Kourtney Kardashian Struggling With Body Image & Filming Postpartum
All Kourtney Kardashian wanted was to have a baby with Travis Barker. They were trying to conceive, using IVF and then some natural options to try and make this happen. Kourtney already had three children, Reign, Penelope, and Mason from her relationship with Scott Disick. As for Travis, he was a father to Alabama and Landon as well as stepdad to Atiana from his marriage to Shanna Moakler. He and Kourtney tried the knot in 2022 and were surprised to learn that they...

Neve Campbell confirmed today that, after expressing dismay at the pay disparity between her Scream salary and what a man might be offered in the same position, when Spyglass Media Group came to her for Scream 7, it was with a “strong” offer.
“I just really felt the need to stand up and say that I don’t believe I would’ve been treated that way had I been a man carrying a franchise for 25 years,” she said in the lead up to the sixth film, in which she did not participate.
This week, Campbell told People, “I honestly don’t believe that if I were a man and had done five installments of a huge blockbuster franchise over 25 years that the number that I was offered would be the number that would be offered to a man.”
That said, she appreciates the change of heart.

Once a Kardashian, always a Kardashian is subject to change when you become a Barker, am I right?
It’s a well-known fact that the names of all the Kardashian females start with the letter ‘K,’ from Kourtney to Kim, to Khloe, so it’s only natural for their initials to be ‘K.K.’ well, except for the Jenners; Kris, Kendall and Kylie who might go with ‘K.J.’
Anyway, Kourtney’s initials is ‘K.K’ but it seems like she is ready to give it up and switch to her husband Tavis’ surname which is Barker.
The 45-year-old who shares children Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9, with ex-Scott Disick, and stepchildren Atiana, 25, Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18, as well as baby Rocky, 5 months with husband Travis, recently received a gift from her youngest sister Kylie’s new fashion brand. The item is a pair of blue “Khy by Kylie Jenner” jeans with her initials ‘K.

In a new interview, while promoting her new film Boy Kills World, Rothe shared that director Chris Landon had an idea for the third film in the saga.
“I can say Chris Landon has the whole thing figured out,” Rothe told Screen Geek. “We just need to wait for Blumhouse and Universal to get their ducks in a row. But my fingers are so crossed.”
She continued, “I think Tree [Gelbman] deserves her third and final chapter to bring that incredible character and franchise to a close or a new beginning.”

“Happy Death Day” is back for one more kill, according to lead actress Jessica Rothe.
The “Boy Kills World” star told ScreenGeek that director Christopher Landon already has a third feature set to cap off the “Groundhog Day”-type horror trilogy. Rothe plays sorority sister Tree Gelbman who relives her own murder in the 2017 original film. That movie grossed $125 million at the global box office against a budget of $4.8 million. A 2019 sequel similarly did well, garnering $64 million against a budget of $9 million.

Summer Camp tells the story of Nora (Diane Keaton), Ginny (Kathy Bates), and Mary (Alfre Woodard), who have been best friends since being inseparable at summer camp. As the years have passed, they’ve seen each other less and less, so when the chance to reunite for a summer camp reunion arises, they all take it, some begrudgingly and others excitedly.
Each of their lives might not be where they’d imagined, but one thing is for sure — Nora, Ginny, and Mary need each other, and summer camp reminds them why.

Freaky and Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon was supposed to be heading into production on Scream 7 soon – but that project has turned out to be so troubled, he had to activate his ejector seat and get out of there. Coming our way from Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes, the production company team that has previously brought us the Purge franchise, Drop is moving forward first, and we’ve previously heard that it’s set to star Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus season 2), Violett Beane (The Flash), Brandon Sklenar (1923), and newcomer Jacob Robinson, who has a large following on his parent-run Tik Tok account. Alabama Barker Applauds ‘Role Model’ Stepmother
It is no secret that Travis Barker’s two children, Landon and Alabama Barker approve of his wife, Kourtney Kardashian. Travis and Kourtney had been friends for quite some time before they started dating in 2020. Previously, it had been alleged that he was interested in her sister, Kim Kardashian but once he and Kourt got together, they could not keep their hands to themselves. Christopher Landon is to make Drop, a new thriller whose cast is coming together. More on the movie right here.
It’s been several months now since Christopher Landon – he of Happy Death Day and Freaky – departed Scream 7 as cast members Melissa Barrera (currently on the big screen in the terrific Abigail) and Jenna Ortega left the films for different reasons (Ortega’s commitments to shooting the new series of Wednesday were said to have taken her out of the film). Landon was reported to have moved on at the end of last year, but even then, it was weeks before that he apparently quit the project.
While Kevin Williamson picks up Scream 7 – with a returning Neve Campbell – Christopher Landon has effectively gone home, to Jason Blum’s Blumhouse company. Well, that and Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes. The two production companies are coming together for the film Drop,...

