Born and raised on camera, Christy Derry has always had one foot in
show business. While studying behind the camera at Madonna University,
she graduated the 1 year acting course at the New York Film Academy.
While in school Christy received the first Honorable Mention student
Emmy award for her piece "Guilt" and two years later received the
student Emmy for her piece "The Dexter Cider Mill". Earning her
bachelor's degree in Broadcast and Cinema Arts, Christy went on to
produce and co-host Michigan Movie Magazine the TV Show, and produces
and co-hosts the television show "Celebrate Michigan" on channel 20.
Always looking to future generations Christy is an adjunct professor at
Madonna University in Field Production and Editing as well as Talent
Performance for Television and Radio. She often works on independent
projects with organizations and companies such as The Cadillac LaSalle
Club and Interactive Artist Magazine. Always ready to jump in front of
the camera, Christy loves to operate the camera, produce, direct and
follow through with the completion of projects by editing.
