Universal Pictures debuts new trailer for the DreamWorks animated feature ‘The Bad Guys.’
Based on the New York Times best-selling book series, a crackerjack criminal crew of animal outlaws are about to attempt their most challenging con yet—becoming model citizens.
Never have there been five friends as infamous as The Bad Guys—dashing pickpocket Mr. Wolf, seen-it-all safecracker Mr. Snake, chill master-of-disguise Mr. Shark, short-fused “muscle” Mr. Piranha and sharptongued expert hacker Ms. Tarantula, aka “Webs.”
But when, after years of countless heists and being the world’s most-wanted villains, the gang is finally caught, Mr. Wolf brokers a deal (that he has no intention of keeping) to save them all from prison: The Bad Guys will go good.
Under the tutelage of their mentor Professor Marmalade, an arrogant (but adorable!) guinea pig, The Bad Guys set out to fool the world that they’ve been transformed. Along the way,...

Fans of the Alec Baldwin-voiced “Boss Baby” are going to have to wait a little longer to get their fix, as the animated comedy has been moved from its planned March 26 release date to Sept. 17, 2021.
Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation announced today that the animated sequel, “The Boss Baby: Family Business,” would move from spring to fall. The move also means that DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming film “The Bad Guys,” which was set for the September date, is now currently unset, though a new 2022 release date will be announced in coming weeks.
Released in 2017, the original “Boss Baby” took in more than $520 million at the worldwide box office and was nominated for an Academy Award for best animated feature. The sequel follows the Templeton Brothers, Tim (voiced by James Marsden) and little brother Ted, who are now all grown up and have grown apart. Jeff Goldblum, Eva Longoria and...

Comic Book Reviews: DC Comics Round Up Week 10/12/2016
A little late this time around, but never forgotten! This week I take a quick look at the developing stories from DC’s Rebirth line up. While not a huge week for story development, we do get to wrap up a few plots and open the doors to a few more!
Action Comics #965
Story: Dan Jurgens Art: Stephen Segovia, Art Thibert, Arif Prianto, Dave Sharpe
Review: So with Superman seemingly unable to prove anything nefarious about this new Clark Kent, it’s up to Lois to try to figure out what’s going on! To do that she pretends to the Lois Lane of New 52 Universe, and as expected things don’t go completely as planned. Jurgens continues to do an excellent job here with how he handles the characters. Everyone feels right, in that their motivations, manner of speech and actions...

1985 was the year of Back To The Future, Rocky IV and Rambo II. But what about these 20 movies, that also deserve a fair share of love?
Thirty years ago, Marty McFly was riding high with the smash hit Back To The Future, while Sylvester Stallone enjoyed his most successful year yet with the one-two punch of Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rocky IV. It was an era of family sci-fi and teen comedies and bullet-spraying action, where The Breakfast Club and Teen Wolf rubbed shoulders with Death Wish 3 and Commando. Then there were low-key dramas like Out Of Africa and The Color Purple, which were both awards magnets at the Oscars.
Away from all those big hits, 1985 saw the release of a wealth of less successful movies, some of which found a second life on the then-huge home video circuit. Here's our pick of 20 underappreciated films from the year of Rambo,...

Maybe it’s all that time he spent up at The Wall, but is Jon Snow a terrible dinner-party guest or what?
On Tuesday’s Late Night, the popular Game of Thrones character — portrayed by Kit Harington — was transplanted from Westeros to Manhattan to attend an intimate dinner party at Seth Meyers‘ home.

A choking Joffrey joke? A fire-breathing Muppet? “The monster is blue and full of errors”? Sesame Street‘s latest parody truly reigns supreme over all others.

Question: Arrow‘s Oliver and Felicity got a little flirt going last week… I’m so glad to finally see them interacting again. Can you tease anything about their future scenes together? —Jewel
Ausiello: We asked Stephen Amell to ID his favorite moment from this Wednesday’s wedded hour, and he offered this: “I have a great scene with Emily [Bett Rickards] in the latter part of that episode where we’re really at odds with one another,” he previews.

Last year we ran a schedule of every TV/Cable network schedule we could find that could be construed as Horror or Halloween related for the month of October. Let’s just say it proved useful for our readers and even for our staff when they were looking to find something to watch, wanted to program their DVR’s or didn’t want to miss out on some great “live” Horror. Isn’t there something about having a movie fed to you on TV as opposed to watching it on Blu-ray or DVD or streaming? We may not like commercials, but the randomness that you can associate with a TV program itinerary is novel. It removes a little bit of control from the audience who is all to concerned with being in control these days (just look at the reasons behind publishing a piece like this).

The 24th annual Onion City Experimental Film and Video Festival is the largest, most jam-packed edition of Chicago’s long-running avant-garde and experimental media fest ever! Held at the Gene Siskel Film Center on June 21 and at Columbia College on June 22-23, this year’s event features two days and three nights of fantastic experimental work, including both short films and feature-length productions.
Two feature-length films will get two screenings each. First, there’s collage animator Lewis Klahr‘s latest epic work The Pettifogger, a film noir about the year in the life of a ’60s era gambler; and Tributes – Pulse, a collaboration between filmmaker Bill Morrison and Danish composer Simon Christensen. Both films will screen on the 22nd and the 23rd.
Other feature-length works include Wolfgang Lehmann’s experimental nature film Dragonflies With Birds and Snake, Barry Doupé’s computer animated mystery The Colors That Combine to Make White Are Important,...

We all watched as “so so” died this past season and the zombies did that thing they did and the folks of the Walking Dead stayed on the farm… for… ever… What did you think of the Walking Dead Season 2? The Internet is absolutely exploding with everything from Siskel and Ebert level criticism to whiny social networkers trying to play Hollywood directors to the folks who might as well be the tattle talers in grade school for the rest of their natural born lives (Those are the spoiler posters). Well there’s only one opinion (really three separate opinions fused to form one) you need to listen to if you want to get eaten alive by the Walking Dead all over again. Jeff Konopka, Shawn Savage and Ted Brown dish on the brains you love to eat.