Melissa Gilbert had a ready answer when asked why fans of Little House on the Prairie always seem to burst into tears whenever they see her in person.
“Because I do! I think it’s just, you know … the show evokes so much emotion in people and made everybody feel,” Gilbert told the crowd Friday at the three-day Little House on the Prairie Cast Reunion and Festival in Simi Valley, CA. “So when they see us, they have the feels, and then the leftover feels from 50 years ago. Now they’re feeling it again through children and grandchildren. There’s this continuity and sense of family. This is a giant family reunion.”

Well, Spyglass paid up to keep in the Sidney Prescott business.
Neve Campbell shared on Instagram Tuesday that she will be back for “Scream VII” after publicly shunning the project following a low pay offer — and that the movie is back on track after seemingly falling apart last fall.
The actress, who has played final girl Sidney in the franchise dating back to the 1996 original directed by Wes Craven, also shared that the next film will be directed by Kevin Williamson. He was the screenwriter of the original “Scream,” plus “Scream 2,” and has served in roles as a producer or executive producer on the films since. Williamson steps in as director after Christopher Landon exited the film last year.

Updated with more details: Neve Campbell said Tuesday that she will return as Sidney Prescott for the next film in the Scream franchise.
In an Instagram post today, Campbell said she’s been asked back and is happy to return to the pic, which for now is known only as Untitled Scream 7 and will be directed by original Scream writer Kevin Williamson from a script penned by Guy Busick.
Campbell, an original Scream star, did not appear in last year’s sixth movie of the franchise because of a pay dispute. Her most recent appearance in the series was 2022’s Scream, which served as a franchise reboot. She had signaled as recently as January that she wouldn’t rule out returning to the role for the right price.
“It’s always been such a blast and an honor to get to play Sidney in the Scream movies,” Campbell wrote today.

As “Scream 7” continues to be reworked after a series of setbacks that saw cast members and the director leaving the project, star Mason Gooding is confident the movie will still get made.
“If it could make money, I guarantee you, they’ll make it,” the actor told Variety at Vanity Fair and Instagram’s pre-Oscars Vanities party on Wednesday night at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood.
But Gooding, who played Chad Meeks-Martin in the last two “Scream” movies, insists he’s not in the loop on where things stand today. “It’s one of those things where you wait to hear from the people that make the big decisions,” he said.

Freaky and Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon was supposed to be heading into production on Scream 7 soon – but that project has turned out to be so troubled, he had to activate his ejector seat and get out of there. Things are looking good for him now that he has escaped from that mess, as he recently signed on to direct the werewolf thriller Big Bad, and now Deadline reports that he’ll be directing the “fast-paced thriller” Drop for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes, the production company team that has previously brought us the Purge franchise. Drop has even found its lead already: Meghann Fahy, who was recently seen on season 2 of The White Lotus.
Details on the story Drop will be telling have not been revealed. All we know is the “fast-paced thriller” description and the fact that the screenplay has been written by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach,...

The 2018 horror movie Truth or Dare may not exactly be remembered here in 2024 – fondly or otherwise – but it was actually a massive hit for Universal and Blumhouse in theaters. Made on a production budget of just $3.5 million, the horror movie starring Lucy Hale and Tyler Posey scared up $95 million at the box office, so it’s a bit surprising there was never a sequel.
But was Blumhouse ever planning on playing another round of Truth or Dare at the time? According to a new report from Variety, a wild sequel concept almost saw the light of day.
“We actually wrote a ‘Truth or Dare’ sequel,” director Jeff Wadlow, whose new movie Imaginary arrives in theaters in March, explains. “In the first one, there’s about nine characters and seven of them die. I didn’t want to do a ‘Final Destination’-style sequel or ‘Truth or Dare’ and it’s...

After Truth or Dare made $95 million on a budget of $3.5 million, a follow-up felt like a no-brainer, but it never happened. However, according to Variety, a Truth or Dare sequel did almost happen before the plug was pulled at the last minute.
Truth or Dare follows a group of college students who play a game of truth or dare while on vacation in Mexico, only to realize it has deadly consequences if they don’t follow through on their obligations. The young cast bonded during production and gave director Jeff Wadlow the idea for a very meta sequel in the vein of Wes Craven’s New Nightmare.

The 2018 Blumhouse chiller “Truth or Dare” was a profitable hit for the company, making over $95 million worldwide on a $3.5 million budget. The film — about a demon named Calux that is activated by the titular party game — starred a buzzy cast full of young talent, including “Teen Wolf” lead Tyler Posey, “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale, Violett Beane, Landon Liboiron and Sam Lerner, who all bonded offscreen during filming. That camaraderie led to a sequel idea that could have been one of Blumhouse’s most innovative movies.
While talking about his upcoming film “Imaginary,” Jeff Wadlow, who directed “Truth or Dare” and co-wrote it with Michael Reisz, Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, revealed the ambitious plans for a sequel that almost started production during quarantine.

