Goku and Gojo Satoru are the two pinnacle of strengths in their respective universes. While one is the strongest Saiyan fighter in the Dragon Ball world, another is the strongest jujutsu sorcerer to ever exist in Jujutsu Kaisen. The two have totally different powers and abilities, but their battle will be an interesting sight for anime and manga fans.

The iconic 2021 Amazon series Invincible can be dialed down in simple terms, as a kid having daddy issues. Except, his father is a psycho superhero, and he is a superhero, and they are both Viltrumites. But yeah, that’s pretty much the most dialed-down gist of the series.
We’re kidding. Of course, the series has much more depth to it than stated above and has multiple characters with spectacular storylines. Regardless, as per this theory, Mark Grayson might not be able to beat all the Viltrumites, but there is another superhero who can!
J. K. Simmons’ Omni-Man and Steven Yeun’s Invincible Mark Grayson May Not Be Strong Enough For The Viltrumites!
So to sum up the story of Invincible, we might have to face some superhero traumas alongside some daddy issues. To start off, Omni-Man (voiced by J.K. Simmons) is an alien from the race Viltrumites. That’s why he’s so powerful.

Invincible is having a great run as an animated series, produced by Seth Rogen under Amazon Studios. The show recently wrapped up its second season, one that ended with a bang. However, there are a lot of things that had to change for the adaptation of the comic, specifically because of how many characters from other IPs it featured in its source material.
Invincible (2021-present)
While comics created under the Image Comics label are owned by their respective creators, the characters do share a world with other IPs, and often crossover with each other during major events. Given that an Invincible live-action film is in the works, it is completely possible that Invincible could kick off a shared Image Comics universe, that could bring to the screen a host of beloved characters.

This article contains spoilers for Invincible season 2 episode 8.
Invincible‘s first season finale was a tough act to follow. Mark Grayson a.k.a. Invincible’s bloody battle with his own father Nolan a.k.a. Omni-Man is already the stuff of animated superhero TV (and meme) legend. Still the Invincible season 2 finale comes closer to recapturing the excitement than it has any right to.
After Mark got his ass handed to him by Nolan last time around, it’s finally his turn to do some ass-handing himself. Multiverse-hopper Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown) immediately became one of Invincible’s greatest threats by holding his family hostage. Those stakes give this finale “I Thought You Were Stronger” an impressive emotional throughline.
And of course, there is some multiverse nonsense to enjoy as well. Here is how Invincible season 2 ends.

Invincible, just like its source material, is cementing itself as the best superhero media of our times, as it chooses to subvert the various trends in superhero fiction one after the other. Despite the minor dip in popularity that it experienced thanks to the seemingly unnecessary break between its seasons, the show seems to be gearing up for one hell of a finale.

The world was shocked when Steven Yeun, Mark Hamill, and, several other stars joined hands in voicing the iconic animated series Invincible. Premiering in 2021, the series was the animated equivalent of The Boys and received worldwide acclaim and praise for not holding back.
The character of Steven Yeun, who is Invincible himself, is on the path of discovering his powers. Being a superhero requires a supervillain who could challenge him. Luckily (or unluckily) for Invincible, a supervillain is already on the hunt to kill him. Staying true to its comic roots, Invincible has largely pivoted away from Omni-Man in its second season. After nearly beating his son to death in Season One, the J.K. Simmons-led character undergoes an emotional journey and finds his new home in Thraxa after saving their people from a black hole.
However, the character has remained largely absent in Season Two since the show’s premiere after getting gravely injured while battling the Viltrumites alongside his son and is ultimately taken into custody. Robert Kirkman’s Invincible is gearing up to launch the second part of its second season, and fans could not be more excited about the show’s return. What has had fans speculating about the story is that Invincible had a cross-company crossover with Spider-Man during his multiversal adventures, which fans are expecting to see in the show, even if it’s a long shot.
Invincible
However, if Spider-Man is to show up in Invincible, Sony and Marvel have the choice to make one of the most iconic backdoor pilots in recent history. While the first episode of Invincible Season 2 Part 2 airs on March 15th, Marvel Animation will be busy releasing its continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series, titled X-Men ’97. This has caused a lot of speculation as to which other animated series could return from Marvel Animation, and one story neatly fits into the niche that this whirlwind of situations has created.

