- A 'Star' is a light for so many things left unseen.
- I never followed the crowd. I questioned everything; always wanting to know why. I was the student that wouldn't accept the answer that was given especially if you couldn't prove the answer was right.
- Acting is something I've always wanted to do. I feel like I was predisposed to it in my DNA. I never really had to "think" about it. It always just felt right.
- In 2012, I had the honor of working with Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson in "THE LOVE PUNCH", directed by Joel Hopkins in Paris, France. About a decade earlier, shortly after moving to LA I bumped into Pierce at a bookstore while shopping with my mother and father. I had no idea Pierce was behind me when I said to my Father, "Pop, my heart really hurts." Immediately after that a hand touched my right shoulder and I heard, "Well you're in the right place, Son." I turned around and there stood my favorite 007, Mr. Brosnan, staring me right in the face. One of my inspirations as a child was in the same store as me! My parents insisted I speak to him, so I drew up the courage and said, "Excuse me, Mr. Brosnan - would you mind if I speak to you for a little bit? I'm an aspiring actor from Indiana, and I was wondering if you would give me some advice?" He said, "Oh, a James Dean boy. Sure, I don't see why not. My son is getting a haircut and I was about to get a coffee." Next thing, my mom and dad go to get us coffee and I listened to the knowledge, experience, and wisdom of an actor I had dreamed of and of working with. Of all he said to me the one thing I held onto the most was this statement, "No matter where you go in this world; if you keep pursuing and working your craft, Hollywood has to notice you." About ten years later I was in Paris working with him and recalled the story of our meeting. He remembered.
- I adored and still adore my high school choir teacher. She really believed in me and was a non-conformist. She always stays true to herself.
- Life can end at any moment, so don't hold on to anything. Don't be blinded by how the world wants you to view the world. You already innately know inside you what needs to be done, and if you don't, it will eventually come. In the meantime, breath, smile, and be grateful you're alive.
- In high school, I was sent to the vice principal's office for using the word "oxymoron" in class. Neither my teacher or the vice principal knew what the word meant.
- On Saturdays and Sundays my entire family would meet at my grandparents and we would spend the day and evening with each other. I would play pretend with my older sister and cousin. My cousin was really my first acting partner in my eyes. Playing pretend really inspired me, and made me fall in love with acting. I thought, 'This is so much fun; I don't ever want this to end.'
- I have my father's passion for the craft, and my mother's coordination as a dancer, my father's strength and speed, my mother's flexibility and endurance. I have both of their minds. They don't censor their feelings and that's truly influenced me. They're my best friends and I love them with all my heart.
- I daydreamed constantly as a child. It was my escape. I'd imagine what the future would be like and I'd imagine how I wanted my life to be. I understood that life was more than what we were taught. As much as I would try to speak about it everyone would look at me strangely. It's not every day you hear a child philosophize about the meaning of life, death, and the universe.