Antoine Fuqua is set to direct a feature documentary about Nelson Mandela, Variety has learned.
Provisionally titled “Troublemaker: The Story Behind the Mandela Tapes,” the doc will use newly discovered audio interviews with Mandela himself to deliver an “honest, accurate and definitive depiction” of the man who remains a global symbol of justice, hope and universal human dignity, according to a press release.
The “Training Day” director has teamed with Mandela’s close friend and former cellmate Mac Maharaj on the project, who will serve as an executive producer. While spending 12 years alongside Mandela in a tiny cell on Robben Island, Maharaj transcribed Mandela’s autobiography before eventually smuggling it out of jail. He later went on to become a minister in Mandela’s government.

Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures wanted to move quickly on Scream 7… then the version of the film they wanted to move quickly on crumbled piece by piece. Scream (2022) and Scream VI directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are finishing work on their Universal Monsters movie Abigail (formerly known as Dracula’s Daughter), so with returning writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick working on the script, the companies hired Freaky and Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon to direct the film and started reaching out to actors. Jenna Ortega allegedly wanted a substantial pay raise to reprise the role of Tara Carpenter… and as we saw when Neve Campbell dropped out of Scream VI due to a pay dispute, these pay issues don’t tend to work out. So Ortega was out, but Melissa Barrera was on board to come back as Tara’s sister Samantha. Until she was fired from...

Based on Anna Todd books, After is a romantic drama film series that has released five titles so far. In all the films, there are two characters that remain constant, even though the casting of the supporting actors keeps changing. Hardin Scott and Tessa Young were constants who went through their own journey of falling in and out of their relationship, which shaped them as human beings ready to face the world. Only one person out of the two was mature enough to make the right decision, and that was Tessa. Being the younger of two did not stop her from having a sensible head on her shoulder.
Tessa’s story began as a girl in her late teens moving to college and having a high school sweetheart by her side as well. Tessa’s mother and herself have remained each other’s constants so far, and her life so far has been decided.

Kathryn Newton Talks ‘Lisa Frankenstein,’ Young Avengers, ‘Big Little Lies 3’ and ‘Freaky Death Day’
Kathryn Newton’s feature film career continues to bear fruit.
Just five years ago, she was a series regular on two hit television series, HBO’s Big Little Lies and Netflix’s The Society, but when the pandemic played a role in the un-renewal of the latter, Newton wasted no time amassing an impressive slate of films. First up was Christopher Landon’s well-received slasher comedy, Freaky, that made three times its $6 million production budget during the height of the pandemic. She then followed that up with Ian Samuels’ hidden time-loop gem, The Map of Tiny Perfect Things, on Amazon Prime Video. In between these two films, she also received a career-altering offer to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ant-Man’s daughter, Cassie Lang, beginning with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) and potentially a Young Avengers movie at some point.

It is the season to fall in love. February is just around the corner, and every person in love or seeking it is switching on to movies that tap into the emotion. There is no greater form of feeling than love, and with Valentine’s Day just two weeks away, it would be interesting to know what kind of movies could be viewed on that day with your loved ones. After is a series of five films based on Anna Todd’s series of novels that chronicles the stories of Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, who fall in love during their time in college.
The first film, After, was all about Tessa Young rediscovering her life in college after growing up under the thumb of her mother. She planned everything about her daughter’s life, including the college she would attend and what she would pursue after her education was completed.

“After she [spoke out], then a whole bunch of other actors and people in the industry started to do the same thing, right?” Panettiere said. “It was almost like she just did it earlier than everyone else.” Panettiere added that she reached out to Barrera after hearing the news, who thanked her for reaching out. “You know, a lot of people hadn’t really asked her how she felt,” Panettiere said, adding that she’s not worried about Barrera. “Melissa is such a badass as a human being and as an actress,” she said. “She was hurt by it,...

Melissa Barrera continues to open up about her firing from the “Scream” franchise. The actor played Sam Carpenter, the daughter of Billy Loomis, in 2022’s “Scream” and 2023’s “Scream 6,” the latter of which set a franchise box office record with $108 million at the domestic box office. She was supposed to continue playing the character in the upcoming “Scream 7,” but she was fired last November after social media posts about Palestine that Spyglass, the studio behind “Scream,” interpreted as antisemitic.
Barrera previously told the Associated Press that “the last few months have been a big awakening” and “I’m just so grateful for everything that’s happened.” Now she’s told Rolling Stone that the Palestine posts that led to her firing “shouldn’t be controversial,” as she was just advocating for human rights.
