- Bryan Basil was born in Los Angeles, California in 1992. After relocating to southern Tennessee, he attended the nationally-recognized Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts, majoring in theatre. During his time in school, he studied a myriad of theatrical subjects. He had the opportunity to study with Keith Johnstone, Beth Henley, and other professionals. While only at a high school or introductory college level, these unique class experiences gave him a thirst to learn and experience more in the field. In 2006, he started to break into film acting when he volunteered to extra in We Are Marshall. Later that year, he was cast in the low-budget cult classic Jesus H. Zombie, released in 2007. As schoolwork became more of a priority, he took time off from film acting and started modeling in free time, as well as taking part in numerous stage productions. He graduated high school in 2009, one year earlier than anticipated, and went on to briefly study rapier-and-dagger stage combat in Georgia, and perform in the Back Door Theatre's Fall 2009 production of An Enemy of the People. In 2010, he moved to Chicago, interested in the modeling and acting opportunities available, where he attended Columbia College, taking part in its ground-breaking cinematography program. After a three-year hiatus from the silver screen, he came back to film acting in Steven Soderbergh's 2011 film, Contagion, in a minute role. Whether due to his work in front of the camera or behind it, Bryan Basil will, in the near-future, be a household name.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Ron Scott
