Micheal Douglas went viral last year when he told THR on the “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” red carpet that he would only be interested in returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Hank Pym in a fourth “Ant-Man” movie “as long as I can die.” It turns out that was actually Douglas’ wish for “Quantumania.”
Appearing on “The View” (via Entertainment Weekly) to promote his new Apple TV+ historical drama series “Franklin,” Douglas revealed that he actually wanted to be killed off from the MCU in the third “Ant-Man” movie. He even asked for a huge special effects bonanza to help send Hank Pym into the great beyond.
“[Getting killed off] actually was my request for the third one,” Douglas said. “I said I’d like to have a serious [death], with all these great special effects. There’s got to be some fantastic way where I can shrink to an ant size and explode,...

Being an avid fan of the Dr Seuss franchise since a young age it was very exciting to see a new adaptation on Netflix. Most people are familiar with the ‘green eggs and hamʼ poem but many people know the story it appears in and so this adaptation serves as an advertisement for the Dr Seuss storybooks etc.
Certain aspects of this series were adapted to fit into the 21st century and small changes were used to make this show stand out for the other version of this classic story. To start with the narrator (Keegan-Michael Key) delivered the iconic Seussian rhymes at multiple points in each episode, in an almost street style way which gave a really interesting effect on the words being spoken. When I first heard the lines spoken in a gangster-style I was surprised but as the series continued it grew on me and by the...

A few days back, Marvel Studio's decided to have a little fun with us and released an extra tiny teasing look at the upcoming Ant-Man trailer (which will be shown during the premiere of Agent Carter tomorrow night). Now we have a proper human sized version, giving us a first look at the main players, including Paul Rudd as the titular hero, Evangeline Lily as Hope Van Dyne, daughter of Micheal Douglas' original Ant-Man Henry Pym (who we see fleetingly), and Corey Stoll's Darren Cross, also known as the villainous Yellowjacket. Check it out below. Released: 17th July Synopsis: Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles,...

It was recently announced that the Sundance Institute will present actress and arts advocate Glenn Close with its Vanguard Leadership Award in recognition of her distinguished career in entertainment and advocacy of independent film.
Close is probably best remembered for her role as Alex Forrest in the 1987 box office smash hit Fatal Attraction. Also featuring a youthful looking Micheal Douglas, the film coined the term ‘bunny boiler’ after the infamous scene which shows the family pet cooking on the stove.
We take a closer look at what Fatal Attraction tells us about the 80′s…
4. Single Women Are to Be Feared…
Women like Alex Forrest appear to be the image of all things wrong with society at the time, highlighting the importance of conforming. Alex’s depiction as a strong career woman, who at the same time is profoundly psychotic, highlights the negative connotations associated with her appearance, life choices and behaviour.

Challenging The Wolf Pack for the title of Kings Of Las Vegas, here comes Micheal Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline in the fantastic teaser trailer for Jouhn Turtletaub's Last Vegas. This is one movie I thought I'd never see these actors come together for, but they have all shown a knack for comedy apart, so together they should absolutely kill it. Especially Morgan Freeman and his hilarious reaction to Red Bull and Vodka! Synopsis: Three sixty-something friends take a break from their day-to-day lives to throw a bachelor party in Las Vegas for their last remaining single pal. Released: 1st November (U.S.)/ 20th December (U.K./Irl)...

After recently reading an interview with David S Goyer (writer of “Batman Begins” among others) on his new TV show “DaVinci’s Demons” on AfterElton.com (a gay centered entertainment site) as he tried to argue that his show won’t shy away from the historically factual homosexual lifestyle Leonardo da Vinci is strongly believed to have led, it struck me just how much homosexuals, of which I am one, have had to put up with in the last couple of years when it comes to lack of homosexual media representation and in particular this idea of “straight-washing” homosexuality from our film and TV screens.
Though the show “DaVinci’s Demons” has yet to air, David S Goyer’s comments as he tried to defend his apparent “straight-washing” of Leonardo da Vinci rubbed me the wrong way, and for good reason, because he used the same kind of rhetoric and defensive speaking secret homophobes,...

It's been over 30 years since this classic came out and it still holds up today as well as it did 30+ years ago (that is if you don't read the IMDb about the ending). The Mysterious Mr Fear has the take that it's a well done Pyscho Santa movie, with a super creepy killer. I, on the other hand, looked at it as more of a Shakespearian type tragedy with the Santa Killer being more on the level of Micheal Douglas in Falling Down. It just goes to sho…...

More than twenty years and one massive financial crisis later, audiences are still ready to accept that “greed is good.”
Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” opened to a bullish $7 million on Friday in 3,565 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, according to studio estimates.
As Harrison Ford found with 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” pairing the graying Micheal Douglas with the youthful Shia Labeouf seemed to have broadened the audience for the $55 million movie.

"Wonder Boys" is a little known film that came out about 10 years back. Despite an all star cast (Micheal Douglas, Katie Holmes, Toby Maguire, Robert Downey Jr., Frances McDormand and Rip Torn) and praise from many critics the film wound up being a box office flop. They even released it a second time with a different ad campaign. It was nominated for awards, including a couple Oscars. but still remains relatively unknown. The film is based upon the novel of the same name by Micheal Chabon and revolves around a lost weekend of a writing professor named Grady Tripp (Douglas). Tripp becomes a...
