People’s got the exclusive premiere of the Dirty Heads’ video for their song “Vacation” — and it just may leave Saved by the Bell fans asking, “Hey hey hey What is going on here?”
The track, the first single of the California reggae band’s upcoming album, is a joyous celebration of life, with the band singing “I’m on vacation / every single day / ’cause I love my occupation.”
To help sell the message, they turned to America’s favorite principal Mr. Belding — a.k.a. Dennis Haskins, the 66-year-old actor who famously played the uptight yet lovable Bayside High...

Sia picked a good week to release her excellent “1000 Forms of Fear.” The Australian singer/songwriter’s latest album will come in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with a very only 53,000, making it one of the lowest sales tallies ever for a debuting chart topper. The summer doldrums are in full effect as the sum total of all 10 albums in top 10 will hover around 300,000 or more than 80,000 less than Coldplay sold in its opening week for “Ghost Stories” this spring. Sam Smith’s “In The Lonely Hour” hangs out at No. 2 (45,000). The unsinkable “Frozen” soundtrack will be No. 3 (40,000), while Trey Songz’ current No. 1, “Trigga” and Ed Sheeran’s “X” are too close to call for No. 4. Next come two more debuts: Judas Priest’s “Redeemer of Souls” at No. 6 (32,000) and Dirty Heads’ “Sound Of Change” at No. 7 (24,000). Miranda Lambert’s “Platinum” is No. 8 (22,000), “Now That’s What I Call Music 50” at No.

Where was the summer this year? No seriously, where the hell was it? I know this is supposed to be an album review, but quite honestly after listening to this infectious and gloriously sunny reggae-rock album from SoCal band The Dirty Heads, I realized how depressingly dreary UK life must be compared to that of the Californian locals that ooze out of this feel-good summer celebration. But it doesn’t matter. Not really. Because first and foremost, Cabin By The Sea is a mood-changer. All the while this 49-minute album blasts through its memorable melodies and groove-ridden moments, you will be transported to exactly the place this music wants to take you.
From the opening, the slow acoustic guitar melody accompanying the sound of gulls squawking and water breaking the shoreline really gets to work achieving this. Straight into the title track, the subtle instrumentation and...

Most predicted it, and now it's official: Justin Bieber's Believe scored the year's biggest chart debut, selling more than 374,000 copies and blasting the competition on the Billboard Top 200.Believe — Bieber's fourth album to debut at #1 — slightly edged Madonna's Mdna, which sold 359,000 copies when it was released in late March, to claim the title of year's biggest bow, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It's also the best first-week number any album has posted since Adele's 21 rode a post-Grammy surge to sales of more than 729,000 copies in February.
Bieber's album also sold nearly twice the copies as its closest competition, Kenny Chesney's Welcome to the Fishbowl, which opens at #2 on the chart with an impressive 193,000 copies in its first week of release.

A Night To Remember
For any band, getting back together after the loss of a key member is a huge gamble. Some, like AC/DC, emerge from the tragic loss of a lead singer to reach the utmost peaks of rock stardom. Others are not so lucky. In any case, no band is ever the same after the loss of a lead singer.
And so, when I recently saw Sublime with Rome it is needless to say that I had mixed feelings about the whole thing - which I suppose I should explain. I began my love affair with Sublime at the age of 14. I thought Eric was so insanely cool that I even learned to play the bass guitar. I’d sit for hours trying to play along. In high school, among my group of friends, Sublime was always playing in the background whenever we hung out, or partied.

“Lay Me Down,” the band’s first chart topper, was featured on Rolling Stone’s “Hot List,” and is one of the most added and requested songs at dozens of radio stations across the country. The Dirty Heads will continue to sell out shows across the U.S. while touring this summer in support of Sublime with Rome and Matisyahu, as well as performing their own headlining shows and festivals.

It's the weekend! Or it's the weekend for me, anyway, I know some of you still have like Friday to get through but Friday's barely a real work day anyway. I mean, how many truly productive things do you actually get done? Or do you just do enough that your Monday isn't a total disaster? That's what I thought. Anyway, I hope everyone else gets to have a super awesome weekend, just like I'm going to, and here's what's on TV this Thursday night:
8:00 p.m.: "Bones" on Fox.
"Community" on NBC.
"Flash Forward" ABC.
"Survivor" on CBS.
"The Vampire Diaries" on The CW. There's a lot of pretty on this show, so I decided to highlight it for tonight. Mmmmm, pretty. If "Twilight" had guys that looked like that I... well, I still probably wouldn't watch "Twilight" but I might get some of the posters.

Jimmy Fallon should feel pretty good about himself and his still-developing late night program "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." He is constantly improving as a host, his writing team is top-notch and his commitment to online-exclusive content (like the excellent "Lost" parody "Late") is clearly setting the stage for the future. He has also developed a knack for booking musical guests that other shows are clearly paying attention to. This week, many of the late night hosts have made esoteric choices for their musical guests. Take Jay Leno, who will welcome Limp Bizkit to "The Tonight Show" on Monday (May 10) and will follow that up with a visit from Macy Gray on Wednesday (May 12) and the Jonas Brothers on Friday (May 14).
That's a pretty eclectic week, though not nearly as all-over-the-place as David Letterman, whose "The Late Show" will have performances from Mgmt on Tuesday (May 11) and Brooklyn brooders the...