The final half of “Invincible” is nearly here, and Prime Video has released the first trailer for the bloody finale to Season 2.
Season 2 Part 2, which consists of four episodes, begins streaming on Prime Video on March 14 and will release each episode weekly.
Part 1 released back in November and ended on several cliffhangers, with Invincible, aka Mark Grayson, bumping into his father Omni-Man, who tried to kill him in the Season 1 finale, on an alien planet. The tense reunion got even more awkward when Omni-Man revealed he had fathered a child with one of the insectoid alien members. Together, Invincible and Omni-Man barely defeated three Viltrumite attackers, who took Omni-Man back to their base and ordered Invincible to prepare Earth for takeover.
The Season 2 Part 2 trailer teases even more bloody, limb-snapping, intergalactic action. Invincible returns to space and must handle an invasion from the mind-controlling, parasitic aliens seen in the first season.

This article contains spoilers for the "Invincible" season 2 mid-season finale.
"It's been a while."
So says Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons) to his stunned son Mark/Invincible (Steven Yeun) upon their unexpected reunion on the planet Thraxa in "Invincible" season 2. That's also what Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen) said to Mark in the season 2 teaser -- a cheeky tip of the hat to the long break between the first and second seasons. After the incredibly violent events of the season 1 finale, audiences probably needed some time away to recuperate, if not as much as Mark.
Season 2 finds the heroes of "Invincible" trying to move on and quickly realizing just how hard that is to do. After weeks of going numbly through the daily motions as a superhero following his father's betrayal, Mark is ready to finish high school and take on new responsibilities at the behest of the Global Defense...

This article contains spoilers for "Invincible."
The initial premise of "Invincible" is what it would be like to be Superman's son and follow in your dad's footsteps. Mark Grayson/Invincible (Steven Yeun) is the son of Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons), Earth's greatest superhero and visitor from the planet Viltrum. Unfortunately, Viltrum is a fascist empire and Nolan isn't as benevolent as he appears.
"Invincible" season 1 ended with a clash between father and son. Nolan beat Mark to a pulp but flew off in grief after realizing how human he'd become. A question lingering at the season's end was when Omni-Man would return — pretty soon, it turned out.
"Invincible" season 2, episode 3, "This Missive, This Machination!" features Mark called to the alien planet Thraxa; the cliffhanger ending is him coming face to face with the planet's ruler, Nolan. Episode 4, "It's Been A While," opens with a flashback montage (scored to a...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Invincible Season 2, Episode 4, “Its been a while”] The midseason finale of Invincible has come and gone with the reintroduction of J.K. Simmons‘ Omni-Man reuniting with his son Invincible (Steven Yeun) following their brutal battle back on Earth. Following the unfortunate reunion with his father, a series of new developments unfolded: Invincible discovered he now has an alien half-brother, and following the defeat of the Viltrumite, they abducted his father, indicating that Earth will soon face their impending threat. And that’s before we even mention the post-credit scene, which sees the Mauler Twins become the Mauler after one kills the other. “I don’t want to spoil too much around that scene, but I think the fact that he’s revealing there’s something useful in those books for Mark in that moment indicates possibly a shift in his loyalty,” creator Robert Kirkman told TV Insider. He also says...

The first season of Amazon Prime’s Invincible, an animated adaptation of Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley’s comic book series of the same name, became a breakout hit for a number of reasons, and the complex father-son relationship and intriguing plotline were major ones among them. The way the series perfectly synced unprecedented brutal spectacle with strong emotional undertones and relatable characterizations, it was no wonder that the series eventually received a massive fan following, with its second season being one of the most anticipated animated ventures in recent years.
With the first part of the second season of Invincible recently coming to an end, expectations are once again at an all-time high thanks to some of the significant teases provided throughout the season. Momentous events in our lives tend to happen when we least expect them, and in the first season of Invincible, one such event in Mark Grayson’s life was when his father, Nolan Grayson, aka Omni-Man, the strongest superhero on Earth, revealed his true colors as a Viltrumite colonizer. The ensuing conflict between the father and son turned out as brutal and emotionally charged as series fans would have expected, and ended with a distraught, remorseful Nolan leaving the planet for good. Ever since his departure, the Grayson family has tried to pick up the pieces, as shown through the first two episodes of the second season, which is why Omni-Man’s surprising return in the third episode holds immense significance for the series’ future.
Some of the plot points hinted at in the previous season, like the appearance of Allen the Alien, get explored in the third episode in a significant way as well,...

