Joshua Cam Smith was born and raised in the small town of Cloverdale, Northern CA. He graduated from The Art institute of CA, Los Angeles top of his class and with honors in 2007. After spending some time working various on-set G&E and Camera positions, Josh eventually began his career in design and visual effects working as a production artist for a corporate design studio, with clients such as Boeing, Amgen, GE, Pratt Whitney, and UTC.
After quickly working his way up, he eventually moved on to become a CG/Design lead at Digital Kitchen, Los Angeles where he eventually would be nominated along with the design team for an Emmy for the main titles of the Netflix series "Narcos", Season 1 and Season 2. Eventually, Josh left Digital Kitchen to pursue a freelance career.
Josh is the owner and Creative Director of the design studio Smitten Creative, where he continues to work on title sequences, broadcast promos, and other design and visual effects based projects for film and television.
