Won a swimming gold medal for Australia in the women's 50 metres butterfly at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Became the Northern Territory's first world swimming champion when she won a gold medal in the women's 50 metres butterfly at the World Aquatics Championships at Montreal in 2005.
In 2002, at the age of 14, she moved from Darwin to the Melbourne suburb of Kew to further her swimming career.