Invincible showrunner Robert Kirkman broke down the shocking Omni-Man twist seen at the beginning of Season 2.
Based on the comic series created by Kirkman, the Amazon Prime Video animated series is back for a second run, telling the story of Mark Grayson and his super-powered and complicated family.
After a climactic battle between Mark (aka Invincible) and his Superman-esque father Omni-Man, Season 2 opened with a shocking turn of events. The father-son duo were showcased working together in enslaving the people of Earth (something Mark was vehemently against in Season 1).

This article contains spoilers for Invincible season 2 episode 2.
Adapted from a comic that ran for 144 serialized issues, Prime Video’s Invincible has a lot of plot to get through if it wants to hit its seven-to-eight season target.
That means that any given episode of the show features abundant background material with supporting characters in addition to the usual Mark Grayson a.k.a. Invincible (Steven Yeun) hijinx. The latest example of a seemingly unimportant character getting prominent billing comes in season 2 episode 2 “In About Six Hours I Lose My Virginity to a Fish.” While Mark prepares to fulfill the unfortunate promise of the episode’s title, the plot occasionally drifts over to focus on a very strange astronaut named Rus Livingston (voiced by Sonic the Hedgehog himself: Ben Schwartz).
But who exactly is Rus Livingston? Where did he come from? And how did he come to be the superhero “The Shapesmith.

Spoilers for "Invincible" follow.
Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley's "Invincible" is an unusual superhero comic. It blends the genre's aesthetics and tropes together into a mighty sweet cocktail, yet it eschews the storytelling mode of these comics: the "floating timeline," where no characters age and the status quo remains supreme. No, "Invincible" is the rare serialized superhero story with linear, forward-moving storytelling and, ultimately, an ending.
Not to worry, though; the first season of Prime Video's "Invincible" series mostly adapted the first 13 issues/three volumes of the comic, out of 144 issues/25 volumes. Even with season 2 finally premiering, the series is nowhere near the comic's conclusion. If all goes as planned, fans will be watching the animated adventures of Mark Grayson/Invincible (Steven Yeun) for many more seasons.
That's not to say season 2 hasn't already teased future storylines. Thus far, "Invincible" has taken an adaptation approach similar to "The Walking Dead,...

Naming high schools after actors isn’t anything new for animated series. Meg and Peter’s school in Family Guy has been named after both James Woods and Adam West over the course of the series’ run with both actors voicing themselves as characters as well. Where Prime Video’s Invincible differs, however, is by adding yet another layer to their version of this running joke.
The high school that Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), William (Andrew Rannells), Eve (Gillian Jacobs), and Amber (Zazie Beetz) attend is named after the actor Reginald VelJohnson, who most people will likely recognize from Die Hard and the hit show Family Matters. VelJohnson also voices a character in Invincible, but instead of playing a direct version of himself, he voices the principal of the school named after him.

This article contains spoilers for Invincible season 2 episode 1.
The conclusion of Invincible season 1 was a tough act to follow.
In case you forgot (and you may have since it aired more than a year and a half ago), the first season of Prime Video’s animated superhero series ended with an epic, bloody battle between Mark Grayson a.k.a. Invincible (Steven Yeun) and his father Nolan Grayson a.k.a. Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). And by bloody … we mean like really bloody.
Viewers had known that Nolan, from the warrior planet Viltrum, was a baddie since he killed the Guardians of the Globe at the end of the show’s pilot. Poor Mark didn’t get that news until later when his father revealed that Viltrum wasn’t a planet of philanthropists like he claimed but rather a culture of conquerors. Now it would be up to Mark and Nolan to conquer the planet together.

