. Former mercenaries in charge of Cobra’s corporate front, Extensive Enterprises, the pair lead the fearsome Crimson Guard and also share an empathic bond, which lets them communicate telepathically and feel one another’s pain. Allison Burnett is a rarity in Hollywood. He is not just a successful Hollywood screenwriter, a respected novelist, and a published critic and poet, but also a film director. His new film, Ask Me Anything, which he wrote and directed based on his own novel Undiscovered Gyrl, was released two weeks ago in selected theaters and on all digital platforms. It stars Martin Sheen, Christian Slater, Justin Long, and, in the lead role, luminous newcomer Britt Robertson. Recently I sat down with Allison in his Los Angeles home to discuss the challenges of indie filmmaking in general, as well as the difficulties with his leading lady that has caught the attention of the national media.
Dusty Wright: You wrote and directed Red Meat in 1996 and then did not direct again until Ask Me Anything. What took you so long to tackle directing again?
Alilson Burnett: To me the great allure of directing is creative control.

Ask and You Shall Receive: Burnett’s Adaptation Buoyed By Arresting Performances
Landing somewhere on a spectrum of unraveling female adolescent prototypes that plays like one part Evan Rachel Wood in Pretty Persuasion mixed with two parts Thirteen is Katie Kampenfelt, the heroine of director and novelist Allison Burnett’s latest feature, Ask Me Anything. Adapted from his own novel, Undiscovered Gyrl, his vanilla retitling doesn’t quite sit properly atop his intriguing, if sometimes baffling venture into the psyche of a superficially maladjusted teenage girl, instead sounding like a title you’d expect to grace the NeNe Leaks story. An intriguing, if sometimes questionable supporting cast rally splendidly around a noticeable central performance from Britt Robertson, often making up for the film’s tonal missteps to become a surprisingly entertaining indie feature that will have a hard time rising above the tethers of its mediocre packaging.

Teen Wolf was firing on all cylinders on tonight’s episode, and it’s the best we’ve seen this season (maybe the entire series). The toned down look of the show that dominated the first few episodes took a back seat, and Teen Wolf made it very clear that Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) wasn’t the only thing that fans can brand as explosive. The natural reset that the show went through has opened up a realm of possibilities and the writers are taking full advantage of that by introducing us to a new, improved version of the show that we’ve already been captivated with.
Instead of focusing on recreating the wheel, the Teen Wolf writers are just adding to it. Last season fans had to wrap their minds around all the additional mythology that weaved its way through the story arc, but that’s not necessarily something pivotal...

Andrew Sullivan is not happy about Larry Kramer’s comments about PrEP in the New York Times. “I think of how it might have saved me. I was using condoms after all, and following the rules of safe sex. But I screwed up somewhere along the way, and Truvada would have been a safety net. Why would anyone not want to add that layer of security? You need not ascribe any pathology to the reluctance to wear a condom when the consequence is much less dire than it once was. You simply have to be a dude with a dick.”
Watch Max Carver spoon feed Charlie Carver. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s a twin thing?

The Beverly Hills-based company has bulked up its Cannes slate with the thriller starring Britt Robertson, one of the leads in Disney’s upcoming sci-fi Tomorrowland.

One of the most exciting small-screen projects on the way is undoubtedly HBO’s The Leftovers, a post-apocalyptic drama from Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof. Centering on the humans left on Earth after two percent of the population suddenly disappears (in an event that looks like the Rapture), The Leftovers has been shrouded in mystery since it was announced, but now we’ve got our first real look at the series with a haunting first trailer.
In the preview, which you can check out below, we get a sense of the deceptively large canvas on which writer Tom Perrotta (who wrote the 2011 novel from which The Leftovers is adapted) is working. Though the show, set to run for ten episodes, is set primarily in the small town of Mapleton, it deals with a global catastrophe and how the fallout from it affects a huge, diverse array of individuals. The Leftovers is a very intriguing new drama which takes place in the wake of a global “Rapture” – which may or may not be the Biblical rapture – and focuses on the people who were left behind in a suburban community. Below is the first very impressive trailer for the series.
With a cast made up of Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Ann Dowd, Liv Tyler, Paterson Joseph, Janel Moloney and Carrie Coon, it promises to be a fascinating look at how they all deal with the ramifications of such an event if it were to take place in our world.
Of course, with Lost’s Damon Lindelof on writing duties with Tom Perrotta (who penned the novel that the series is based on), you just know that there will be more to it than meets the eye!

HBO has delayed the premiere of the summer drama "The Leftovers" by two weeks. That's about all there is to this story. Sorry. After announcing three weeks ago that "The Leftovers" would launch on Sunday, June 15 at 10 p.m., HBO said today that the premiere has now been shifted to June 29. Per HBO, a slight shift in the production schedule led to the slight premiere shift, but this still keeps "The Leftovers" in line with the June window revealed back in January, so it's all good. The only real impact here is that "The Leftovers" will no longer premiere after the "Game of Thrones" season finale, which would have given it a nice bump. "True Blood" will still launch its seventh and final season on June 22. "The Leftovers" is based on Tom Perrotta's novel, which focuses on the aftermath of a Rapture-type event that may or may not have been the actual Rapture.

Alan Carr calls out gays for homophobia, gays caused the great flood in the Bible, ask an elected official if they’ve ever had a blow job
Alan Carr is hitting back at gays who accused him of perpetuating stereotypes in his ad for PETA. “The ‘fairy’ in the @Peta campaign refers to my ‘Tooth Fairy’ DVD that’s all. Take my advice if you act like a victim you get treated like 1…Don’t worry twitter they’ll be another bandwagon you can jump on in a minute zzzzzzzzzzzzzz…Hey and before all you oh so worthy gays get back on your high horse the most homophobia I get is from gays. #selfloathing” Mostly I think it’s clever, but I’m naturally repulsed by anything PETA does.
Get a tissue. Then read this. You need to read this.
Disney has helpfully mapped the Myers-Briggs personality test to their characters.
