All’s fair in love and reality TV, right?
While there’s no doubt that over the years many of our favorite contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette would probably agree with that phrase, there are quite a few that seem to have taken it a little too literally. They plotted, schemed, lied and betrayed — and made for some pretty amazing television in the process.
And, if we were really lucky, they then ended up on one of the spin-off shows like Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Pad. In the spirit of free-flowing roses, champagne and drama, let’s...

Bachelor Pad host Chris Harrison has revealed that Rachel Truehart took "hours" to make the decision to send her best friend Jaclyn Swartz home. Truehart was persuaded by her partner Nick Peterson to send home Swartz and Ed Swiderski in last night's (September 3) show, keeping Chris Bukowski and Sarah Newlon around for the finale. However, Harrison has now told TV Guide that Truehart was reluctant to send home Swartz. "It took a lot longer [than we saw] - hours - because she would not budge," he said. When we last left the fine folks of the "Bachelor Pad," David is the last fan standing, while Ed is kind of a raging alcoholic and Chris is hooking up with everything that moves.
Post Elimination
Ed and Jaclyn drunkenly slur things at each other and then Jaclyn mixes some metaphors about a scale of 1-10 and Cloud 9. On a scale of one to 10, those two don't have five brain cells between them. Meanwhile, Jamie's sweating things a bit because really the only ally she has in the house is David, who is probably not long for the "Bachelor Pad" world if he doesn't win the challenge.
Then Chris Harrison stops by and they all have to fill out a survey about each other. Glassy-eyed Jaclyn sways on her feet as she tries to remember how to write, while Kalon smirks like he's still some kind of villain instead of an empty suit.

Introducing Chris Harrison, census taker of doom. As the Bachelor Pad roomies either celebrated or squirmed following Reid and Donna's ouster, the ever chipper host returned to the house to distribute presumably highly personal surveys that he encouraged the 14 remaining contestants to answer as openly and honestly as possible. Well, that was bound to cause mass devastation, now wasn't it? The fruit of their box-checking labor manifested itself in "Bachelor Pad Game Show Mashup," a trivia challenge ultimately won by power couple Ed Swiderski, who got lucky with questions like 'Who was the fifth Bachelorette?' Who would have thought, lo so many summers ago (okay, three), that the reality TV reject recycling facility known as Bachelor Pad would still be in operation? Well it is, rose lovers — the new season premieres Monday, July 23 — and this is the moment America has I’ve been waiting for all summer: The Bachelor Pad 3 cast announcement! A few contestants are no-brainers, like Kalon (pictured), a.k.a. The Guy Who Called Emily’s Daughter “Baggage” on The Bachelorette. Some are a little snoozy (Erica Rose again?), but there are definitely a few names that will cause fans to feel the special mix of surprise,...

Get ready for some drama! The new cast of ABC's guilty pleasure Bachelor Pad 3 was announced Thursday morning - and some of the most infamous former contestants from the match-making series are among them. First off, last season's winner Michael Stagliano, who witnessed his former fiancée Holly Durst fall in love with Blake Julian during the summer 2011 production, will be back. (Durst and Julian tied the knot on June 2.) Stagliano is hoping to repeat his victory while competing against current Bachelorette villain Kalon McMahon, who Emily Maynard sent packing on Monday's show after he referred to her 6-year-old daughter Ricki as "baggage.

Over the river and through woods, to grandmother's house Brittney Schreiner went after leaving The Bachelor on her own terms. On Monday's episode, the blonde "selflessly" declined an offer to go on a one-one-one date with Ben Flajnik because she "didn't have that spark that you look for when you start dating a guy."
Her grandma presented an astounding first impression on the season premiere and was "surprised" that things didn't work out between Brittney and the hunky winemaker. Regardless, she offered her granddaughter the "support" she needed to recover from the harrowing experience.
Leaving the show before the other girls encountered Shawntel Newton, Brittney sized-up the tense situation as a viewer. "I do think he has connections in the house with girls that are stronger than his connection with Shawntel," she told Et. "I think Kacie B. is such a sweetheart…down to earth and genuine. I liked Emily,...

Just three out of the 20 relationships that formed because of ‘The Bachelor/Bachelorette’ have lasted. With an 85-percent failure rate are Brad and Emily doomed?
After going on The Bachelor for the second time, Brad Womack finally met the love of his life — Emily Maynard. But since they got engaged back in November, the couple has broken up multiple times. And now that they are finally a public couple, Emily says she’s not ready to get married yet and refuses to move to Austin for Brad. Could this mean that they are right on track to joining the 17 other failed Bachelor/Bachelorette couples?
The most shocking Bachelor breakups to date:
Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi. Jake and Vienna got engaged on the show, but broke up in June 2010. They pretended to stay together for a month longer to keep up appearances — but Vienna was soon seen out with Greek star Gregory Michael.

Jillian thinks Brad and Chantal are the perfect match — and Laurel just needs to shut up! We hope Chantal can block out Laurel.
Brad Womack is telling everyone he’s finally found love on The Bachelor. But despite his happiness, his ex-girlfriend Laurel Kagay broke the news last week that Brad had proposed to her just before leaving to film the show for the second time. The catch? She never gave Brad an answer.
Now, former Bachelorette Jillian Harris, has a message for Laurel. “I’m sorry. You missed your boat, sweetheart,” Jillian tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively .
“To me, it just seems like if you did love him, you would say yes,” Jillian told us at Starkist’s Charlie the Tuna’s 50th B-Day Bash in NYC. “But if you’re not really sure, he’s going to move on and find somebody new.”

Stepping out for an enjoyable evening, Jillian Harris was spotted at Stk restaurant in West Hollywood last night (September 28).
The “Bachelorette” babe was in the house to help her gal pal Natalie Getz from “The Bachelor Pad” celebrate her birthday, and looked super sexy in a blue polka-dotted dress with brown peep-toe heels.
And though she’s newly-single thanks to her breakup with Ed Swiderski, Jillian has plenty to look forward to as a new permanent cast member of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
She told press, "I can’t wait to get on that bus again and make a difference. I have been such a fan of the show for years. I watched the designers and thought, 'Wow, what an incredible opportunity that would be,' and here I am one of those designers."...

ABC said in the press release earlier this week that "The Bachelorette" would have a "shocking outcome". Host Chris Harrison has just confirmed it is not some kind of hyperbole statement, but it will indeed be different from previous seasons. "It's true from the last chance dates. And from those on into 'proposal day' at the end. Everything is different than what our fans have seen in years past," he said.
Going into details, Harrison said, "People will be surprised. Whether it's good or not, Ali's happy with it and she's sticking by it." He added in the interview with E! Online, "It'll be interesting. I really just want to sit back and watch the fan reactions, what the comments are and how they feel it all played out."
Determining how "different" this would be, one may look back at the past season endings. Trista Rehn got a happy ending...