Between new Marvel Cinematic Universe series and reboots of DC films, the superhero genre has inundated audiences with content at every turn of late. Even people who can’t get enough of seeing Loki grapple with time travel or Michael Keaton cameo as Batman may find it a tad bit overwhelming and stale to be hit with the same old stuff. Thanks to offbeat, unique shows like The Boys and Invincible, however, the superhero genre has a couple of beacons of revolutionary hope for the future.
The latter show is where we’ll turn our focus, as the second season of Robert Kirkman’s (of The Walking Dead fame) comic book adaptation is about to launch the first of its eight episodes on Nov. 3. If you’re a little fuzzy on the details of the first season and where we left off, you’re probably in the majority.

Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season One, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it.”

The Season 2 trailer for Prime Video’s acclaimed adult animated superhero series Invincible has finally arrived. Initially premiering during Prime Video’s New York Comic Con panel, the trailer above features the fallout of the superhero Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons), turning on humanity and his family, Debbie (Sandra Oh) and our titular teen hero, Mark (Steven Yeun). The world is reeling from the devastation left between the father and son clash from last season, and now Mark is worried, after admiring his father’s heroics for so long, he may fall down his path of villainy. “When I was a kid, I always wanted to be like my dad,” Mark says in the trailer opening and laments, “What if that happens?” We see Mark as Invincible, attempting to step it up as a hero. We also see the return of Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien, Zazie Beetz as Amber, the...

It’s been over two years since the first season of Invincible wrapped up. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of the series, which is now just over a month away. The comic series on which Invincible is based spanned 144 issues over fifteen years, so there are certainly plenty of stories to keep the animated series going for some time. Invincible creator Robert Kirkman spoke with Polygon earlier this month and was asked how many seasons the series could last.
“I’m trying not to pin it down to a number, because it is somewhat of a moving target,” Kirkman said. “I think in the seven-to-eight-season range seems like it would be enough. But there could be some things we move through a little faster, some things we expand. If we’re fortunate enough to go for a good long time, I think that would be enough to cover the entire comic.

The Boys and Invincible already had enough in common with both being superhero shows on Amazon Prime. But as early as season 1, The Boys added an element to the show that wasn’t present in the comics. This minor change only added more similarities between the two unconventional superhero shows.

The 1 change that had a massive effect on ‘The Boys’ Antony Star, Karl Urban, and Cameron Crovetti in ‘The Boys’ | Amazon Prime
The Boys television series took a few creative liberties that differentiated it from its comic book counterpart. Alot of these changes ranged from adding characters who don’t exist in the comic. Sometimes, characters’ story-lines from the comics are completely revamped and given new direction in the Amazon series. As early as season 1, the show started tampering with the lore established in the source material. And one of the show’s...

Now that season 2 of his Prime Video superhero series has a Nov. 3 release date, Invincible creator Robert Kirkman admits that he’s going to miss all the poking and prodding.
“I’m ready for people to stop yelling at me about (the wait for season 2). But I’m also so appreciative of people ‘yelling’ at me for the last seven years. It’s great to see that people are invested,” he tells Den of Geek during his appearance at our San Diego Comic-Con studio.
Kirkman is mostly joking – it hasn’t actually been seven years since Invincible season 1’s finale premiered in April 2021. But given the explosive conclusion to the first season of the series based on Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley’s beloved 144-issue comic of the same name, fans could be forgiven for feeling like it’s been nearly a decade all the same.

Los Angeles, July 22 (Ians) The popular American animated superhero series ‘Invincible’ has just released the teaser trailer for its upcoming Season 2. The teaser takes place in the aftermath of Invincible’s brutal confrontation with his father, Omni-Man in the finale of Season 1.
It’s mostly just a reel to hype up the massive star-studded voice cast, without much in the way of actual footage leaving things pretty obscure.
Based on the Robert Kirkman graphic novels of the same name, the series revolves around teenager Mark Grayson as he develops superpowers akin to his father, the world’s most powerful hero Omni-Man, only to eventually learn of a dark secret behind his father’s past while dealing with his own powers. After all, ‘With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility’, it may be an overused line in Spiderman, but is applicable for all supers and even in real life.
