On tap right now is some good old fashioned indie splatter in the form of some new stills and even a trailer for the upcoming flick Open House, not to be confused with the other flick of the same name with "True Blood"'s Stephen Moyer.
Open House is directed by Brian Troxell, who is currently in post-production on his latest film, Intrusive Behavior, and the cast includes Jessica Cameron (Silent Night, Camel Spiders), Savana Jade Wehunt ("The Walking Dead"), Mel Heflin (Plan 9, The Pit), Russ Forga (Ft. Slaughterdale), Jennifer Ward, and Jimmy Dempster (Intrusive Behavior, Undead Apocalypse).
The script for Open House was written by Michael Clinkenbeard, and the film is being produced by Johnna Troxell, Ylian Snyder, and Brian Shirley.
Synopsis:
When Wardell Subotsky was 8 years old, his mother made ends meet by working as a real estate agent. After witnessing her countless sexual favors to get the properties sold,...

In an eleventh hour attempt to steal the best horror film title of the year from either Dead Hooker in a Trunk or Know Models Were Harmed, the new spring break slasher Ft. Slaughterdale has thrown its hat into the ring and released a new teaser trailer.
Ft. Slaughterdale is the tale of a construction welder named Eddie who falls to his death due to the shenanigans of drunken spring break revelers, only to return from the dead each year to exact his revenge. Muh-wa-ha-ha-ha. According to early information this film was made in true '80s style and is filled with the three b's: blood, boobs and booze. And not to mention a killer in a welding mask. Nice! Looking at this film and Sweatshop released earlier this year, I'm thinking welding gear may be replacing hockey masks as the new staple of the genre.

Just a few weeks ago i had the pleasure of interviewing young actress Maddie Bright and she mentioned mentioned the Florida based indie horror film Deep Seeded. Today thanks to director Brian Troxell we have some new blood soaked images from the film to go along with the new teaser poster art above which reminds me of the 70's sexploitation horror films. The film is writtenand directed by Troxell with Johnna Troxell producing and stars Janine Anzalone, Kam Tyrant Lee, Maddie Bright and more. Deep Seeded is eyeing a Spring release. Plot: While trying to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives as a result of their mother's untimely and unexpected demise, Lauren (Janine Anzalone) and Ashley (Little Italy), find themselves face-to-face with their mother's hidden past and a current demon named Brad (Kam Tyrant Lee) who has to wrestle demons of his own while furiously trying to drown...
