Currently shooting in Los Angeles for Happy Ending, Saif Ali Khan was hardly amused when he was informed of some stray reporting around him being tagged 'jinxed' as a co-star. The insinuation came from the case studies of Giselli Monteiro (Love Aaj Kal) and Diana Penty (Cocktail) who haven't really picked up anything substantial after making their debut with Saif."Shouldn't it be the other way round i.e. Saif being lucky for newcomers like Giselli or Diana," comments a source,...

As they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. The films on this list are not any different. They were well-intentioned films that disappointed in the end. Now that 2011 is over, we take look at the films that left a great deal to be desired.
Ra.One
The promotion and hype for this film began even before it went to the floor. Releasing in the wake of Endhiran, it was set to outdo everything and anything that has ever been done in Indian cinema. It was to be the Mughal-e-Azam of the 21st Century. Alas, it was not so.
The film had great potential and the storyline would have been credible but it failed in execution. Between the stereotypes, nostalgia and likeable but ultimately unremarkable music, Ra.One is like the kid who brings all his toys to the playground to impress everyone but in the end alienates people.

The music for the upcoming Always Kabhi Kabhi has quite the mix of music and one that really shows the range of the soundtrack is the song 'Jaane Kyun'. This effortless, soaring melody appears in two versions, one called the soul version and the other called the sufi version. While Naresh Iyer sings the soul version, Shafqat Amanat Ali brings in his experience and trademark sound for the sufi version. The essence of both versions is that 'Jaane Kyun ' sums up on a mellow and poignant note than the rest of the songs.

Coming on June 17th is the Shah Rukh Khan produced, Roshan Abbas directed teen romance Always Kabhi Kabhi. The film is about four teenage friends (newcomers Zoa Morani, Giselli Monteiro, Ali Fazal, Satyajeet Dubey, Satish Shah), their school - St Marks and what happens in their last year. It is a coming of age tale that is also about love and the craze of one's first-ever crushes. It's the period where everyone is growing up and moving on to the next level. In this competitive, confusing and sometimes cruel world, we have four characters whose destinies seem to take them on different paths.

There is no denying that Shah Rukh Khan is among the busiest actors around, what with his film commitments, his Ipl commitments and numerous other endorsement related work. Even as he is neck deep busy travelling with his Ipl franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (Kkr), Shah Rukh managed to squeeze out time to shoot a music video for his home production Always Kabhi Kabhi directed by Roshan Abbas. Always Kabhi Kabhi, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, stars relatively new faces such as Zoa Morani, Giselli Monteiro, Satyajit Dubey and Ali Fazal. To see that the film gets its due share of eyeballs, the makers decided to shoot a special music video featuring Srk along with the cast of the film. The song called 'Antenna' features in the climax and is set against the backdrop of a jail set with some rebellious lyrics describing how parents' frequency many-a-times doesn't match with that of their children.
