The time-traveling world has expanded farther than we imagined in Port Haven.
Hallmark's hit time-traveling family drama wrapped up its sophomore season by utterly blowing our minds with the revelations to come during The Way Home Season 2 Episode 10.
And we've been reeling from that finale and what it could mean for the series trajectory as it has blessedly gotten its Season 3 renewal.
But we're left to wonder if the series has overshot itself by dropping so many surprising moments during the finale, jumping the shark, or if their ambition is merely a mark of their greatness and more fabulous things to come.
Frankly, if this question had been posed during the first half to midseason, I would've admitted I was a woman of little faith.
The Way Home Season 2 was rocky, with the season not capturing the same level of magic as the first season, which is a routine pattern.

Spoiler Alert: This post contains spoilers from “Bring Me to Life,” the Season 2 finale of Hallmark’s “The Way Home,” which streams on Peacock and Hallmark Movies Now.
“The Way Home” added another jaw-dropping twist in the Season 2 finale, “Bring Me to Life,” which aired Sunday night on Hallmark. Jacob (Spencer MacPherson) returned home to the present day, bringing Kat’s (Chyler Leigh) Season 2 quest to a close — but that wasn’t the most shocking moment of the finale. After Kat declared, “I wish Dad was here to see this,” to her little brother, the show moved to a flashback of a very young Colton in period clothing talking to an old woman about how it wasn’t his time to go in the pond. Another flashback revealed that it was actually adult Colton (Jefferson Brown) standing in the bushes watching himself with a young Jacob (Remy Smith) at the...

What is happening?
There are so many balls up in the air after The Way Home Season 2 Episode 7 that it's hard to see a straight line to the finish.
There is so much to discuss, so let's get started.
Things are coming to a head in the Landry family, and Kat's need to hold all of her secrets close to the vest could ultimately tear her family apart again.
I think we have to tell Del the truth about everything. It’s the only choice we have.

The possibilities for her to get stuck in the past or for Jacob to die are very real, and if she fails to share what she knows with Del, no matter how her mother takes the news, she will regret it.

Hallmark officially picked up The Way Home Season 2 in March 2023, revealing that the show had been a winner in the TV ratings in its Sunday night timeslot.
Even more impressive is that it beat out the likes of The Real Housewives of Potomac, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, and Home Town in key demographics.

Judging from the marketing of The Tutor, you’d be forgiven for mistaking the film for a contemporary queer update of a film like The Crush (1993). While not exclusively the purview of the 90s, a film like The Crush – in which an underage “sexpot” with a malicious streak ensnares an older man in her web of sexual intrigue – prospered in the era of Erotic Thrillers, Dtv and Vcrs.
Films in which adults are tempted into sexual relationships with minors are considered taboo for mainstream contemporary audiences. This is why the marketing of The Tutor was intriguing: the trailer suggests that rich, privileged teen Jackson (Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp) unfairly accuses his working class tutor Ethan (Garrett Hedlund) of improper behaviour. The young man then begins to stalk and effectively ruin the life of the older man, jeopardizing his reputation and the status of his relationship with pregnant girlfriend, Annie (Victoria Justice...

The expected and the unexpected worked in tandem on The Way Home Season 1 Episode 10, ultimately setting up an entirely different journey for the Landry women for the show's second season.
The finale worked to suggest that the more secrets that are uncovered within the Landry family, the longer the show can continue while still keeping things fresh.
When season-enders close current storylines and open new chapters, everyone wins.
It's hard to know where to start with so much to discuss, so we'll begin by addressing the shocking, sad, but somewhat inevitable first.
Elliot chose to walk away from Kat.
When you take the whole picture into account, it makes sense that he'd want to go in this direction. It's not easy discovering your future was already mapped out for you when you've yet to chart your own path in life.

Hallmark Channel’s The Way Home has raised plenty of questions heading into its season finale on March 26. From the mystery of what happened to Jacob to the overarching question of whether it’s possible to change the past, the time-travel series isn’t afraid to grapple with some big issues. The show also has yet to reveal exactly how many people know that time travel is possible. While Kat, Alice, and Elliot are all aware the pond is a portal to the past, it’s not yet clear if Del is in on the secret. But Andie MacDowell thinks she probably has her suspicions.

Will Kat and Alice find a way to prevent the family tragedy that changed the Landry family forever? In the upcoming episode of Hallmark Channel’s The Way Home, the women begin to dig into what happened to Kat’s brother Jacob more than two decades ago – and explore whether they may be able to use their newfound ability to time-travel to prevent his disappearance. That storyline will presumably play out over the second half of The Way Home’s debut season as the show heads to its finale at the end of March.

We've dreamt of the day we'd see Sam Landry get evicted from his own property, and it finally happened on Queen Sugar Season 7 Episode 12.
So why did such an epic moment in this saga feel like such a letdown?
Despite watching the Bordelons battle the Landrys for seven seasons, Sam Landry's eviction fell flat due to a lack of buildup.
In one episode, we learned that Sam was in debt and not paying his bills. In the next, we got one scene of Ralph Angel testifying in front of the Usda, and then Ralph Angel, Darla, Billie, and Prosper watched the Sheriff's officers remove Sam's furniture from his home.
It should have been satisfying, but it wasn't because there was no drama in these scenes.
Why didn't we see Sam sweating this moment as he tried to call in favors from everyone he knew to keep the wolf from his door?...

Documentaries rarely turn out as originally conceived. They evolve once the cameras roll — unexpected characters may emerge or new facts come to light. It’s in the nature of an unscripted artform.
But in the case of the new film Accepted, that documentary truism reached an extreme. Director Dan Chen and producers Jason Y. Lee and Jesse Einstein thought they were embarking on a film with a predictable narrative when things suddenly and dramatically changed.
“The proverbial shit hit the fan,” says Lee.
The initial concept behind Accepted was to explore Tm Landry, a school in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana with a remarkable track record getting its students — mostly minority kids — into Ivy League or other prestige universities. The private K-12 school gained fame for viral videos that showed an anxious student in front of a laptop, surrounded by classmates, awaiting word on whether they had been accepted at Harvard, Yale,...
