William "Billy" Bretherton -- star of A&E's reality series Billy the Exterminator -- has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of possessing synthetic marijuana.
The star's attorney told the Associated Press that Bretherton was put on probation for a year during a hearing earlier this month in the northwest Louisiana municipality of Bossier Parish.
The lawyer said his client -- who was given a suspended 60-day jail term and fined $500 -- agreed to undergo substance abuse evaluation and treatment. He added that the reality star's probation requires him to also complete community service and undergo regular drug and alcohol testing.
