Eric Pritchard was raised on punk rock, skateboarding, and offbeat indie films in Southern California. After graduating UCLA, he began honing his craft as a filmmaker by making music videos and skateboarding films. He cut his chops as an assistant film editor on the Sundance Grand Jury prize winning documentary by noted director/writer Ondi Timoner, We Live in Public and as an online editor on Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest and directed the subsequent Michael Rappaport's Behind-the-Scenes short documentary produced by Shepard Fairey's company Obey. From editing documentaries and TV promos for theatrical advertising companies, he took the natural leap to directing, writing, and producing with the debut of his Poetry In Motion series, which features poems by Charles Bukowski and Robinson Jeffers. He recently premiered a documentary about John Lydon (a.k.a., Johnny Rotten) of Sex Pistols and Public Image Limited fame at the Tribeca Film Festival, 2017, and is finishing a documentary on the history of skateboarding graphics. Pritchard currently lives in Eagle Rock, California.
